If you wanna take a break of the beach or find something cooler to do indoor, this is the place. The aquarium is not super big but a decent size. You could see the major fishes, sharks, penguins, birds, monkeys and reptiles. The queue wasn’t too long, even it is popular for families to go. It takes you around 2 hours to walk through the aquarium. It is well maintained and there are a list of activists with scheduled showtime. Suggest to go earlier so you will not miss out any activities.

This is the first time visiting this place although I have been visiting Langkawi for multiple times. The outlook is very quite and peaceful, the car parking lots are empty. My initial thought it maybe operating time not yet reach. 🤣 Once entering with ticket, the crowds are there, specially young kids with parents. Quite relaxing and peaceful watching the animals and sea creatures behaviour.

I absolutely love this place. Simple yet still there are a number of exhibits to watch and observe around. You will be welcomed by fish and birds at the main entrance. Surprisingly some birds are friendly as they can simply roam around the area unafraid of the visitors walking among them. Other unique animals that you spot on are penguins, sharks, stingray, otter and jelly fish. Do check out the feeding schedule of some animals that the staff will feed daily. You will not only able to observe the activity but also getting the latest information by the staff on duty explaining about the animals and their activities. Towards the end of the exhibits, you can spot few shops selling merchandise and chocolates too. I was surprised to find that the price was reasonable too despite the stalls were located inside the building of underwater itself. Definitely a good bargain for me.

One of the major tourist attractions on this vacation island located in the heart of Pantai Chenang is a must-visit during your time here. Entry tickets can be bought at the entrance or pre-booked online. Exhibits of all aquatic fishes of both salt and freshwater species are well planned and lined with the one-way traffic flow. Rare exotic marine life was also on exhibit including some live sea mammals show and patrons participating in penguin feeding times. With a small additional fee, visitors can embark on a cinematic documentary of animals living in the sea and rare species in the abyss in a comfortable auditorium. A souvenirs shop at the end of the tour meets visitors who wish to purchase memorabilia to remember their visit. Overall, a well run aquarium that deserved a thumbs up.

This is one of the most amazing places to visit at Langkawi. It has so many varieties of deep sea water creatures, snakes, Penguins and Shark. Worth visiting for aquatic animals lover. Here you will see various species with details about them having trivia and fun facts. Aquarium are big enough to contain the animals. Very clean and beautiful place. We were amazed to see so many beautiful creatures.

Highly recommended! Was very impressed with everything I saw. The only thing is, I thought that the place is big since people say you will spend 3 hours roughly in underwater world. I find the place quite small personally for the price. But since I paid via package I didn't quite feel the pinch directly. Overall I really did enjoyed myself with my family. I took many videos 📷

We had some time to kill before our flight so decided to visit here. Was easy purchasing tickets on their website which is CHEAPER than the door so strongly advise to do this prior to visiting. Tickets are valid for a year which is good. Don't bother purchasing the extra 6rm pp for the extras wasn't really that interesting. We liked that the tanks were open from the top so we could view the animals from top and in the water. The feeding of the sting rays was great to watch. The staff member doing this was great at answering all our questions about what he was feeding them. There was also a lady training some of the baby fish to eat which was fascinating to watch. You can literally do the whole aquarium in an hour. We've been to many in the world so have alot to compare it too. Good for kids too to keep them busy.

Certainly a rewarding experience though I would recommend to go in their feeding time which is around 3:30pm,thete is also no waiting time once you pay you can enter the aquarium. Although the first image suggests a shark tunnel, the actual exhibit features a tunnel with penguins. The aquarium showcases a diverse array of species and also includes a collection of shells. While the admission fee may seem high at first, it's well worth it. The only drawback is that the overall size of the aquarium is somewhat limited.

Lots of area have been closed and I have to pay RM170++ for entry tickets (6pax-2adult & 4child). The infrastructure not well maintained. It is sad. As the Langkawi tourism should low the entry price and create more tourist to visit here. However they choose to charge a bit high price for tickets and the visit only took less than 1 hour. I suggest the ticket price need to be reviewed again and advertise this place. Please do maintain the place. Understand Post Covid 19 MCO caused lots trouble. But I loved Langkawi and I do not want this place to be the first place to shut down.

Top recommended tourist spot at Langkawi. Varieties of sea creatures can be found here, particularly fish, shells, starfish, crabs, penguins, sea otters and etc. The shows also had been arranged, mostly in afternoon slots. Very educating spots as the kids can enjoy learning the knowledge of sea creatures here while enjoying.

As long he happy... The main attraction here are the PENGUINS 🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧

Great place first time i have been to an underwater marine museum. It was real surprise specially it was not a great looking place from the outside. The place was really good they have a wide variety of fishes and it will take at-least 2-3 hours to cover this place. The place will be good experience for the kids and the family audience. The viewing of shark going over head its a nice experience to have.

The exhibition is dated and can be improved. The place looked old and dearly need some renovation to attract more people to come visit. Its worth the money I pay for but I don't mind paying extra if they add more exhibition.

We didn’t have high expectation of this place and the tickets came complimentary with our stay… but I couldn’t have been more wrong! Despite being open for many years and yes, it’s showing it’s age in some areas. This places is packed with animals. From little critters to fish as big as me! There are even birds walking freely around in one section, a mini waterfall and penguins! I was truly blown away at the variety of animals enclosed here. At the end of your journey, you’ll enter a duty free chocolate store, how convenient! This is a great place to bring kids because there’s so much to see and do.

We had a very good experience in underwater world, it was new for us. It’s famous in Langkawi, and affordable. You can enjoy every area with cleanliness and calm atmosphere. Highly recommended for tourists even for families. Duty free next underwater is affordable to buy souvenirs.

I love the layout and species varieties in the facility. The display are great and animals looked well cared and happy. I even spot some eggs in Clown Fish enclosure that shows good water quality. One thing to improve on is the speaker quality during feeding time. Train your staff to have intonation and good diction when explaining about the animals. I cant hear anything from the bad sound system and I was only a few metres away from the staff.

great fish tanks although not really many fish compared to aquaria klcc. but it's just nice to have your kids inside. lot's of penguins and also lots of big fish inside the big aquarium. other than that, you can also see fossils too. and the best part is the megalodon teeth.

Attractions Langkawi Underwater World exhibits a variety of freshwater and marine fish and marine life. It is a new attraction that must be seen when visiting Langkawi. It is located on Pantai Cenang. This aquarium has collected more than 5,000 kinds of marine life, which are kept in more than 100 water tanks of different sizes. One of the attractions is a huge tank containing big fish and sharks, rays, groupers and green turtles, and a 15-meter-long tunnel allows visitors to enjoy marine life. Other attractive landscapes include various marine plants, as well as strange-shaped fish, fossils and shellfish. In the glass tunnel, visitors can also watch sharks, giant stingrays, sea turtles and eels through the glass tunnel while strolling here. The feeding time of these carnivores is 3 o'clock in the afternoon every day. Opening hours Business status changes frequently, it is recommended to consult the scenic spot in advance. Original business hours: all year round: 10:00-18:00, public and school holidays 9:30-18:30

Great place for couples and family. I wish to go back again soon. I personally recommend people to buy ticket earlier from Shop**. I got my tickets from Shope* at RM33 for 1 adult. If you buy walk in tickets, it will cost RM43 for 1 adult. There’s a RM10 difference, so please make wise decision 😅😅

Very impressive! There is a beautiful tunnel-like part made out of glass where penguins, sharks, turtles, stingrays etc. swim over you, which was my favourite part. This is all beautifully done with a wide selection of animals. Really nice!

They do have fare amount of sea life for display. However feel there can be lot of improvements. Some of the places the animals are kept were not sufficient in space and can be kept more cleanly. Specially the penguin cages and where they keep the seal. This can be more worthy if you go on a time where there are more activities planned. After 4.00 pm there are pretty much no activities available so that time is not recommended. For foreigners buying tickets through services like klook is cheaper than getting it from the gates.

Underwater world is located at a walkable distance (5-7 mins approx) from Pantai Cenang beach. You'll like it a lot if you're a first time visitor to any such aquariums. Even if you've seen such things before, this place won't disappoint you and will keep you engrossed for 1-2 hours. Since I had seen a few before (Singapore and Hong Kong), I found it just OK and not something extraordinary. Comparatively, I had liked the ones in Singapore and HK more. If you're first time visitor or have kids along, you might spend 3-4 hours easily. The tickets are priced at RM 53 per international adult and you can buy them easily on the spot. There are some specific timings(mentioned at the entrance) when you can get to see Penguin feeding, and feeding Turtles and other species by divers in the tanks. I liked this part, especially feeding of the white turtle. Washrooms are present inside, although not very clean but good that they have it there. If you've not seen a sea aquarium before, you must visit while in Langkawi.

There was a wide variety of animals in Underwater World, with surprise creatures such as flamingos and birds and reptiles that some may not expect to see in an aquarium. There were other sea creatures such as penguins, pufferfish, jellyfish, stingrays, starfish etc. The place was rather well maintained with only a slightly foul smell in some enclosures. It wasn't too crowded, congestions only occured during feeding time at certain enclosures and only then would the area get a little noisy. There were informative information tags next to the enclosures and several exhibitions displaying fossilised sea creatures and sea shells. There was also a glass tunnel where one can see sea creatures such as sea turtles and other fish swimming above their heads and beside them which provided a more interactive experience. The gift shop held a varied range of products which could serve as good souvenirs as well. Recommended buying tickets online before heading over to the aquarium. An overall pleasent experience!

Auditorium immersive travel the world clip was pretty disappointing, conflicting themes with seemingly mashed up videos poor resolution. I was there in summer 2017. Very fascinating place, you can behold different types of fish, sharks and even penguins! I think it would be good to go there with children, they will be satisfied. Clean and cosy premises, polite personnel. i think you wont be disappointed.

This was a pleasant surprise for a "jaded" aquarium goer. It's got an amazing number of penguins. We enjoyed the sea lions and reef sharks, plus pink flamingos. The exhibits are interesting and visitors can get really up close to them. The ticket price was a bit steep but we managed to get discounts by booking through kl**k.

Underwater World Langkawi is one of the largest aquaria in Malaysia. Since the start of its operation on 26 August 1995, it has become one of the must visit tourist destinations in Langkawi and has attracted a large number of foreign as well as local tourists. Other attractions include the Freshwater Fish Section, the Seashell Display, the Koi Pond, the Reptilian Section and the Coral Reef Section. A must go places.

It's a touristy destination but a good place to kill time during the mid-day heat. The "underwater tunnel" attraction has only penguins. However during my visit, there are a pair of very playful penguins which will follow people around the tunnel. Very cute. The attraction exit is directly into the duty free mall next door. So hit 2 spots in one go I guess.

It’s fun watching various marine species here. Parking is very ample (probably because of weekday) and it’s just side by side with Coco Valley and The Zone Duty Free. I specifically love the tunnel tank session where they got diver personally goes into the tank and feed the animals and also penguin feeding session. Do plan your visit around the feeding time. One of the caretaker (didn’t get his name unfortunately) is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. You can ask anything and he is glad to explain it. The other employee is accommodating as well when I asked about a penguin who seems to isolate himself from the the rest of the group. I think any visit to aquarium would be very enjoyable when someone can explain on the animals behaviour The only drawback is the 10mins 3D show which is waste of money. They were showing what animals living at every few hundred metres below sea level. It’s not 3D tho, no 3D mask been distributed. And probably because I’ve seen the exact video on facebook.

This aquarium have varieties of fresh water fish and salt water fish however property is not properly maintained and the deep seas visit show is also not that interesting to me but considering that you are coming for a holiday in langkawi maybe you can consider to pay a visit there is a duty free shop just beside with varieties of chocolates and liquor and a reasonable price

Visiting here for the first time ever, even though I've been to Langkawi for super multiple times. Never thought visiting the underwater world could be so fun, greeting the friendly animals. Not a very big place, but everyone are still cute and energetic, taken good care by the workers I supposed.

As to older adults we had never bother to go, but did on this trip, what a great place to see many great aquatic wild life plus birds reptiles and a really good display on the history of fossils. Great value for money and a well spent couple of hrs even for oldies like us.

A beautiful aquarium to enjoy a wide varieties of marine and aquatic creatures such as black tip shark, turtle, stingray, and colourful coral reefs. You will enjoy walking through on 8-meter tunnel to see African Penguins swimming around you. Don't miss the penguins feeding time. A good place to learn more about the marine ecosystem, especially if you want a respite from your usual beach activity in Langkawi. You can probably give the "Deep Under the Sea" show a miss. Not worth the time and add-on ticket. The projection was not clear, and contents not substantive.

Had a great time here! Was amazed by the variety of marine life that we were able to see here! The place had informative write ups about each species as well. Spent about 1 hour here. Time well spent!

Second time visiting langkawi but first time visit to underwater world. Good place for parents bringing children to explore. You can purchase the ticket online, it’s cheaper than buying over the counter. The place is not really big, adults can easily finish walking within 30-40 minutes. Coincidentally this time when we visit most of the water in the aquarium is cloudy due to water system improvement.

Came here as a couple without kids but we had lots of fun too! Was surprised to learn that they had more than just underwater animals - when you first enter, you are greeted by a host of reptiles, and then a mini bird park-like area. It was really fun watching the feeding times. There are so many wildlife here including some really huge fishes - you won't believe the size until you really stand next to it!

Top recommended tourist spot at Langkawi. Varieties of sea creatures can be found here, in particular penguins, fishes, crabs and etc. The shows of penguins, seals, and tunnel tank whereby feeding of the large fishes will be organized throughout the days, mostly in afternoon. Overall, a good experience. Highly recommended!

We came here on a whim and were not disappointed. The enclosures and tanks are well maintained, and the variety of animals is impressive. It's perhaps a little overpriced given that the experience as a whole is quite short, but we had a great time.

Great aquarium, small but has a variety of marine life, reptiles and birds. The parking might be empty, but rest assured ... It's open Two things I didn't like, I don't appreciate when pricing for locals and foreigners are different Second, water is cloudy, needs a little maintenance.

I recently had the opportunity to explore the underwater world in Langkawi and it was a cool experience. The water was clear and the coral reefs were truly beautiful. It was amazing to see so many different types of fish swimming around in their natural habitat and i had the opportunity to see the the team feeding the penguins . I highly recommend visiting this place especially if you have kids

place looks ok...animals seems healthy and well...wish they had more varieties...they also had hands on activity like Batik painting for starters...RM10 which was good....suggestion would be an area where you can actually touch non poisonous species like star fishes and other sea species...

Discover all the wonders that lie underneath the deep blue waters of Malaysia's oceans with a visit to Underwater World Langkawi, one of the largest aquariums in the country! Geared towards knowledge, education, and entertainment, the park is a must visit for all nature lovers, as well as those who wish to obtain an understanding of life in the water. Check out the 4,000 different aquatic species as you explore the park that's almost six acres big, with facilities like the Seashell Display, the Koi Pond, and a new building which features the Tropical Rainforest, Temperate and Sub-Antarctic Ecosystems. See massive sea creatures like stingrays, groupers, and green turtles as you walk through the 15-meter long tunnel that houses 500,000 liters of seawater! Take photos of the adorable penguins playing around inside the "Penguinarium," which features a small tunnel where you can watch them swim. If you want to see more of the aquarium's fascinating creatures, you can also attend the feeding schedules and learn more about them as they show off for the trainers. Once you're done wandering inside, you can also visit the shopping center and the cafe inside for a quick break and some souvenir shopping, before you leave the park with lots of new information in your head.

Went here during school holidays, surprisingly it is not crowded at all. Banyak species haiwan dekat sini, dari haiwan darat, ke laut, ke hutan, macam macam ada. Randomly came here as my husband and I have no idea where to go. So it was my 1st time here. Im enjoying every corner of this place. Ticket around RM40+ per person for adult.
