this location is excellent but management is very poor. glasses and dishes are very dirty and it stinks and used in foods with very unhealthy flavors like monosodium glutamate. when i was in the pool ,the monkeys stole my wallet and fled in to the wood.so i lost my drivers license , bank cards ,.there is no any system to protection from monkeys. if you visit this place keep in mind to take your meals from out side. the swimming pool is in good condition.

This place is conveniently located. Landscaped garden space is pleasing to the eyes. Rooms are spacious and amenities are sufficient. Kind staff. BUT they rent this space for PARTIES. They get very loud, intolerable and irritating. Once the crowd is drunk management is voiceless and the crowd wont listen. They go on singing and dancing till very late. Lovely place but you are taking a chance. If you are lucky you will enjoy the space, if you are not you need earplugs.

Garden is great. Pool was clean and well maintained. They seem to spend alot of effort to maintain the garden which is great and results were visible. Food was tasty. Service was great. Friendly and courteous staff. However what was concerning when we were there was the quality of the rooms.they need some uplifting. Bathrooms were not clean. Had problems with the water pressure. Suggest to revamp with new quality fittings and work on the water pressure.

We stayed 4 days in Hotel Mahanuge. The service provided by all was brilliant. They were really kind and helpful. The food was really delicious and had lots of varieties too. They were kind enough to prepare separate meals for kids. The room was tidy and clean. Swimming pool was large, nice & clean. Comparatively accommodation & food were cheaper. Hope to stay again when we visit Sri Lanka again.

I went to a marriage function. So nice and calm place foods are delicious good place to bring your kids.

Highly Recommended...!!! Nice hotel to stay in Polonnaruwa. I stayed one night. Hotel staff very friendly and they treated me very well. Rooms are clean , Foods very delicious , Calm place to stay with your loving ones.

We had a great day in this place for a cheaper price. Actually we selected a dayout package and we got the welcome drink at first, then the lunch with its desert , soup and later a cup of milk tea with sandwiches in the evening. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The pool was well maintained and was allowed to use until the package gets over. So I highly recommend this place for a dayout or holiday fun.

Today in our way to Batticaloa we just stopped to have dinner. We have visited this place before and then it was good. BUT TODAY SERVICE AND EVERYTHUNG WAS HORRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE VISIT IR RECOMEND MAHANUGA FOR ANYONE. FEMALE BATHROOM WAS FLOIDED WITH WATER. YUCK EVEN AFTER COMPLAINING NO ONE WENT TO CHECK.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

No major issues , good place to enjoy , specially for having liquor ( standing shots ) , but they dont have variety of fruit juice , always have just three or four kind of fruits , chiken is always rotten thats the only issues in the hotel otherwise fairly good .....

not recommend this hotel anymore. service is too bad. food too bad. i don't know why ppl recommend this hotel for food and especially glass is not clean its smelly like fishes . as they mention FB but they provide a small amount its not enough . if u ar not eat fish u hve to eat becouse of thire providing remaing stuff for full board customers . so sad to say this is the bad hotel in the polonnaruwa area

A decent place to stay and dine if you are visiting Polonnaruwa for a vaccation. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They have a very good menu for all three meals that taste really good. Rooms are clean and pleasant and are equipped with basic amenities only. The hotel is very close to the archelogical site area which is an added advantage.
