I would like to share my impressions of my stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing, and I was unsatisfied with several aspects. Firstly, the condition of the hotel was dreadful. No repairs had been made, and the air had an unpleasant odor. The bedding was old and damp, and it seemed like the bed hadn't been changed since the hotel's opening. There was no soundproofing, making it impossible to sleep peacefully due to the noise from the street. Secondly, the breakfast was unsatisfactory. I paid for it, but received unappetizing food. I was particularly disappointed that I had to pay extra for poorly cooked eggs. This does not meet the standards of service quality. Considering the aforementioned issues, I believe your hotel deserves a maximum of two stars. Additionally, the photos presented in the hotel description do not reflect the actual state of things, further adding to the disappointment of guests. I hope you will take these comments into account and take the necessary measures to improve the quality of service and the conditions of stay at your hotel.

Great location, but this grand hotel is past its prime. It has much of its majestic poise, but it is starting to show its age a little too much in some areas. Stay here if you're sentimental about the days gone by, or if you're into older architecture, but you're going to be left wanting if your thought was to book a modern hotel. It is relatively clean, and the buffet breakfast served on the top floor is more than adequate.

A real oasis of calm in a busy and hectic city - rooms a little bit old fashioned, but beautiful bathrooms and excellent shower. The bar was rather nice and the barman knowledgeable about Sicilian wines. Breakfast was good in a pleasent space. All in all a great experience!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in October for our honeymoon and the stay was excellent. Literally zero complaints. I’d like to thank the gentleman at the front desk for providing us with three fantastic recommendations for dinner. We went to each place he recommended and the food was amazing each time. The best part, other than the accommodations and service, was the breakfast spread. Not only was the food amazing, but the cafe Americano was possibly the best I’ve ever had. I’d love it if someone at the hotel could tell me what kind of cafe Americano you serve for breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel, this hotel has the nicest staff I have ever encountered from the amazingly talented bar tender Davide who makes a great French 75 to Alyce who made me feel welcome . I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Palermo, and I will definitely be returning here .

GREAT HOTEL. This is a beautiful hotel centrally located in the heart of Palermo. I stayed there from August 14 until the 20th of this year. Let me start by saying that the staff is extremely professional and helpful. Especially the server at breakfast, Davide who received us every morning with a smile and went out of his way to ensure we had a great time. The breakfast was great and delicious. We parked the car there and they would always be very prompt in bringing it upon request. I’d definitely stay there again. Thank you again for your hospitality.

Let’s start with the positives. Breakfast. Great. The male waiter whose name I didn’t catch was superb, attentive, personal and tried his best to make sure you had everything. Rooms. A bit tired. If you’re in your senior years and want to reminisce about how hotel used to be, you’ll love it :) Entrance. Tired. Carpet dirty. Dark gloomy feel and lost it’s pizzazz! Needs that spark of light bringing back. Location. Pretty good. Felt safe and close to bars/restaurants. Overall, it’s a high 3, average 4 star hotel with a 5 star badge. Def not on a par with The Ritz or Dorchester. 2 nights, normal room, breakfast included, parking. €406

A hotel with an old world charm. It definitely has character, the service is friendly and kind, it offers a generous breakfast buffet and it’s in a great location, but it lacks some amenities that are common in true 5 star establishments (no lobby bar or hotel restaurant, none of the spa facilities are complimentary, no night time turndown service, no luxury toiletries, no personal waiters during breakfast etc). The hotel is clean and well maintained and the room service food is excellent!

We had a very lovely stay in the Grand Hotel Wagner. The highlights were the beds, that were very comfortable and the impeccable service from the staff. The only faults were that the rooms or electrics were pretty old and the noise level. I could not use an iron as it kept shorting the electrics in the room. The streets at night were pretty loud and had to put earplugs in.

I thought this hotel was pretty good. It was comfortable, and was in a good location in Palermo. The room was adequate size, and the beds were comfortable. I thought the service was good. The bar downstairs was a nice place to have a drink after a long day exploring.

Really great stay we had from day one until we checked out. The hotel’s details are amazing, the lobby area is fab, all of the hotel staff are warm and highly professional. Breakfast has a plenty of options to choose from. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend this this.

We had a wonderful room, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It has an old-world charm. The bar was a nice way to end our evenings. The location is great. The towels could be softer. We enjoyed the breakfast!

Very nice classic hotel in a great location, with even better staff! We stayed here for three nights in February 2023 and paid about €150 per night which included breakfast. The hotel is extremely refined, in an old school sort of way with elegant decorations, on all the walls, doors and ceilings. The bathrooms are extremely modern and comfortable, even though the shower stall was a bit smaller then I would have expected for a five star property. The room was not huge, but adequate and very comfortable and the bed was also reasonably soft, which is not something you get from a lot of hotels in Italy. We slept great! The breakfast was very good with some of the best coffee that I’ve had on this two week trip. The staff was over the top, exceptional, from the front desk people to the bellman, but the best ones were Fernando, the bartender, and Alice the waitress. We met them on our first night, and we saw them every day, and they never ceased to be wonderfully helpful and pleasant. They definitely enjoy their jobs in hospitality, and it shows. The one complaint I had was the Wi-Fi was not as fast as it should have been for a five-star hotel, and you have to login each time with a new password, since the Wi-Fi is sourced from the TV in your room… Kind of a weird set up that I haven’t experienced before. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely return to this property when I visit Palermo again in the future.

Grand Hotel Wagner needs to drop the Grand from its name, there is nothing grand about this hotel, perhaps it was special in the 1950s but this hotel just gives outdated creepy Bridgerton vibes. We had booked for 4 nights, we stayed our 1st night & asked for our money back for the rest of our stay. The rooms smell like smoke, the drains smell & the rooms with the decor & furnishings are creepy & feel haunted. The staff at front desk are unhelpful & rude. We did not enjoy this hotel at all & would not recommend. It needs a HUGE makeover, very confused how this is a five star hotel.

Recently returned from a two week stay at the Grand Hotel Wagner. Everything was wonderful! Excellent location for walking to many of the highlights of Palermo. Lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel staff was exceptional! Especially Wimm and Roberto at the front desk and Davide, Mohsin and Alisia in the breakfast dining room. The service and breakfast foods could not have been any better! Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and clean. Valet parking was very convenient. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

This was a truly memorable stay. The staff - their kindness and patience - were really superb. The room was beautiful. The hotel is beautiful. We recall especially members of the staff Davide, Giovanni, Muhsin, and Alide at the desk. They were all highly professional and a pleasure to speak with about Palermo.

Extremely disappointed with our stay. > We had a room on the ground floor were kept up in the night by mosquitoes (although we did not open any window) and by the noise from neighboring rooms and the lobby. > The breakfast was very disappointing, poor quality of food overall and the coffee tasted reheated. There were ants in the maple syrup. > We did not feel welcome, when I walked to the reception to ask for the wifi password (which was not in the room), I felt like I was annoying the staff. When I voiced my disappointment during check-out, the only answer was "yes I have mosquitoes in my home too"... Not what you would expect from a 5* hotel. > The shower was small and leaked onto the floor of the bathroom. >> Our impression is that this is an overpriced tourist trap, we regret staying there and we are sure there are better, cheaper (we paid 190€ for a night!!!) and more authentic places to stay in Palermo.

The perfect hotel for your stay in Palermo. The location is great, between "downtown" and the historic district. You can walk everywhere. The room was lovely with a super comfortable bed, completely quiet, black out curtains, upscale bathroom with plenty of hot water and balcony. The breakfast is on the 4th floor, with an amazing selection of food plus an airy outdoor space. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful, going above and beyond, especially Wim! If we ever return to Palermo, we will definitely be staying at Hotel Grand Wagner.

A beautiful old classic building with its rich culture and reputation. It is a heritage establishment with its best location to many restaurants and bar. It is within easy walking distance to Massamo Theatre. Its breakfast is recommended.

We stayed for 8 nights in his hotel. The service was good. But our stay was made great by the service at the reception. Alida, which I hope is her name, she helped us with every request we had, and as foreign travelers we had alot of requests. She and her professionalim was a gift and made our stay in Palermo great!

Stayed here last week and the hotel was very clean, comfortable, centrally located and we had an overall enjoyable stay here. Alida was the best, super friendly, happy, professional and courteous. She was helpful with dining recommendations and every one of them was great. She put the whole experience right over the top. She loves her job and it shows. Hotel Wagner is lucky to have her. I usually don’t leave reviews but felt we should just to recognize the great service we received from Alida and all the rest of the staff at the Wagner. Thank you! A++++

This place is not tired at all! I read some reviews that put me off... Very well kept and very comfortable. The staff were all super friendly. We arrived really tired and early and as the room was ready they checked us in. I'd stay again. Classic old skool 5 star hotel and very well kept.

We were in a panic. We needed Covid tests to return to Rome. Upon the recommendation of the front desk we went to a Pharmacy just 3 blocks away. We got the test, (never an enjoyable experience), and were given a piece of paper saying the results would be emailed within 4 hours. I was getting nervous at hour 4. So nervous that I couldn't sleep at night as we had a 9:30 a.m. flight and the Pharmacy does not open until 8:30. At 6:00 a.m. I stumbled to the front desk asking for help. No fault at all on the hotel's part, but we had a communication problem. I'm in Italy and don't speak Italian. The night person spoke passable English, but not enough for me to clearly explain the concern. He said, "at 7:00 am the morning person will be able to help" The clock is ticking and I am thinking there is no way this can work out ... I'll have to change the flight ... if I can. At 6:58 a.m. I spoke with Roberto, explained the problem which he fully understood, and promised to call the Pharmacy promptly when it opened. We head to the airport not knowing whether we would catch the flight or not. At 8:15 Roberto called saying, "check your email" There was our green pass. He had handled this perfectly. We boarded the flight and I am writing this from Rome. Oh, and by the way, the room was great as was the location and the restaurant recommendation was exactly what we were looking.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Wagner over a wedding weekend, the building reflects the romantic and historical side of Palermo. Room are nicely equipped and plenty of comforts. What closed the deal for me was the variety for breakfast and wonderful service of the two ladies cheering up your day. Will definitely return.
