Pai In The Sky Hostel

Hostel

😠 I have nothing positive to say about this hostel other than it’s decent location. The owner is very controlling and has very strict (and ambiguous rules). The rooms are nice but expect to be woken up by construction, chickens, or both. People often mention nice, room, location, stay, staff, recommend,

A very nice hostel that was a bit quiet on the time I went (April). So not so good if you want to meet people, but I was upgraded to a better room (Bungalow) and felt like a king! Totally recommend for a chill out stay. Couples and families will enjoy it very much.

I stayed in Pai in the sky (dorm room) with my sister for a few days. It's a very nice place near the night market, but not too busy. The service is really great. The hostess is so nice and sweet, she didn't want us to do our own dishes! Also, they play lovely morning music during breakfast.

Really nice hostel. The dorms were clean and the staff was very friendly. They even offered to drive us to a post office with motorbikes when we wanted to send postcards. When we were there, there was nobody else but us in a 16-people dorm - I wonder why.

BED BUGS! Owners were very abusive towards me when I confronted them about the problem, even refusing to look at the photos and videos I had taken as proof and dismissing them entirely by telling me to delete them. They almost refused to refund me, but eventually did, and then screamed at me to get out. I should also mention how this place was COMPLETELY devoid of atmosphere - you could have more fun in a funeral parlour. There are hundreds of wonderful hostels to stay in Pai; Topp Paiway, Baan Mai Sak, Deejai etc. Do yourself a favour and stay at one of those places. Skip this one. This place is gross.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for around 10 days and cannot recommend them enough. Room and service was amazing, the owners were extremely accommodating and felt like home.

5 stars for value for money. Room was exactly as pictured and the staff are very nice. Unbeatable location, very quiet, very clean, comfy bed, hot shower, good wifi. Saw a couple of reviews complaining about the occasional bug in the room - if that's a problem for you, Thailand might not be your best vacation (please don't come to Australia either, we don't need whingers!). I'd stay here again for sure.

Very surprised that this is advertised in Google as a four star hotel, it is a hostel and three stars (at best). We stayed for two nights early on in our trip (mid-October). The staff were smiley and friendly but sometimes we had to wait a couple of minutes at the desk for someone to come out. The location is perfect, about 50m back from the main walking street and there is a 7/11 right there as well as the night market. The hostel itself did need a bit of refurbishment work, common areas are quite run down and don’t seem to be used a lot. We had a double private room with a bathroom (very small, the shower head was basically on top of the loo) and the room didn’t have any clothes storage (except for a chest of drawers which was blocked by a desk and also already stuffed with other peoples clothes). It was cheap but not as cheap as other hostels we’ve stayed in. The good factor is the location to amenities so that is probably what pushes the price up. Have heard from other travellers that there are definitely better spots around.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was nice. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were really helpful. We booked a great half day tour through them. One of the best things about staying here is that it's so close to the night markets/restaurants/7-11 but as its off the street its actually still really quiet at night time. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it!

Staff were lovely and location was great, however be carful when booking as the website made it out like our room had a/c but on arrival it only had a fan

Good location, decent size private rooms, but generally pretty run down facilities and room, eg; holes in roof allowed ghekos/bugs in. clean enough but bugs around. Nice staff but probably wouldn’t say again.

Had an amazing time here! Owned by a wonderful couple. In for a chat and a laugh. I could leave my bag for a few days when I went on a short road trip. Very nice clean rooms. Will stay here again or arrive friends to stay.

Stayed April 2023. We loved this place. Amazing location but quiet and couldn’t hear bars. Lovely staff. Clean, comfortable with AC (private room). Cheap, we can’t fault it. We extended our stay. Perfect for young backpacking couples like us :)

Private room was cheap and cheerful. Dorms have no AC and not so much of a social vibe as nobidy really uses the common space. Beds have curtains which is a big plus for privacy

Our room had bad noise isolation and a bit of mold smell, but other than that it was perfect and the woman who worked there was very nice and accommodating

Very very run down. The toilet keeps making noise which is super annoying… walls are very thin so you can hear everything. Very close to the main strip so it’s not very peaceful. You can hear loud music from the bars. The shower is no water pressure at all. I mean if you’re looking for something that is meh and cheap then go for it. I’m just not a fan myself.

Veeeery nice people at the reception. Absolutely uncomplicated. Rooms are just fine. Hostel is in the best spot in town. Can absolutely recommend to go there. Thanks for everything

Great quiet spot on the walking street. Owners are extremely kind and accommodating. Stayed here for over 2 weeks! Definitely recommend if you’re looking to relax and get some sleep.

Solid place to sleep. No air conditioning and the power went out at one point but everything was quaint and well done. Very central location as well which was nice
