Red Mountain surprised me with very good and friendly service which I am really grateful for. Absolutely love Spur and their famous Ribs & Chips as well as their Steaks. Although I had really great service and food I give this Spur a average star mark because of location. Not spectacularly situated at the entrance of the Mall but that is just my own opinion. I can definitely recommend them for their food and good service.

Friendly experience and all around nice environment. Food preparation a bit on the slow side but worth the wait.

This spur is definetely a favourite among my family. The spur as TWO play areas, two bathrooms in the Spur ((litteraly inside the spur, you don't have to walk out of spur to go to the bathroom)), A LOT of seats/tables, TV Screens that shows the latest live sport as well as cartoons for the little ones. This Spur is a family favourite because it suites everyone in the family, be it the kids or the elderly. We celebrated my granmothers birthday and even our business meetings can be held here. This spur is one step away from THE BEST spur ever and that is only for the few that requires a smoking area. But aside from that we got the GREATEST service ever from our waiter Mark (host). This sour really does take care of you and your family.

I'm sitting in Spur at this very moment and I'm extremely disappointed. It's not very busy but yet i do not even know which waiter is assigned to serve at my table. Approximately 4 different waiters are serving me and all of them are not interested in offering a good service. After asking for a take-away box (because the service was just pathetic) the waiter basically threw the take away box on my table. This doesn't even deserve 1 star!

This is the worst Spur I've ever been to. We decided to take the kids for a waffle on a Sunday after lunch but we were so disappointed! We were 4 adults and 2 kids, we got 1 waffle in a chipped plate and another with a long strand of synthetic hair in mine! We ordered juice for the kids of which came in plastic bottles. R19. 95 for a 200ml juice!!!!!!!!! We spoke to the manager and no apology whatsoever! The waitresses was unfriendly and unapproachable. I'm not from the area and thought because this Spur is in the mall, that the service would be good but WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! I don't recommend anyone to this horrible branch. I will rather go to the Spur in the dorp, but NEVER AGAIN for this Spur

The worst experience ever had the first waitress who was a tad bit of the "R" word, waitress didn't even bother mentioning her name or checking up on the table, took my drinks order and didn't even check in to tell me how long it would take for my meal, threw our side plate on the table and walked off. When I called the manager she handled it well and got a suitable person to help, big ups to the new waiter of our table Vanessa for helping and keeping us at ease. This matter needs to be addressed with the particular waiter as I did not want to make a scene

We were there for a birthday breakfast and we will always remember it

First time visiting and we were thoroughly impressed. Front of house was friendly but the best part of the evening has to be our amazing waitress Akona, she had a table of 12 but not once did it look like she was fazed. She was helpful, friendly and with having to juggle12 different orders she still kept her welcoming smile. This has to be the best customer service ever. She is truly a gem!

My husband loooove spur, some of the waitresses knows exactly what he eats! We always have a wonderful time and the services is great. Friendly, accommodating and fast

The service was bad and the food even worse. I asked for a medium rare steak but it was medium well and cold. The veggies was also not fresh. However, we were hungry and had limited time so we ate and left.

Always nice to visit this Spur. We have friends who stay in Paarl and when my kids were small this was our breakfast spot when we visited them. Fast forward a couple of years, and with them now having a little one, the tradition continues.

The food is always good, and the value for money can't be beat. They have a wide variety on the menu... from fish to steak and everything in-between. The kids (1 &3 years old) enjoy the play area, and we can always have an eye on them to know they are safe. They can also "tag" your child so an alarm goes off if they leave the restaurant without you knowing.

We waited for more than half an hour for our food. Only after we enquired about our food it eventually was served. The food was cold and it was immediately brought to the attention of the waitress who said that she had reported it to the manager. He/ she never came to our table. We nevertheless finished our food and left. We were accompanied by my 4year old granddaughter. She got a tag and I was highly impressed by the safety measures put in place for the children. Unfortunately we left the restaurant and only discovered at home that the tag was still attached to the child. No beeper or alarm went off so it could have happened while we were eating. We returned to the restaurant so that the tag could be removed. Again no one bothered to offer an apology. Absolutely shocking.

Friendly staff, amazing service and good food. The kids enjoyed the play area. There are lovely and kind women looking after them whilst you can sit back and relax for a moment.

Enjoyed their breakfast It's hot in Paarl so I would automatically expect my juice with ice cubes.

No service to speak of. Only 5 tables busy, had to call for waiter to help. Sat with menus, and finished glasses on table, till I asked them to remove it. Burger was gross. I only ever eat a cheddamelt, this one was terrible. Won't see me again.

Raw ball of dough in onion rings. Coffee is water, taste like hot tap water. Trainee waiters saying "huh" pulling their faces in stead of saying "excuse me". Another waitress making her way to the kitchen walking elderly out of the way. No respect. Service bad. Food not up to standard.

Had the most lovely breakfast here. Spotlessly clean with service so good it could be in a fine dining restaurant. What a pleasure to be served by such a friendly and kind faces. The manager came by to check on everything and made us feel so special upon finding out it was our honeymoon. Our server, Nokubonga deserves a special mention because in the 3 weeks we've been in SA we haven't been served by someone so lovely and friendly as her. The food was delicious and came quickly and the price was incredibly reasonable. We will definitely be back. Couldn't recommend more.

Very disappointed in the meal. The chips were oily and undercooked. The chicken schnitzel was both watery and oily. This is not my first underwhelming experience at this Spur and the staff/management just don't seem to care. I will never return, rather go to Cape Gate or Tygervalley.

We got there about an hour or so before closing on a Sunday. There was no one at the front desk. When we eventually got seated we could see that the waiter's minds were set on cleaning and getting ready to go home. I had to call a different waiter every time to get assistance. At one stage I had to walk to the kitchen to get attention. The manager also came to serve us at the end. I know going home after a long working day is everyone's objective and clening up before closing is a must but you still need staff attending to cusomers till the last minute. Even with all that the staff and management were friendly, helpful and always had a smile.

Was quiet at the time I was there. Staff are friendly. The food took maybe a little bit too long to come but it was good when it did arrive.

It's my first time in five years being back home. Me and my husband always said when we're home, Spur is our first stop. We were dreaming about eating ribs. To our shock, it is to expensive for our pockets. I know times are tough, the prices went through the roof and the plate of food got less. Was very disappointed. My son enjoyed the play area tho

Absolutely the best choice for a kids party. Value for money and so much fun. Service was a bit slow but they were busy. Food was great. Fun was had!

The special advertised outside was a bit misleading if you don't read ALL of it, but the waitress Vivianne was super friendly and gave a very nice alternative. Ribs and Calamari is my favorite by far. Loved the Mocktail very refreshing and delicious. Going back to try the summer coolers.

It was good. The service was great. The play area for the children needs more playing equipment and something suitable for younger kids and toddlers.

I have always had mixed feelings about this place, service and food was average. However, the last time we ate there, there was new staff training and we were served by one of the trainees. Probably the best service I have had in years! Waitress was polite and quick. Service was fast and we didn't have to ever look for service or get irritated by constant checking. A complete turn-around. A great experience.

We were 4 above 60 people from Worcester arrived in Paarl hungry at about 15h00 at Spur. The waitress was very friendly and assisted with menu's ASAP explained the various options...tasty steaks were ready in no time...and we also had chocolate and ice-cream....so so nice

Kid friendly, staff cares a lot children are safe, had the chicken bacon avo salad, children had fish fingers and chips with vanilla milkshake and creamsoda. Excellent choices great taste excellent service highly recommended

My 6 year old son had a great experience in 2 playrooms. The ribs could have been less dry. Lots of basting sauce, unmistakenly dry. I had a better experience in Parow Centre where the ribs was juicy and tender. Imagine my suprise ordering a 600g ribs that was overcooked. Must be grateful I didn't order a 1kg ribs. Service is great though. Beautiful waitress. Great vibe..lots of kids in playroom. My son new to Paarl, loves the friends.

Upon arrival I was very pleased with the friendly reception and was shown to my table . The waiter was super helpful with questions on the menu, took our orders and without anyone getting the wrong orders made sure we got it promptly. Very well done.

The service was so slow and bad, the food was dry, You need to really look at the service level. There was trainee's but no one checked on them. We had to ask for drink again etc. This was the worst spur We have ever attended

We celebrated our little one’s birthday here last night and had such an excellent overall experience that I must review them! Unfortunately we had an incident that required attention from the Manager, but it was dealt with in an professional and efficient manner - well done. Our waiter served us with professionalism and never stopped smiling, thank you Thembi. I had a birthday voucher that was about to expire that we decided to use, without saying anything she brought our bill, along with all her crew and they sang the birthday song over sparkles and ice cream! Well done for noticing it was a birthday voucher :)
