Mahodand
lake
is
one
of
the
main
attractions
in
kalam.
It's
about
2.5
hrs
jeep
ride
which
takes
quite
a
toll
on
your
body.
You
can
do
horse
riding
and
boating
there.
Do
compare
prices
before
you
book
one.
Food
and
beverages
are
available
there
but
limited
options.
As
i
told
you
It
is
located
about
2.5
hours
jeep
drive
from
Kalam.
You
have
to
hire
jeep
from
Kalam
Bazar
and
start
early
like
7:00
am
to
enjoy
this
place.
There
is
a
centeral
island
forest
surronded
by
the
lake.
There
are
motor
boats
available
for
the
ride
at
a
very
reasonable
rate.
The
food
quality
is
not
good
there
so
better
to
bring
your
own
eatables.
The
influx
of
large
number
of
visitors
have
desteroyed
its
beauty.There
is
so
much
deforstation
all
around.
The
indian
wash
rooms
are
available
but
mostly
on
payment.
The
best
plan
to
visit
here
is
to
reach
at
9:30
am
,
take
a
boat
ride
and
spend
some
time
in
the
island
and
then
travel
to
the
nearby
Saifaullah
lake
which
is
about
10-15
minutes
drive
from
there
and
a
worth
place
to
spend
more
tome.
There
is
a
beautiful
waterfall
there
also.
Just
5km
further
there
is
an
other
lake
Saif
ullah
lake.
Nice
place
to
spend
some
time.
