"Kutwal lake" is a high altitude lake located in haramosh valley of Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan. You have to drive for an hour on KKH from Gilgit city and then turn on to skardu road. If you are comming from Islamabad side you need not to go to Gilgit City, simply turn to skardu road. Upon reaching Village "Sassi" which will take 30 mins, you will have to redirect your route to a rough jeep road which will take to to village "Dachee" or "Dasso", and if you are planning to go on bikes make sure 1 bike 1 person with every repair tool . The jeep road ends in village "Dachee" and you will have to trek on foot from there . Trekking level is moderate and will take no less than 6 hours to reach to the lake, but it is best that you should camp somewhere between "Dachee" and kutwal lake. Don't rely on the weather forecast, mountains Don't follow science. You will have a close view of "Haramosh peak" along the route and "Laila peak".Duration of trip should be 4 to 5 days . Kutwal Lake was a strenuous 8hr15min hike but the lake is absolutely beautiful after 2PM when it gives a shining light blue colour, if you visit earlier in the day the colour of the water will be darker!

Kutwal Lake - Haramosh Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan 🇵🇰💚🚣‍♂️🏊‍♀️⛰️💦👏 While plenty of lakes in Pakistan boast blue waters and mountainous backdrops, Kutwal Lake stands out for the trees lining its shores. The fairy-tale lake of “Kutwal” is located in Haramosh Valley of Gilgit District in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. Sits at an elevation of 3100 m, the emerald coloured lake is framed by the gigantic peaks of Haramosh 7409 m, Dobani at 6143 m and Laila at 6985 meters. The setting creates a dreamlike sight that is truly difficult to describe with words! The stunningly beautiful valley of Haramosh lies about 65 km east of Gilgit (500 km from Islamabad) in the south-central region of the Rakaposhi-Haramosh Mountains, a sub range of the mighty Karakorams. Its unspoiled natural beauty really is a sight to see. #KutwalLake #Beautyofpakistan #sceniclakes #HaramoshValley #gilgitbaltistan #KUTWAL
