Highly recommended & also do camping there just go by evening to Dawarian & park your vehicle there , take ride on jeep, it will take 2.5 hrs to reach at base camp, stay night at base camp, wake up early morning around 5:30 & go to the jheel by horse ride or on feet. Witness sunrise there & you will never regret this amazing adventure. Jeep cost around 8-11K Camp cost around 2k-3K (4,5 persons) Breakfast & dinner also served by the camp owners ( extra charges)

Beautiful lake at altitude of more than 12000 feet surrounded by unparallel beauty of nature. A must visit place. However track from dawarian to Lake base camp is extremely difficult and accessible only by 4×4 jeep. From base camp you can reach lake either by hiking or by booking horse ride.

It usually takes 45 minutes to reach Ratti Gali from Base Camp. There are comfortable arrangments for night stay at base camp. You can easily go towards lake by yourself or rent horse from locals. You have to rent jeep in order to reach base camp. No chance of inconvenience at any point!

Beside all tough weather conditions, heavy rain and extremely wet and muddy track, it felt like worlds reaching at the lake!!! totally worth it! what a mesmerizing sight to call it a trip of life time..it was very cloudy, rainy and cold. but went sunny after some time and again cloudy. So we had all of'em weather conditions 🙂

Ratti Gali Lake is an extremely beautiful lake on the ground that resembles a glimpse of paradise. Even though the path to reach it is very risky, once you arrive at the lake, all the exhaustion from the journey not only disappears but also the person gets lost in the enchanting views of the lake. Velvety green grass, pink and red flowers covered in snow on the surrounding mountains, the changing cold weather, all allure the heart. I highly recommend experiencing this at least once in a lifetime.

It's my first Kashmir's traveling experience.. This is very beautiful place and 18 km jeep track is very difficult track but it's full of adventure after 2 km hiking track is also amazing...

One of the best place in Kashmir. But the road is known as most dangerous road in the world. Now talk about Season, mostly rati gali lake open in end of june to end of September. The length of Rati Gali road is 16 km (cheap track) and 2Km hicking track. Mostly 1:30-3:00 hour require to reach on Rati Gali base camp. #Cheep price: If your are more than 4 people you have to book a cheep, in season time cheep price is so high (6000-10000) If you are two people than look for local cheep ,you can easily afford in 2000. #Is it safe for kids? No i Didn't not recommend to take your kids(2-4 years) there ,its very risky #Can we stay night there'? Yes you can stay night at Base camp. Local resident offer camps there,you can easily get in Rs1500-2000 per night with all facilities (except food). #Are horses available on hicking track? Yes ! If you have no interest in hiking, you can hire a horse there in just Rs400-500 single side . #How much time we can spend on ratti Gali lake? Ratti gali lake is at 14000+ height ,so quite Cold in August September. You can only stay 2-3 hour maximum. Very enjoyable and beautiful lake. #What is the cost of food at Ratti Gali Base camp? Food price is so high there. Still any other question,feel free to ask?

After 3hour jeep ride to the base camp its better if start hiking up to the lake at around 3pm and I suggest to take a horse while going up and trek while coming down

Lake itself is pretty but the jeep track is extremely poor and tbh painful! It was a torture those 2.5 hours with extremely bumpy ride

Heaven on earth, exclusive place to visit and enjoy. Best time to visit would be early spring when all the snow melts down and the nature rejuvenate back with full swing of colors. Ice lurking through the mountain peaks and natural water springs making there way to the lake. You need to hike from the base camp which usually for a healthy individual requires 1 hour.

When i visited this lake back in 2016. Everything was so raw and beautiful. But ofcourse with time, lots of tourists started visited and i did not get that vibe. I have seen many places in Kashmir . But ratti gali was the best . There are also many other lakes in that area but u can't reach there without proper hiking equipment . Its basecamp has better facilities than other lakes .

Very beautiful worth seeing place. A panoramic view is waiting when you reach there after tiresome journey. An important conclusion of my experience that anybody must must have make it sure that jeeps are approaching directly to the base camp. Sometime jeeps start from dwarian and drops 6 km away from base camp. This 6 km hiking/walk ruin the whole trip.

Amazing place we reached at ratti Gali track on April 18 2023 . The lake was fully frozen and tracks of ratti galli were closed. We got camping on riverside. We fully enjoyed.

Although this place has limited facilities yet it's natural beauty deserves to be visited.
