Beautiful forest preserve with two lake loop trails nestled against the Morton Arboretum and rt. 53. This preserve features a big open lake, Round Meadow Lake, with a trail that loops around. The area is open for great views and easy fishing access. Trail is gravel and very level and well maintained. The second lake, Eagle lake, is much more wooded and shady but also has a gravel loop trail. It is a good spot for birdwatching due to a lot of undergrowth and proximity to water. In between the two lakes is a beautiful old bridge from the 1870s which is well worth a visit. The forest preserve is accessed from a single entrance across from the WalMart and features two parking areas, one close the the picnic pavilion and restrooms and another near the informational sign and bridge. Overall this is a great forest preserve that offers a wide variety of scenery for its size and location!

One of the nicest parks I have visited for morning relaxation. It's great to take a walk here in the morning hours, surrounded by silence and the chatter of ducks. The perfect park for peace and positive vibes.

The trail around Eagle is beautiful, has a really cool bridge and has lots of shade. Not particularly long (1 mile) but worth the trip. The (0.9 mile) trail around Round Meadow Lake is also beautiful but if you go during the day bring a hat! Lots of sun with very little shade.

Hosted my bridal shower here! Great picnic shelter that can be reserved. Perfect for relaxed parties or birthdays. Close by bathrooms and dumpster for easy clean up. Beautiful day in a beautiful space!

Nice scenery. The trail around the big lake is a bit over 1 mile so it doesn't take long to do. There is zero shade and the trail is basically white so bring a hat and sunglasses.

Love this β€˜hidden’ gem right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Beautiful park across from Walmart which parallels The Morton Arboretum in some places. Lots of places to stop and take in all of the beauty and serenity.

Beautiful trail to walk with family and children. Both of the bridges are safe guarded by fence, so you wont have to worry to much while walking with your kids! FYI, there are lots of open areas here so it Makes for little shade. We like going out here on the cooler days!β€πŸ’œ

A pleasant, albeit small forest preserve. It's exactly 2 miles to do both loops of the lakes, all on well paved limestone. One of the lakes is in the open with no tree cover, the other is within tree cover. You can't help but look across the trail to see the Morton Arboretum where it looks incredible. I'd say this preserve is great for a casual short walk or if you fancy laying out on a boat in the extremely calm water of the lake. Parking is available (but not ample), dogs on leashes and bathroom facilities are nice. There's a Walmart on your way out of the parking lot as well!

Beautifully maintained walking trail with nature all around. Good place for a walk, bike ride, or to just relax for a moment. Well maintained paths. Surrounded by nature. The trail to the hidden lake is partially shaded. Very easy, could probably even make it around handicap accessible. Wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon. Would recommend for a quick getaway from the bustle of the city.

Gorgeous outdoor walking trail, plenty of benches along the way, dog friendly as long as they’re on a leash.

Small but enjoyable. You could still hear the traffic going by but it was a great place for kids to practice kayaking skills. There were lots of fishing.

Nice quiet space to reflect. Or have a peaceful conversation with your friend. There are washrooms, drinking fountain and the trail that leads around the lake is paved. So it makes for easy walking. Even if you use a rolling walker

This is a great place to go for a picnic, walk, or to take your kayak or canoe out. If you plan to take a non motorized boat out, you are allowed, but you will need a permit from DuPage County Forest Preserve District. This is easy to obtain and not too expensive, $30 for the whole year. This is a great spot and never too crowded!

First of all, the lake is definitely not hidden. It is fairly large and easily found when you drive into the lot. In fact, there's no way you could miss it. There is a wide crushed gravel path all around it, and nothing that obstructs the view to the lake. Not much shrubbery or trees, very open and right on a busy intersection. I guess my expectations were too high. The adjacent Du Page river had some mallards in it, looked more natural (and hidden...)

We go there everytime we crave some fresh air and some exercise. It has two huge lakes and two loops. There's a shaded area for picnics and I've seen people fishing here as well. There's ample parking space. The park is clean except for all the dog poop, the dog owners leave behind.

The fishing is just okay we caught only one little bluegill. They have a nice picnic area but they could use more tables. The place is nice and clean and they have actual bathrooms. We brought our own grill and table so we were okay but they need to stock the water with some more fish.

The parking lots and the trails are in exceptional condition. The forest itself is a chaotic jungle overrun with Poison ivy,Virginia Creeper and wild grape vines which are strangling countless trees to death. .Many trees have already succumed.According to the informative signs, the lakes are inhabited with invasive zebra mussels. Bordering the lakes runs the pungent open sewer called the DuPage River.Poisonous Hemlock ,Poke weed and what looked like poison oak are everywhere. STAY ON THE TRAIL!

Great place to unwind. We broke in my Daughter's new kayak here and really had a great time.

😐 Ok place for Disc golf. It not a dedicated disc golf course. It's a mix use park. That has several amenities on the property. Such a payground, baskets ball course and socker field. The Disc golf course is nice. 3 of 5.
