UP2U Guesthouse

Lodge β€’ Youth hostel

πŸ‘πŸ‘ One of the best hostels I've ever been to! Such a beautiful space with lots of attention to detail. Rustic, wooden and traditional - this place was heaven for us! They had breakfast included - which for us was bottomless pineapple and watermelon slices. Sadly the bread they were using for toast... People often mention hostel, river, stay, nice, breakfast, beautiful, great, chill, stayed, good,

This is an awesome place to stay, the aesthetic is very cool, the owners are super sweet and accommodating. It is a much needed break from many of the noisy party hostels all over, it is very relaxed and quiet, great for a real night's sleep.

LOVED this guesthouse. The most peaceful, beautiful setting for such a cheap price. You really feel at one with nature in this hostel, especially when relaxing on the bamboo balcony over the river. Breakfast was also included in the cheap price :)

I felt love this homestay. This homestay bigger than I thought. There are chairs and beds near the river. You can chill in the afternoon in here. There isn’t air conditioner in the room. But that not big deal. The price is good. Only 180 for dorm bed but included breakfast. Highly recommend for this accommodation.

My favourite place to stay in all of Thailand, even after 6 months of traveling here it still stands out in my mind! The building is beautiful, the little river side space is so peaceful and this place attracts beautiful souls! The staff are nothing but lovely and helpful, the breakfast in the morning is yummy and I can't recommend staying here enough. The beds are a little firm but honestly you get used to it and it's no big deal. Not a party hostel but an amazing and calm space that has a way of making you stay way longer then you planned

One of the best hostels I've ever been to! Such a beautiful space with lots of attention to detail. Rustic, wooden and traditional - this place was heaven for us! They had breakfast included - which for us was bottomless pineapple and watermelon slices. Sadly the bread they were using for toast was made with sugar and milk - and for us Europeans that feels more like cake. No AC - but we had a fan in our room and it wasn't hot in October. Will be back again!

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in, hands down the best hostel in Pai, location is a 7min walk into town. The hostel almost feels like a bit treehouse. Very rustic feels and great hangout areas, you could spend days hanging out there just lounging. Staff are very kind and helpful, the breakfast is just toast and fruit but it's more than enough.

Can’t recommend enough - must have told every backpacker I’ve came across heading to Pai that it is imperative they book here. Perfect place to chill, journal, take in the views, play badminton in the garden, yoga in the morning by the river, swimming - list is endless! They also do great included breakfast of fresh fruit and toast and they have a coffee shop attached to the building!! Perfect stay

BED BUGS!!!! Stay here if you want no AC , no privacy and bed bugs! I then received a very rude text from the host, who proceeded to tell me about how she has been bitten many times and told me she is tired talking about it, even though this is the first time I mentioned it. I am covered head to toe in bites! Avoid at all costs and stay elsewhere!

One of the best hostel I’ve ever been to. The place is so chill and the staff nice. The rooms are beautiful and in bamboo, so the problem is that you hear everything. But overall it’s great and I wish to go back there !

A very cool hostel made of bambo. It really feels like you are sleeping in the jungle. It was a little outside of my comfort zone as there are a lot of insects and the rooms are not sealed off from the nearby nature. Lots of bugs come out attracted to the light and as our dorm door only closes from the outside (not the inside) it would swing open in the night so bugs can come in. It would be nice for the rooms to actually lock/have a key. This is the only accomodation in Thailand I have stayed without A/C (I was aware when we booked it) and it was ok some nights. Other nights I was sweating with just a fan between several beds. It would be nice for maybe have a fan on each bed or maybe more powerful fans. The bamboo beds are very loud and creak every time you move and there is quite a bit of noise from traffic on the street. I did manage to sleep with ear plugs. The location is very good and the hostel can sort out tipsy tubing or moped rentals for you very easily. The chill out areas were super nice overlooking the river and mountains with hammocks. There was also a cool fire pit although I am not sure it was in use. Overall I recommend this place if you are a laid back person that doesn't mind not having certain comforts and doesn't mind insects too much.

Lovely wholesome hostel! It was so cute! And fairly quite! The breakfast was jam, toast and fruit - basic but good! It was very chill - lots of people doing yoga and meditation! Very pretty chill out areas! Only a 10 min walk into the main town!

I’ve stayed here two nights and it was incredible. Really nice place, beautiful, close to the river and the main street. Also has a lot of facilities like to rent a scooter or to book the bus to Chiang Mai.

This place was so zen!! We stayed in both the 3 person dorm and the private room and both were nice. Can’t beat this for the price. The shared bathrooms were clean and totally outdoors. This hostel is definitely rugged and one with nature. Due to this, there are definitely mosquitos but each bed gets a net and you just need the 7/11 mosquito lotion and you’re good. Breakfast included lots of fruit and toast. It was so good and fresh and free! We stayed during burning season and it was still beautiful.

Can’t have any complaints! 200 for a bed with water and simple breakfast, and the most important is the natural view worth much more than tha price itself. The public area is the ideal way to tan my skin while reading my books! I thought 7 days were enough for this stay in Pai but with this place as my accommodation I could stay 30 days. This place was stunning as soon as I woke up in the morning! Love it!

The best authentic guesthouse I've stayed in Pai, the staff are very friendly, beautiful view, they have a garden along side the river and a big common and chilling space. I stayed in the dormitory, wooden beds with mosquito nets, very recommended

A beautiful hostel set in dark wood. The Pai River flows right behind the hostel. You can spend time by the river, watching birds or in a hammock, up in the open area. The dorms are very affordable and quite nice. The toilets are clean. They provide snacks like tea/coffee bread butter in the mornings. The hosts are wonderful. Very soft spoken! Most Thai people are softspoken. Even the location of the hostel is perfect for someone who just wants to drop out of the commotion of Central Pai, but still want to be within 2 kms of the centre. The hostel is made of wood. Therefore, sound travels there. Footsteps, creaking of the wood, when moving about in the bed, roomates moving about in the room, the neighbour's 5 am πŸ“ doing his thing. Vehicles passing by on the main street into Pai... I'm Indian, so I was fine with all sounds except the πŸ“. Really hoped that it could have been somebody's dinner. All in all, great place. Enjoyed my stay here. And made 2 good friends. ✌🏼 2-3 days at UP2U is a calming experience.

Amazing vibe! Great place to meet people and hang out, chilling zone is very nice, beer is kinda cheap, staff really nice, free yoga classes and the walking street is a bit far but at walking distance

Little bit out the way but only 10 min walk into the heart of it. Rooms were cute and the view to the river was lovely! Felt it could of been a little cleaner but it did the job for our 2 days in Pai!

If you like to sleep well, it's not the best place because of the noise, but the atmosphere is great. Location is really good and the service is perfect. The breakfast is included and delicious!

I stayed in a bungalow next to the river. Simple and lovely. Lots and lots of chill space. Amazing vibe for solo travelers. Not a party hostel but very social. The best staff in the world! They helped me to organise my motorbike on day one. Simple and nice breakfast. Good facilities. Book in advance, it is super popular!

Absolutely loved my stay here. The location is perfect with an amazing view of the river and the mountains, staff is great, pretty close but not too close to the night market Street. The guest here are super chill and down to earth people. If you are in Pai and you want a peace of mind come and stay here you will love it. The only thing that would be better if they had breakfast available otherwise super happy with my stay.

Such a lovely hostel. I originally booked for 3 days and ended up staying for 9. The views and being right next to the river makes this place a must stay. It is a very relaxed and chill hostel. It is quite cold at night but the blankets work great.

I'm giving 4 stars because the owner is so kind and even gave my friend a gift for her birthday while we stayed there. The outside area is lovely and being by the river was great. Free water and instant coffee available and a big beautiful and friendly dog stays there. The cons are no pillow case given and the beds are hard and creaky (in the dorm.)
