Sheosar Lake: Sheosar Lake is situated in Deosai plains. Near Chillam Chowki Astore Gilgit Balistan. There are two route to reach here one from Skardu (relatively Lengthy path) another one from Astore its jeep track 4*4 but I have seen and other cars on DeoSai like Mehran Crolla and Civic. Shosar lake is one of the most beautiful, clean and stunning lake with mesmerising view. There are two Camp hotels available in till Aug 2021 for both side (Astore, Skardu) for night stay.one can enjoy the heart shape view of this beautiful lake from nearby surrounded mountain. Highly recommended for multiple times due to Deosai plain unique attractive and mind-blowing landscape. Furth more one can enjoyed the Brra pani and Kala Pani Point with tea and pakoras. Remarkably during my last visit in Aug-2021 they were also installing the SCOM internet on barra Pani.

Sheosar Lake is situated in Deosai plains. ▪︎ Sheosar Lake means 'Blind Lake' in Shina language, as  Sheo means 'Andhi' (Blind) and Sar means 'Lake. ▪︎It is at the height of 4,142 metres (13,589 ft) from sea level. Its max length of 2.3 kms and width of 1.8 kmx with average depth of 40 metres (130 ft). ▪︎  The lake is accessible through two routes. One is via Skardu and the other is via Astore District. ▪︎ Its distance from Skardu is around and takes around 4-5 hours to reach here. ▪︎ However from Astore is at a distance of.. and takes around 4 hours to reach Sheosar Lake; Chellem is the nearest inhabited area. ▪︎ All those travelling through Deosai Plains pass nearby Sheosar Lake therefore no additional effort is required to reach it.

It's a really true piece of heaven. One of the most beautiful lake in the world. The track is rough but worth it. Ice cold water in summers also. Beautiful meadows around, Its a great place to spent a day. A suggestion Be aware of mosquitoes, in rainy season, use mosquitos repellents.
