This
is
the
Langkawi
equivalent
of
Patong
or
Kuta
Beach,
yet
far
more
stripped-down
lol,
making
it
a
lot
more
family-friendly
in
the
process
-
with
go-go
bars
(and
scantily-clad
hostesses)
replaced
by
the
“standard”
beer-drinking
spots
and
lots
of
duty-free
shops
(including
familiar
Langkawi
names
like
Zon,
Warisan,
Coco
Valley,
Teow
Soon
Huat,
Choco
Planet,
and
Eastern)
along
with
the
usual
souvenir
shops
selling
local
handicrafts,
LGK
t-shirts,
and
batik
attire.
Since
it
was
December,
we
saw
many
Caucasian
tourists
during
our
stay
in
the
island,
as
I
won’t
be
surprised
many
of
them
prefer
to
head
to
hot
and
humid
SE-Asia
to
escape
the
freezing
cold
in
their
home
countries
up
north.
While
there
were
also
many
locals
and
Asians
thronging
the
place,
lending
a
very
happening
atmosphere
in
the
process.
And
LADA
has
certainly
done
a
good
job
with
keeping
the
walkways
as
pedestrian-friendly
as
before,
during
the
quiet
days
of
the
MCO
lockdown…
The
tiles
were
all
in
good
shape
and
made
it
so
much
more
fun
to
walk
around
Cenang
Beach
when
compared
with
its
famous
beachside
chum
in
Penang!
