Our hunt for a thick hot chocolate ended here. Its a very beautiful Cafe, and due to its popularity it's crowded and there was a waiting line when we arrived, and most of the items in the menu were not available. We got what we came for, the thick chocolate and it was really good. The Mallorca special enseimada went well with the hot chocolate and the sponge was cake was toooo spongey and fluffy.

We were on a tour stop from Virgin Voyages Cruise in Mallorca. The pastry was light, flaky, and delicious. I did not have the real chocolate hot chocolate but others did and said it was rich and sweet. I had the homemade almond ice cream which was tasty as well.

The worst „artisan gelato” I’ve ever eaten. Really not sure why this place has such a good reviews. Staff was kinda rude, ice creams were just a water frozen with some flavors, and it’s definitely not an ice cream nor gelato. Texture was more like a sorbet even though we took vanilla and cafe cream, really the worst I’ve ever eaten. Additionally in WC there was no toilet paper, no hand soap nor paper towels. Really terrible experience.

Omg, this is the best ice cream ever!!! I really recommend you to get as many flavours as possible to enjoy this masterpiece! My favourite ones are strawberry and almond ice creams. The taste is divinely natural and soft. The service is also very good! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

As others have mentioned, it's a very beautiful old cafe. We enjoyed the ensaimada dipped in hot chocolate as recommended by our waiter. Service was good and friendly.

Lovely selection of pastries and drinks in a traditional setting. Try the ensaimada and horchata! They are all served as is; not warmed.

Such a charming place, with excellent service and delicious desserts. Definitely recommend getting the thick hot chocolate and their classic.

We love this place... it's like a British tearoom with a Spanish feel. We've been here three times now, and we intend to make it a family tradition to visit at least once every time we come to Majorca. I love the apricot ensaimada pastry and my husband the apple and custard ensaimada... but there is a lot of choice. I also like having a proper cup of tea with milk, while my husband loves the hot, thick drinking chocolate. A real treat but be warned... it's off the beaten track and can be hard to find!

What a historic place! Very worth a visit here! I had the typical ensaimada and hot chocolate, and the cava ice cream! Loved the ice cream which was a nice combination with the ensaimada! Very friendly staffs here as well!

We really liked this café in the old town of Palma. You can literally feel the tradition and authenticity of this beautiful place. So it's worth a visit just for the atmoshpere. The food and drinks are very good and the prices are more than fair. Clear recommendation.

Everyone reccomends ensaimada in the reviews so that was our first pick. The regular one was really good, the one with custard was ok (very similar to polish “Drożdżówka z budyniem"). Espresso was good, cappuccino was lacking a proper cream layer. Almond ice cream tastes good but it’s very ice-ish, I guess it’s better on a hot day. Quite atmospheric place, very very quick and nice service. You pay by the bar whenever you want which I like. I suggest getting an espresso and ensaimada without toppings.

Normal coffee, traditional pastry ensaimada with custard cream didn’t taste amazing to me, just good snack. Their famous almond ice cream was good and very sweet.

The old-fashioned style makes this place so cute and magic. Menu contains a broad choic of traditional sweets and ice creams which taste amaizing. They are quit different from other sweets from Europe so not everyone must like it. Waiters are really nice and helpful if you are not able to choose something especially for you. From my perspective I really recomend cappucino from coffees. :)

As part of an organised tour our coach party visited this establishment & we were pleasantly surprised. As part of the cost of the tour we had a pastry & a pot of ice cream which were both tasty.

Nice place to get empanadas and hot chocolate. The almond horchata was nice and refreshing too! The ambience is great too, a classic traditional setting with air conditioning.

Lovely place. Enjoyed the art nouveau interiors and the Mallorcan ensaimada! It's very different from how ensaymada is done where I'm from (the Philippines). Hot chocolate was good too! Had these with a side of whipped cream 😋

On the waiter's recommendation, I chose the simplest version of the cake. The cake was insane - extremely velvety, sweet just right (paired with bitter espresso). An old-fashioned style place - you can move back in time. Heavily hidden in the streets, which gives an extra charm.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of old town. Make your way down the side streets to find this place. It’s one of the oldest operating buildings in the town. Starting from the 1700s it’s still has the original flooring and some of the artifacts. Very friendly staff and easy to read menus in many languages. They are known for their hot chocolate which is thick and very rich. The pastries are large sized. Be careful not to order too many or you will have to carry away. Highly recommend visiting this shop at least once if you can or several times if you wish.

So glad that I found this cafe! I did research and this cafe has opened since 1700, definitely worth a visit if you go to Mallorca. We ordered the original ensaimada (the staff told us there were lots of flavour but he recommended to try the original one so we did!). I had the hot chocolate which was amazing, I have never had chocolate that's so rich and texture like pudding! My fiancee had coffee ice cream which was great (the homemade ice cream was also famous). The staff was so nice that we had sponge cake as a gift. It's fluffy and perfect match with the ice cream. We enjoyed very much and definitely come back again.

A hidden gem. If you want to try best ice cream you ever ate you should come here. Very friendly staff and much of a choice. We drank hot chocolate and white coffee with strawberry ice cream and their traditional pastry ensaimada.

Have you been to New Orleans? Well, this is a better version of a cafe du monde. Amazing delicious pastries with great hospitality.

Very beautiful and old café. Almost empty, very nice inside and the almond cake and ice is something you really must try. We can strongly recommend a visit here.

Best cafeteria in town. An icon in Palma's history. My recommended order is ensaïmada and hot chocolate or hazelnut ice cream if it's summer.

Delicious typical mallorchean breakfast. It's mostly sweet pastries, you can also come for snack time. They have tees and coffee and ice cream. I found a Gluten Free option: "Gatau de almendras" or almond cake, suuper fluffy and delicious. I also recommend the almond horchata to drink

Unfortunately I don't really understand the amazing reviews about this place. The service was very good and the Cafe was old, but it didn't seem well maintained. The pastries were nice but nothing too special and the hot chocolate was very sweet.

Try the ice cream! The place is old styled and beautiful. The service is very good and food comes fast. We went for breakfast and had ice cream, orange juice and a soft cake called Cuarto. The place is very cheap and the quality is good. I recommend to try the empanadas and ensaimadas as well (you can order food for take out)

😐 Everything is okay. Nice staff but something is missing! You know when you sometimes eat something and it is good but not special. It could be more tasty. Prices and portions are fair.
