Spent a night at Saxon Lodge. The location is perfect for anyone basing themselves here for a whale watching or white shark cage diving at gaansbai. It’s a well maintained property with a small pool overlooking the harbour. Has a restaurant and bar with good selection and reasonable pricing. Check in was smooth and I cannot stress enough on how sweet the staff are. They gave us suggestions, took an extra trip up to our room to give us additional emergency lighting as there was a load shedding scheduled. Also made sure we were comfortable with the right cushions and more light while we were having dinner (again during load shedding) definitely recommend.

Second time at this lodge and it's beyond. So much attention to detail lots of character and charm, touch of boho, my favorite type of decor/design. Thank you Kerry and her husband for making my husband's and i time there truly magnificent. All the best for your future endeavors!

We found this place on our road trip. From the first second we have been in love with this hidden paradise and the people that run it. Everyone made us feel welcome and gave us tips for our travel. We had chats during loadshedding at the bar, it was an incredible vibe. The rooms are spacious, clean and you can feel the love and attention to detail in every corner. We extended our stay as we felt so relaxed and good. On our road trip through the western cape we've seen a lot of nice places, but this one has won our hearts. We will be back and highly recommend it to everyone.

I am a disabled person in a wheelchair. The Saxon lodge cater for disabled people. The ramps are 100% wheelchair friendly. The room I stayed in was 100% accesable. The bathroom/toilet is 100% wheelchair friendly. I will recomend it for disabled people. Service friendly. Thanks

The lodge had a beautiful view, wonderful staff, good food and clean rooms. We had a wonderful stay!

The service was very good. The breakfast was served hot and a lot of options to choose from. Excellent place to go with family.
