My friend and I went there by foot on a rainy afternoon, we were the only ones there and could fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery found up there by ourselves. Please remember to dress modestly when going there! The walk up the white stairs really isn’t hard, we took them two by two as to divide the amount of steps by half. If you also go there by foot, the stairs that lead to the white ones take actually much more energy to climb. Also, be ready for your legs to shake after going all the way back down

Beautiful white Buddha and steps can be seen from Pai on the mountain. Best place for sunset and 180 view of Pai. If you like less crowded, early morning and daytime would be nice. Please pay respect by dressing properly ( long skirt and cover shoulder) and take off shoes on the top

A magnificent place! The Buddha is a bit broken, but still beautiful. At the bottom of the stairs there’s to beautiful lion statues. The stairs themselves if beautiful with decorations. At the top you have a great view of both nature and Pai city. Such a calm atmosphere 🙏🏼

If you like Big Budha temples, go and visit this one too. Are there more amazing ones in Thailand? Yes. But its very close to town so definitely worth to take a look. The air was too smokey early in the morning so it might be better to go there around sunset so you might see some city view.

Went here during sunset and sunrise. Would highly recommend coming during sunset, it was super great! We stayed for 2 hours. There were many dogs on the street to Big Buddha, so beware! I think they are harmless, but in the morning there were more than 20 dogs barking at me during my morning jog so it was a bit scary. In the evening there were a few dogs.

I walked here from Pai city centre which took about 40 minutes. The road is clear and sometimes you will need to walk on the same road as motorbikes. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared! I was sweating by the time I got to the top. The view of the Buddha is amazing and the view of the city is wonderful. I arrived 10 mins late for the sunset, so I would advise arriving early to give yourself time on those steps. Also, try and leave straight after sunset as it gets dark pretty quick.

Gotta go for at least one sunset. Get there early because everyone sits on the steps and large groups take up a lot of space. Amazing view of the mountains!

Great place for sunsets and view of the town. There are a few hundred steps to take or more if you are up for the challenge and want to start lower. The signs state that closing time is 6 PM and requests to have left by then, but gates were not closed and no one really seemed to care.

Alot of steps, A little hard in the heat at the end of the day but a good spot to see Pai and the sun set. Went with friends in the evening when it was really quiet. I would recommend this

Beautiful, but so many tourists go there just to take pictures for Instagram. Maybe hehe.

I recommend to go to the big buddha just before they close (18:00) so that you can enjoy the superbe view with the sunset. You can walk to the buddha from Pai, it will take around 30 min but prepare to sweat a lot walking up the stairs. Just before the final set of stairs you can find a small store where you can get ice cream or drinks, which comes in handy if the day is hot.

What a beautiful temple! Worth it to spend some time here with a book and enjoy the views. Some shade available to hide from the hot sun. Bringing m some water is recommended, too. Parking is free.

Get there early in the morning before the crowds and strong sun and climb the 300 steps to the big bhudda for amazing views over Pai. It’s a quiet and serene place for contemplation. Don’t miss this when you are in Pai.

Big Buddha statue with scenic view over surrounding. No entrance fee and easily accessible. Although nice to look at for a few minute and take in the view it’s nothing spectacular or really memorable. Most people come as part of a half or full day trip.

Beautiful climb to see the scenic view of pai. Beautiful trail to begin the upwards. You can take the vehicle to the up too. The climb to the statue can be sunny and it's hot on the top.

I got there around 6 am for the sunrise and there was nobody there. You get the place for yourself and an incredible view on the city. Also at that time you can hear the monks reciting their morning puja and it's extremly beautiful to hear 😇 I forgot to say there is no entrance for it just be prepared to climb some stairs

After a walk up the stairs to the buddha, you also have a pretty view over Pai ☀️

Beautiful big Buddha growing seemingly out of the lush mountainside. Check the greenery growing out of the Buddha’s fingers. Please dress appropriately and take your shoes off at the top 🔝
