It's my first time at any lighthouse. As a tourist destination, it has been very well maintained and managed. The entry ticket for adults is reasonably priced at ₹10. You can feel the rounded stairs to reach the lighthouse until a certain point, and then there is a narrowed staircase to reach the top where the light is installed. You can enjoy the view from here, and I assure you that you will never regret it. It's a must-visit scenic spot.

The Mamallapuram Lighthouse is a beacon of both history and breathtaking views. Climbing to the top of this historic structure is an adventure in itself, offering a unique perspective of the coastal town of Mahabalipuram. The panoramic vistas from the lighthouse are simply stunning. You'll get a bird's-eye view of the ancient rock-cut monuments, the bustling shoreline, and the endless expanse of the Bay of Bengal. It's a photographer's paradise, especially during sunrise or sunset. The lighthouse itself carries a rich heritage, with its striking red and white stripes standing tall against the backdrop of the sea. It's a symbol of maritime history and a reminder of the town's seafaring past.

Visited on Tuesday..Don't listen to people standing outside saying that they ll get the tickets easily..There is a QR code enabled ticket available and we just need to provide ID proof and pay Rs.35 per adult as fee... The access inside is very steep after a certain point of time and not recommended for elders...but the view is breathtaking and very natural..must visit place

Light House in Mammalpuram is surely must visit as it provides glimpses in historical past of Pallava kingdom. Mammalpuram or Mahabalipuram was port city of Pallava Kingdom. Need to be fit to visit this place.. You have climb stairs and travel on slope.. Must visit place.. All attractions are nearby within 1 km to enjoy.

Beautiful place This place has a separate charge for entry Rs 10 and rs 5 for adults and kids Has a waiting period if it’s a weekend They allow people batch by batch to avoid crowding at the top Spiral stairs leads to the first stop And from there it’s a steep 10-15 steps leading to the top Bit challenging for kids and elders The light setup is still there unfortunately due to crowd we couldn’t stand and see the details Went to top saw the view and have to return down Recommended place

I recently visited Mamallapuram Light House and was blown away by the stunning views from the top! The climb up the stairs was a bit challenging, but it was well worth it for the breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and the surrounding town. The lighthouse itself is a beautiful historic structure, and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The ticket price was also very reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Mamallapuram Light House if you're in Mahabalipuram. It's a must-see attraction that offers a unique and unforgettable experience
