The good parts. The room was as clean as it could be. Beds were comfortable for me but probably quite hard for most. There was no hot water during our stay and was told to walk to another hotel if we wanted a shower…. The door to the bathroom, I believe, was reused from the original series of Blind Date and had not been oiled since whilst trying to slide it back. Quite dated rooms but that’s not a massive issue as everything worked (other than hot water) and there was no air con. So bare that in mind if you get hot easily. Quite a noisy location too, not traffic wise but from sports clubs and ‘flea markets’ surrounding it. I wouldn’t stay again. The location is a bit sketchy.

When I talk only about the hotel, then I have to give 5 stars because for that money you get a very good service. The hotel and the rooms are very clean, the staff changes your sheets and towels every day, and the room is cleaned every day, as well as the rest of the hotel, which we saw daily. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfortable, the place is well connected to bus and metro stations, and plenty of restaurants with great food are within walking distance. When we talk about the location of the hotel, of course it is not to be praised, the streets are very dirty, everywhere smells of urine and only foreigners live there. The hotel is not to blame for that, and for that price as far as the hotel is concerned, it's worth it! 👌

It's a good place to stay if you are not interested in spending a lot on what you get in a hotel. It provides a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. Clean and comfortable rooms. No hassle. I read a lot of negative reviews and was scared because I had already booked, but it's not bad at all. Ofcourse it's not like the usual hotels, there are no amenities in the room. But, There is a snack dispenser and coffee machine on every floor, the staff is friendly, rooms get cleaned daily. It is somewhere between a hostel and a hotel room and is decent enough considering the price. The location is fine as well, connectivity to the metro is good. I hardly spent more than a few hours in and I recommend it to anyone who plans to do the same on a budget.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the low price. But for the quality and service provided it's still outrageous. Firstly, the parking garage smells like a public bathroom. Most likely because it is being used like one. There are puddles throughout the parking deck. Somehow the smell gets even worse when entering the elevator. Entering the Hotel, the Alarm was going off. None of the employees knew how to shut it off. None of the staff spoke any English, apart from individual words, like 'elevator', 'check-in' or 'room'. Making our way upstairs, the hallways had a sour smell, comparable to brine. The room was an absolute disaster. We had booked a room for 3 people. The room was the size of a one person room in other Ibis Budget locations. A double bed and a bunk bed bolted to the wall above was the way to turn this little closet into a 3 person room. There is no AC. The window does open - directly to the Périphérique - the large circular highway running around the inner city. Like other Ibis Budget locations there is no bathroom. The sink is beside the bed, the toilet and shower are in two small, seperate chambers, like stalls in a public bathroom. Neither of them where really clean. Here comes the kicker: the bedsheets were stained a yellowish-brown and there was a bloodstain on the floor and curtain by the window. I will repeat myself: a BLOODSTAIN on the floor So it is obvious nobody bothered to actually clean the room. We immediately left the room, since we value our health. After a short 'talk' with the man at the lobby we left and cancelled the booking. I don't think he understood what my issue with the room was, as he kept assuring me that "elevator over there". In conclusion: Avoid this hotel at all costs Its a health risk, unsafe neighbourhood, incompetent staff, disgusting parking garage and overall in a dilapidated condition.

Everything about this hotel was horrible: first of all the staff was everything but friendly or welcoming, they spoke poor English, and communicating with them by phone or email was nearly impossible. The hotel itself was not the best look-wise, but okay keeping in mind it’s a budget hotel. Our hotel room: bed wasn’t made when we arrived (had to make the bunk bed ourselves when coming into the room late at night, there were also hairs in it), we had only one socket in the most inconvenient place a person can think of (while we were staying in a room for 3 persons). The shower stall was leaking which drowned half of our room, and there was a blood stain on the toilet door. There was no soap, and the light wasn't working properly. The neighbourhood was not very safe (which we could have looked into ourselves beforehand, but still not a safe feeling) with dirt, urination and homeless people 10 meters away from the hotel entrance. All together, would not recommend.

Budget friendly hotel! Great to spend the night in (considering you'll be out and about exploring Paris the whole day). Comfortable and clean beds with pillows. Toilet with toilet paper and good warm shower. Towels provided. 10 minute walk to Metro. 5 minute walk to the biggest flea market in Europe (whole area of flea markets). Honestly, this hotel made me believe that Paris is affordable and not only for people with loadsssss of money.

First of all, housekeeping STOLE MY MONEY (100e) while I was out. The reception is staffed by unprofessional people who do not speak English. There is no hair dryer in the bathroom, when I asked the employees to give me a hair dryer, they asked me for a 20 euro deposit. The toilet and bathroom are separate and look like capsules, very claustrophobic. No hair shampoo. The location is terrible. The place is terrible, the neighbors look creepy. The hotel is far from the center. Nicole I would not recommend this hotel.

The location isn't great, it's not the most prosperous area and I'd advise you to be wary of pickpockets. It is however a 10 minute walk from Pte de Saint-Ouen station on line 13 and it has its own bus stop as well. Checking in was super easy. The staff speak decent English which is great for foreign travelers. We were in our room within 2 minutes of walking through the door. The rooms are small, but they are advertised as so, and I doubt you'd find anything bigger for the price. The toilet & shower are adequate but again not extremely spacious. There's a hanger rack for clothes and it's overall adequate. In conclusion, it's adequate for any short stay you'd want to do in Paris.

So there is alot of bad press about this hotel and its location. So I will be as honest and open minded as I can. The hotel itself is huge , very clean and despite what I read from fellow reviewers the staff were friendly and very attentive, a smile goes a long way ! The room was small , and the separate w.c and shower were similar to a caravans facilities BUT it is a BUDGET hotel and you get what you pay for !! If you are looking for somewhere to lay your head and have a shower , somewhere close to the metro which has quick access to all the major sightseeing areas then this hotel is for you . There are no wardrobes or drawers but goes have this kind of hook which you can hand some garments , but you pretty much live out of your suitcase . The walls are quite thin , but luckily we didn't encounter too much noise. The flea market to the left is quite daunting and we chose not to go through there , as there is a metro that way , we chose the other metro ( garibaldi ) which you get to exiting the right of the hotel. The pickpockets are rife apparently in the flea market as our uber driver who couldn't speak English but was nice enough to Google translate " please be careful here , there are alot of thieves " just exit the right , walk down a little bit and then right again will lead you to the main street with lots of shops , lidl , a nice health food shop , domino's and even McDonald's !! The meteo garibaldi is next to McDonald's . Given the choice I would re book at this hotel as £230 for 5 days with easy access to the main city its well worth it .

When I entered the hotel, the receptionists where quite rude. I told them. Upfront that I would be arriving early yet they did not tell me that there was an extra fee needed to check in. When we asked just to put our luggage away so we didn't had to walk around Paris with them, they had "lockers" at the price of €10. We decided to pay to early check in then so that we at least could leave our bags in the room. When entering the room it looked nothing like the pictures on the site. The rooms are very claustrophobic and the toilet and showers is like a train cabinet. It's really small and has metal doors which causes people to wake up in the night. When we asked a quiet room we didnt get that at all.. This is the worst hotel I've ever been to in Paris and I don't recommend it at all. It's not worth the 100 + money you spend on it!

We arrived around 11o'clock at the reception and the it took over 15 minutes just to get the room access codes. The receptionist was busy with some another customer. Considering the price for the property the room, toilet and bath was pretty good and sufficient for a family of 3. only thing that made us really uncomfortable was there aren't any room heaters. Despite the thick bedspread, it was really cold during the night and an heater is charged extra which is pretty unusual when compared to germany. We had stayed in a similar hotel from ibis in germany and the experience was better there. Breakfast was pretty good and the cleaning crew was really friendly. Apart from the Cold room, everything seems good.

It fits the expectation of a budget experience. It is well located with 2 different subway stations nearby. It might be a good option if you stay the whole day exploring the city and return only to have a shower and sleep.

3 night stay, we booked 2 rooms for 3 people each. Pro -Position is very good, lots of bus stops - Room disposition with all the amenities separate it's perfect, even for 3 people. - Room very quiet - Receptionist very gentle and available Cons - Be ready to be a maid if you are in 3 people as they don't do/redo the bed on the top - Lack in maintenance ( i.e Panel lights not working, sink overflowing) - For 2 days in a row, in the morning there was no hot water, so no chance to have a comfy shower - After Saturday's market, outside view is not the best ( lots of rubbish left in the proximity of the building)

Honestly other reviews are right. The way to get there from paris central passes under an overpass, which lots of homeless people gather by. Now its awful that these people are so unfortunate and km truly sorry about their condition but we did get verbally harassed once and always felt really unsafe going back to the place and it stinks horribly. Now the hotel itself is perfectly fine with absolutely perfectly adequate rooms even if the other guests where loud as hell at all hours sometimes. Only 15 to 10 minute walk to line M13 to paris centre. Honestly would rather not stay here again on the basis of distance and the unsafemess but the hotel itself its absolutely fine, clean and nice

It was alright for what it is, you don't expect luxury in a budget hotel. The room was alright but the shower and bathroom are separated and quite claustrophobic but it is what it is for just somewhere to sleep. There is a full size window big enough to jump from if it gets too much. The location isn't brilliant but it's a fairly short walk to the nearest subway station so you can go where you want from there. There was no hot water in the morning at one point and they charged us 5 euro for toothpaste but overall it was ok so if you don't plan on being in the hotel alot it's ok

Take a hotel room. Make it smaller. Then make it smaller again. Move the wardrobe and sink into the room so you can make the room smaller again and then charge more than other hotels nearby with rooms twice the size. The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable giving me two of the worst sleeps I can remember. The breakfast is very limited. The only positives were the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful but I will not be staying here again.

So firstly as we arrived we found roaches on the bed, we had complained about this but they barely gave us alternatives. The bedsheets and cushions smelt ridiculously bad to the point we didn't use it, same goes with the towels. The sink was placed near the bed rather than inside the bathroom which wasn't helpful. The space of the room was not enough for 3 and I kid you not it was enough for only 1 or 2 people, the lighting in the room was not the best. The room temperature was the worst especially at night with no air conditioning. There was no locks on the toilet and the shower which was inconvenient. There was not enough charging ports to charge anything which wasted allot of time. And lastly the location of this hotel was disgusting and filled with rats. There was a homeless camp right opposite the hotel. I would never in my lifetime recommend this hotel to anyone especially to families with children and girls as it is not safe. The staff weren't the kindest or the friendliest, there was no communication between the staff. Definitely not worth the price of it.

  • 3/5 Ayman H. 6 months ago on Google
The hotel itself is very basic. The sink is in the bedroom, the shower room is quite stuffy, and there's no toilet seat on the toilet. Overall though, for a quick night's sleep it did the job. Why I won't be returning though is due to the location. Right next to the hotel there is a market selling lots of stolen goods. Going through this (which is hard to avoid), someone attempted to pickpocket my friend at 3pm during the day. Leaving again in the morning, people were eyeing us up as we walked towards the metro. Do yourself a favour and get a taxi if you do decide to stay here

Rooms were clean Extremely simple rooms with no air con or even a fan. Noisy location , because of traffic Location is a bit sketchy and you definitely need to arrange your own means of transport Budget wise it is much better than staying at a hostel where you have to stay in a loaded room with a bunch of strangers Next time I come to Paris I would definitely increase my budget so I could enjoy myself in a proper hotel Ibis is a knock-off chain of hotels trying to direct their services towards budget cautious travelers , so don't expect a lot from them 😕

  • 2/5 Chifonne D. 8 months ago on Google
Yes, the rooms were bare bones, but I expected that for a budget hotel. So really, everything met my expectations in that regard. It was at least clean and the property itself felt safe. The staff I did interact with were helpful and pleasant. The location is definitely the drawback...if you walk out the front door of the hotel and go to the left, you are in quite a shady area. Late at night it felt very unsafe (and I would add that I have lived and worked in major European cities for the last 7 years, so these are not the words of an inexperienced tourist). I would also offer a warning that the "fresh air system" they refer to for cooling on the website literally just means windows that open. For us, it was okay, even though we were there in August, as the weather happened to be quite cool, but had we been there in warmer weather we'd have been miserable. If you need a fan you have to rent it (if available) from the front desk.

The hotel isn't too close to transportation but worse, the neighborhood is really sketchy and dangerous. Huge amounts of people on something that seemed like a huge street fair? And the streets were really dirty. Also the smell or urine is a bit frequent on the streets. It lacks power outlets so bring extension cords. Also why is there a sink in the bedroom? The design of the whole hotel is a bit old and outdated, similar to like an hospital. But that's not that a huge deal. The breakfast is super simple and they take too long to restock the food.

  • 1/5 Matthew P. 8 months ago on Google
Not much to say that's positive about this hotel. Hotel room could do with a good clean and some maintenance as there were parts missing in the shower. We knew there was a fair distance to the center of Paris, and that it overlooks an extremely busy main road, so we were expecting that. But walking to the nearest metro stations meant going through areas full of litter, homeless camps and in the evenings they did not feel the safest, especially with a young family.

  • 1/5 aditya g. 5 months ago on Google
The hotel is located at a very shady place. The walk from nearest metro is scary at night. The rooms are extremely small with small windows which can’t be opened. At night the ac stopped working and created a very claustrophobic environment. I checked in for 4 nights but checked out the next day, I was promised a refund but they don’t answer my calls or reply to my emails. I am very much unsatisfied with the response boom IBIS. Won’t recommend to anyone.

First we will say that the recomendations of the other guests did not discribe our experience. In our room there weren‘t any bed bugs and they were clean. The housecleaning-team worked very well and all employees were very helpfull. The breakfast was tasty, nothing special, but everyone liked it. The sleeping rooms were big enough an the beds were confortable. For anybody who is searching for a cheap, and clean hotel, its a good place to stay.

This place is right at the edge of Paris. Mainly a business hotel, this place was unexpectedly full of adolescents and tourists of all ages. We as a couple spent there 4 nights and had a good time. Good value for the money with housekeeping included daily. There is an option for breakfast as well but we didn't have that. Underground parking is available too and a 24 hour front desk. In the lobby they offer free microwave ovens and vending machines with all kind of stuff, including umbrellas. Nice touch.

A very disgusting hotel. The rooms are extremely small. A three bed room has “bathroom” doors without locks, the toilets are absolutely disgusting, the shower has a very weird smell to it, the beds are very uncomfortable and the staircase is an absolute mess. On the outside of the hotel is more litter than on a landfill, even on the roofs and fairings. To the left of the hotel is a very nice view upon a ghetto. Overall a very disgusting, unsafe and uncomfortable place to stay. Avoid at all costs.

You get what you pay for... not much. Rooms are functional and comfortable, I knew the brand and I like it, it's a good option if you want to avoid bad surprises. Now THIS particular property was not as expected, in the room the sink was kind of stuck and the curtain was so old it had holes in it. For the rest the room was fine. Now the staff is not very welcoming, and the surroundings are not the best, but I knew what to expect when I booked it, this was not my prefered neighbourhood when I lived in Paris, but there is worse so overall it's ok. The good point is it is very convenient. It is situated just at Porte de Montmartre, there is a tramway station nearby and several bus stop that take you to the heart of the city within a few minutes. Also if you come by car, you have the "boulevard périphérique" (the "ring" arround Paris) next to the property.

Very poor. The room was not clean. Not happy at all. Despite the fact that I did check in online and did the pre auth as well using the same card details I was asked twice at the reception for amount that I have to pay for the room. The room was not clean I can see the pieces of crips on the table and the floor. Bedding was not properly done looks like someone has done it in a hurry. Overall experience is not good. Will never go to that hotel again.

Very pathetic. Rooms are very crumbled. No proper lighting inside. Beds were not properly arranged. I myself had to put the bed cover. Reception staffs are not really friendly and helpful. No proper charging points. I had to manage with my power bank…..I give zero star out of 5

On my second day no hot water. The hotel is very dirty in the commons areas. The room not very well clean on the following days. There is no air conditionair, and if you open the window you can’t sleep with the noise. The around area is a very bad neighbourhood. Bed is okay on comfort!

  • 2/5 Matthew B. 1 year ago on Google
Perfectly adequate if you're there for a night or two, as I was in 2013. Reasonably central location, and some great patisseries, bistros etc nearby. Garibaldi station (Metro) is also close by. Staff are very helpful, room was cleaned very well, internet connection was very good. If you're there for a week, the lack of tea/coffee making facilities, the road noise outside, the inadequate pillows, the lack of furniture/storage, and the fact that some of the surrounding area is rather rough all begin to wear. I slept incredibly poorly all week; perhaps the winter bedding combined with unseasonable heat also had something to do with it.

We stayed as 3 people in one room. The area is not very nice, but does the job. The transportation is convenient. The breakfast includes croissants, baguettes, cereals, coffee, butter, jam, yogurt, nutella, honey. We had a bunk-bed. Our beds were done but our friend who was sleeping on the upper bed did not find hers done. The toilet was not convenient to use. There are no slippers, so you have to step on the dirty floor with wet feet. Overall so so, but the people who work here are very nice.

  • 2/5 Jessica T. 1 year ago on Google
Some parts of the room didn't seem clean; there was pee on the doorknop at the toilet. It was also extremely noisy. We could hear neighbours from every side and even above us. Also not the best neighbourhood. We did get good check in service.

I was expecting worst after reading the reviews before traveling. It turned out better than my expectations. Yes, there are homeless people around that area & they were starting a fire to heat their body which I understand. I passed by there and they were just mind their own business.

  • 5/5 Aicca 1 year ago on Google
Perfect for me & my friends (3 of us). We stayed in a triple room which had a double bed and 1 single bed. Hotel itself is 5/5 for me as check in and check out was easy. Had no problem whatsoever with noise but not sure if that’s because we may not have had other people in the rooms next to us. There were towels in the room as well. Everything was clean & spotless. Location was not too bad, nearest metro was a 9 min walk although the environment near the hotel is quite dodgy especially when it gets dark so just make sure you have people with you when walking I’d suggest. We paid £8 each for breakfast. It was typical coffee, juice, croissants, toast which was ok for us as all we needed was coffee. I would suggest this for people who are planning to tour Paris on a budget and need somewhere to put their things and rest their heads for the night which is literally what we needed. We only stayed for 2 nights so I would suggest if your plan is similar to ours. 😊

After reading all of the reviews I didn’t know what to expect but I was positively surprised!!! The room was really clean and cleaned every day! The staff was really friendly and got us everything we needed. It wasn’t loud in our room and the sounds from the outside were barely heard. The outside of the hotel was quite clean and there was a place behind the fence that was dirty but it had nothing to do with the hotel itself. There is in fact bridge where people sit and have fire lit up but in the daylight it’s okay! We only took an Uber twice at night! Breakfasts weren’t too big but there was everything one can possibly need- sweet options and savoury options. I’d definitely come back 🥐

For the price you're paying, you can't complain. Staff is friendly, and will help you with anything you need. Breakfast was very poor, even for an ibis budget and for its price. The rooms are what you expect from ibis budget, but the location is bad, especially on Monday, when the streets are filled with police to try and chase the sellers of stolen goods away that literally set up shop here.

  • 1/5 keith a. 10 months ago on Google
Paris Garibaldi Ibis budget review Where do I start; there are budget hotels and then there’s this. If you don’t mind sleeping somewhere that’s marginally more comfortable than the noisy overpass that’s right across the road, then this is the place for you. That sounds a bit harsh because it is at least functional. It has a shower cubicle that’s slightly larger than that on a trident submarine, a separate toilet that’s about the same and a sink in the sleeping chamber which means that I only have to fall out of bed to brush my teeth as the square footage is similar to a cell on E wing at Wormwood Scrubs. If your favourite colours are a combination of white, yellow and blue and you’re a fan of cubism and dark doorways, you’re gonna love it. Facilities: Pool: No? Hairdryer: No? Turndown service: Make your own Air con: You can bet bottom dollar that there’s not a stitch of it so you can relish the still, sweaty heat but at least the windows open so you can contemplate your life choices as you lay awake in a room that’s bathed in non-stop traffic noise and beeping horns. Now let’s talk about location. It’s very handy if you don’t mind a 30-40 minute schlep on the metro from the centre but it has a very handy souk where you can pick up all kinds of goodies that you’ll palm off on your friends as thoughtful souvenirs but that will inevitably end up in a cupboard or a local charity shop. There are no bars in the vicinity, nowhere nice to eat and if you’re familiar with London, you’ll probably understand if I likened it to Harlesden! Overall, if I could give it less than one star, I would but alas.
