Comments like:"Very good place" or "very nice place"... please ...everything is relative. Let's not forget that 80% of foreign visitors who go to Pai are people with very primitive manners (always walks around barefoot, spits their snot everywhere, having no respect of the locals peoples tradition, etc.) and for whom Hygiene does not count much. So if you are this type of people then this place will fit perfectly with you.And of that 80% in Pai, there are 30% hippies (poor, lazy people with filthy hair, weed smokers still thinking you're in the woodstock era). So if you're one of those, then this place is for you! but if you are part of the remaining 20%, then this place will rather lift your heart and give you the impression of being unsanitary... that's my opinion

What can I say about this place other than it's unique and comforting aspect that aided my partner and I in our stay. Full of activities, musical instruments and many books to read. I was in awe of the many art pieces and fish ponds in the area that made it a lovely place stay. If anyone from Aussie or new Zealand comes to Thailand, I'd recommend making the trip to Pai and staying at good life dacha.

A unique place with so much to offer. We did the sauna and had an amazing time. Ended up staying here for hours. On top of that, we had some borsch. My first time having it in Thailand and was a nice surprise.

Such a hive of activity bestows this place on both the mornings, evenings and daytimes. A hive of more unusual activities grace the agenda here throughout the week. The people are friendly, considerate and energetically motivated. As well As the array of wonderful activities, the food is also pleasant and I’d highly recommend the bottled ice tea they produce, which I found very healing as-well as highly drinkable and moreish! Leaving the kids to play in the park whilst enjoying what Good Life Dacha has to offer made for a very pleasurable experience.

One of the most unexpected yet overwhelmingly positive parts of my 19 day trip to Thailand...I ended up staying here 8 nights (instead of an original 2) because of how lovely it was. Kay is a Ukranian-born Thai superman, who tends to the living organism which is Good Life Dacha, constantly making updates and tweaks. Every nook and cranny of the large-yet-intimate space is filled with something fun and worth exploring (count how many mini teapots are placed around the dacha), plus all of the small touches (Kay's homemade fermented sodas, the hand-built sauna, the small pool of fish), add to the warm and salt of earth hostel. One of my favorites ever, highly highly recommend!

Loved this sprawling relaxed got everything place. We’ll worth the short walk from town. Best curry so far in Thailand, table tennis, big garden.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in Thailand. Had the pleasure of doing a breath work and cold plunge class with Bill and I never thought possible what my brain can do just from breathing. A psychedelic experiment for sure, and yet so natural and so healthy feeling. Highly highly recommend the class - 1000 bhat for both

A Bikepacker's Review: I enjoyed my stay at Good Life Dacha and would recommend other bikepackers to consider it if you want a social resr day in town. If you are just looking for a quick and quiet sleep, there may be better options out there for you. Bicycle Security: 7/10 - I was able to leave my bicycle somewhere out of sight and undercover, but I'm not sure it was locked overnight. That's not much of an issue as the area is very safe. Bicycle Facilities (pump, tools): None available that I could see, however they may have a pump given the number of bikes around. My tire lost a lot of air the morning I left, so a floor pump would have been handy. Ease of Access on 28c Road Tires: 10/10 Very easy to access, just watch the drain covers if you are cycling on 23c tires. Safety of Nighttime Access: 10/10 Very easy to access. I had to ride back in the dark once without lights and the street lights were enough to get me home. Enables Early Sleeping Without Disturbances (quiet room, quiet guests after 9pm): 6/10 The guests in the neighboring room woke me up a couple of times in the night. The rooms shake a little when doors are closed, and I and another guest walked right into the clear glass sliding door at least once each. Enables Early Waking Without Disturbing Others: 7/10 No one complained, but then I left very early. Provides Early Breakfast: 7/10 They didn't provide an esrly cooked breakfast or a breakfast using leftovers from the night before that I could grab from the fridge which slowed my departure a little bit. Lots of Thai places in town open early, and some western food options are available from 7.30am. Good Life were able to sell me a couple of bananas to get me going Vegetarian/Vegan Friendly: They were happy to make any meals vegetarian. The Eggplant Stirfry, Kombucha and Pancakes were great. I didn't love the Pad Se Ew as much.

A place to call home! The most warm and welcoming owners, many activities, workshops and live shows, great food at the restaurant, and extremely interesting guests from all over the world. Located just near the park and playground, where the Saturday market takes place. We came for a couple of days and stayed three weeks!

This is the center of Pai's happenings. Everything happens here! A lovely place with a wonderful atmosphere, a good restaurant, the owners are charming and always willing to help and assist. There are activities of workshops, parties, ecstatic dance, meditation, ice bath. Every Saturday there is a large and colorful community market. It is a meeting place for the entire international community in Pai. A magical and recommended place!!

A little pricey for the ice bath and sauna, but staff are really nice. Sauna is cool, it’s very steamy and dark. Ice baths also nice to jump in and out of.

We really enjoyed our stay here, Kay and his wife made us very welcome and so did the ladies who work in the cafe and clean the rooms. The hostel is a 10 minute walk from town and has great mopeds to hire for 150THB with your passport as a deposit kept in a locked safe. The communal areas are a great place to meet other guests with comfy seats, lots of books, instruments to play and a water cooler. We made lots of friends here. There was also space to take yourself off for quiet contemplation and work time. There is slightly slow WiFi throughout the hostel. There's a cafe attached with an extensive menu and home-brewed kombucha, the service is a little slow but we enjoyed eating breakfast here. The communal bathrooms are kept clean and there is a breathwork business associated with the hostel allowing residents to use the sauna and ice bath for a small fee. Our room was comfortable, the AC dripped on our bed a little. There's a Saturday market outside the hostel serving delicious food with a great community feel, bringing tourists and locals together. We extended our stay and would stay here again.
