Friend and I trained at Dangs during our 2 month stay in Thailand. Everyone at Dang’s is welcoming and the gym has a family vibe. The experienced trainers can get the most out of beginners and those who’ve trained for years. Great for fitness as the trainers push everyone to be their best and they stay true to their motto Never Tired. Saw a lot of improvement from the 1:1 sessions which were great value for money. Was a pleasure to train at the gym and will be back soon!

Luv it! The owner is funny and he tricked me the first time I got there😂 All the instructors are super friendly and kind. They also got a good price here with one on one session. You can borrow the gloves and all kind of stuff there so all u have to do is just go there and have fun! I get super tired after the class but would definitely recommend it! Next time coming to Chiangmai, Dang would be my first choice😍!

If you are in Chiang Mai and want a place to train, stop looking and just come to Dang. We did the group class and it did not disappoint! Here was the schedule: --Warm up 20 mins --Shadow boxing 10 minutes --Intermediate/advanced spar with the local killers/ other tourists 1 hour. Everyone else Hit pads and do bag work --Hit pads 20 minutes -- cool down 15 minutes. Please hydrate before, because you will be soaked! Everyone was super nice and the class was a mix between first timers and guys training for a fight.

I've been to gyms all across Thailand and training for a while now. I came to Dang's because it was convenient to where I was staying, and loved it there. Very personal, casual, and friendly, and very solid instructors. They work as well with experienced fighters as with beginners and run an excellent gym in the old city of Chang Mai. Very happy I went there.

Dang is a great trainer, he will push you but also makes it fun! The other trainers are all amazing too - great skill with different styles/techniques so there is some variety! They train women, men and children of all fitness & skill levels here. I prefer working 1:1 but the gym offers small group classes also. I trained here for 3 months and the workouts were never stale. I will definitely return to this gym when I’m back in Chiangmai!

My wife and I took a private class with one instructor for the both of us, and it was Dang the owner! It was our first time, and we really enjoyed it. First we did some jump rope, maneuver drills, and stretching. We learned kicking and punching techniques, combos, and elbow hits. We put it all into practice with Dang and his partner for about thirty minutes. The class flew by, and we were ready for more! Whether your living in Chiang Mai, or just passing through, we definitely recommend training with Dang!

I joined a group class here, as I used to do kick boxing in the UK with a champion instructor. The class was just the same.....it was killer! A tough warm up, some shadow boxing to get technique, then did bag work, interspersed with one on one pad work with an instructor. The instructors were nice. I found the use of a foam tube during the warm up, highly amusing and much preferred to the traditional whacking stick. 😆 If you want a full on no holds bared experience look no further.

I attended in Dec 2022 and had such a great time! I've done a bit of boxing but next Muay Thai and the team here made it so much fun for everyone in our group, regardless of their experience. Thank you!

5 out of 5 stars! I did a private lesson in June 2023 with my two 6 y/o sons. Everything went great. Chok, our instructor, was great with them, super patient, fun, but also a great Muy Thai coach (and also Champion) who had a title fight that same night! Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in Chiang Mai. My only regret is I waited until my last day to go! I wish I had gone all three days I was in town!

Love this place, Kru Dang knows exactly how to train depending on boxing experience, body type and fitness level. Great location too right in the heart of old city!

I’d highly recommend this gym. The trainers are very kind, encouraging and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. This gym is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced. The work out is tough but they motivate you and support you along the way. I really love the balance between group classes and private classes. I always feel great after my lessons. It’s a small gym so it has a cozy family vibe. You definitely get a work out though! They teach you many different styles and techniques. I’ll definitely be back.

I trained at dang muay thai for 6 or so months on and off. Wonderful trainers who give you 1:1 coaching that definitely progress you from beginner all the way into fighting in local arenas. What I like the most about training here is that class sizes are smaller and focus on you as an individual there's plenty of chances for sparring and they adjust to your level. Highly reccomended!

Best Muay Thai gym with the best trainers. I trained at dang for 6 weeks, it was my first time fully training Muay Thai with only having the odd session here and there. The whole team is extremely welcoming and they make the training super fun & gruelling 😅. I highly recommend training here the team will look after you and push you to your limit 💪🏼

Very well organized class. We are complete beginners and the class was done in a way that everyone could join. Beginners had their programme, intermediate as well as the advanced. It was a demanding my class, so a certain level of fitness is needed, but don’t let it stop you trying it out.

I really enjoyed my class today even as a beginner the trainers were helpful. But damn that was a workout. Professional as. Definitely recommend anyone wanting to join these classes, must do in Chiang Mai

Attended the group class. It was intensive but beginner friendly. They customise the practice according to different levels to ensure it's a good challenge for everyone. There are drinks for sale in the refrigerator. Complimentary bananas are provided after practice as well. Great vibes overall. Had an amazing time here.

Great place to train, my husband and I had two full days in Chiang Mai and we decided to give Muay Thai a go - my husband has some experience and me none. It was a great studio with amazing trainers who cater to all levels. It was a good workout, we were dripping with sweat at the end of it and picked up some good techniques. Muay Thai is a must in Thailand and this studio is a good place to experience it, from beginners to pros.

Took my teenager here to join a group session to try Muay Thai in Thailand for the first time ever. He loved it and came out drenched, it was full-on. Throughout, the trainers were attentive and professional, also the regulars were very welcoming and accommodating. Great crowd of people!

Do not hesitate to book a class is the best of the best Muay Thai class in Chiang Mai. I loved it and will definitely come back in my next trip. The environment is super friendly. They teach you techniques and make you sweat. I end all my classes with the Hugh smile. I still regret not having take a picture with the trainers, but that’s another motivation to come back. Keep the amazing work you are doing!

The Muay Thai group clinic at Dang Muay Thai Chiang Mai was fantastic! Skilled trainers, relaxed atmosphere and a very high quality training session. Warm up, techniques, heavy bagwork, pad work and even sparring for the more experienced fighters: they have it all! I really recommend a training!!!

Great gym! I was in a group class today with about 15 others. The trainers are all store helpful and it’s a fun environment and a great workout! I’d highly recommend them if you’re in Chiang Mai!

Trainers are very professional and approachable, making the training an enjoyable experience. Wraps and gloves are provided if you don’t have your own. Equipment is being cleaned and sanitised regularly. Their booking system on website is systematic and they don’t require any deposit. I had a fun yet intensive training, hope this place will remain the same standard when I return next time.

This is a review from a hobbyist with a bit of experience. Fighters and beginners may have a different experience. I have trained here for two weeks, taking a combination of group and private classes. The group classes were fun and very cardio focused. You'll do warm ups, technique drills, optional sparring, bag work, and 3 rounds of pad work. My two issues with the group classes is that one they were absolutely PACKED, and two you won't receive much technique correction from trainers as they need to make sure everyone get their rounds in. The private classes were great, especially for only 550 baht. Unlike the group sessions, I did receive technique correction and other tips from my trainer. Great pad work and controlled sparring rounds with my trainer, I definitely got humbled. The main issue I had was that we didn't do any focused clinching during my two weeks there. I read other reviews from various people saying there was clinch work, so I was a bit disappointed I didn't get to do any outside sparring. Overall I did get a good workout and had lots of fun. The people were all very kind and the overall vibe of the gym was very positive. I would recommend this gym and would also suggest you include some private sessions in your training if possible.

I was only in Chiang Mai for 5 days and planned for 1 lesson, no background in Muay Thai, but I ended coming back for more! Kru Chok was such a good instructor. He was patient and he also laughed with me when I would mess up. It was very fun and a good workout. They have a really good team here. Highly recommend this place!

They gave my family a great intro to Muay Thai by finding some space for us in a class. It was a very welcoming environment and we all had a challenging workout. Highly positive experience!

"Great experience, nice instructors, careful level adjustments" It was my first time taking Muay Thai class in my life. I was just running by and accidentally found this place, and i am very grateful for what I have found out. They were all time nice to me and kindly instructed me from the beginning of Muay Thai. I hope to visit Dang Muay Thai again next time I come to Chiang Mai for sure. Thanks for the great experience.

Amazing. I train casually in the US and this gym was the perfect place for me to keep training while away. The outdoor gym is a really cool experience. The instructors were great. They picked up on who had experience and who didn't and customized the training for everyone in this class to suit their needs. I did one of the afternoon classes and it consisted of a good warm up, a bit of technique, some light sparring and finally a few great rounds of pad work from one of the instructors. He pushed me pretty close to my limit.. the Thai heat is no joke. The class was mostly beginners and they made it approachable but still challenging for everyone. 10/10 highly recommend and I will be back!

Had two trainings when I stayed in old town Ching Mai. Super nice owner and coaches. It is easy to book via their QR website. Really glad I had a chance to do some bucket sweating workout here amid my lazy vacation. The vibe here is nice and you can tell there are rapports between “long term”students and coaches!

Very friendly gym in old city, professional but still welcoming and makes beginners feel encouraged. If you've done even a little bit of training before you can see these guys are the real deal. Will be back next time I'm in Chiang Mai. Gave a very good introduction to one of my friends on holidays in Thailand.

Very nice authentic gym!! Trainers are very friendly. Their English is not that good (but my Thai is even worse) so communication is a little bit of a struggle. The trainers have a lot of experience which makes this an ideal place for beginners and experts. I’ve had a lot of fun trying this gym out, wish i could have stayed longer and trained more.

I joined Dang Muay Thai Chiang Mai gym 2 years ago. It has great coaches, who are willing to go above and beyond on helping you grow. May that be with improvements on your fitness or technique. It has a great variety of classes, friendly atmosphere and high standard of coaching

Amazing Muay Thai gym. The trainers know how to push you to your limit. I love it that they deliberately keep the group classes small, so you get a lot of personal attention from the trainers. The classes offer a lot of variety and useful drills. I recommend this gym to everyone, at any level. Best gym I have trained so far worldwide!

After 4 years of living in Chiang Mai without any form of exercise and too much of the good life I decided it was time to do something. I saw a post on the local fb pages and thought I'd give Muay Thai a go. After my first class with Dang I knew this was for me. Dang's style and experience means he can train anyone, for a middle aged, unfit, over weight blob like me, to young, fit, experienced fighters. He knows the right method and teaching style to get the most out of each student, fine tuning the sessions to best suit the student on that day. I can only manage 2 sessions per week, but in just 2 months the improvement in my health and shape is very noticable. Give Dang a chance, I guarantee you'll be back for more!

Fantastic little gym in the centre of Chiang Mai. As a total novice, I can recommend doing a one to one session with Dang. A great way to learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai, as well as get in shape. Highly recommend this gym to anyone arriving in Chiang Mai looking to learn Muay Thai

I had my first private session of muy thai with Dang and can honestly say it made me fall in love with the sport. Dang was a great teacher, patient and calm. I've learnt so much in just an hour an a half.
