Hund
is
a
small
village
on
the
bank
of
the
Indus.
Having
a
rich
heritage
and
historical
importance,
there
is
still
some
remains
of
an
ancient
forte
are
visible.
The
area
have
a
great
link
to
the
Gandhara
civilization
more
than
four
thousand
years
ago.
The
Afghans,Turks,
Mughals
used
it
as
a
passage
to
India.
It
was
the
third
centre
of
learning
at
Ashok
times.
In
1992
it
had
a
large
number
of
the
Budha's
trees(Barr
and
peepal
in
local
dialect).
It
is
supposed
that
hund
may
be
the
birth
place
of
the
Budha.
It
had
a
lot
number
of
Persian
wheels.
Some
still
be
seen.
The
museum
is
and
the
river
resort
are
still
the
great
attractions
of
the
place.
The
remains
of
a
great
number
of
tombs
were
found
in
1994
now
converted
into
fields
were
also
a
sign
of
great
warships
and
fighting.
The
tomb
of
Abdul
Rahim
Khan
e
Khanan
is
situated
here
although
it
is
still
to
be
verified
because
the
relating
the
same
are
also
found
in
India.
An
historical
story
of
the
Wazer
Fateh
Khan
of
the
Afghanistan
is
also
related
to
Hund.
The
story
of
Balkay
and
Kadri
is
also
related
to
this
place.
...With
best
wishes

Sattar
