Horrible experience! We had a mouse in our room and there were bedbugs. I still have bites on my arms and legs! If you are already staying there, check and disinfect your luggage to be sure you don't bring those insects home!

The lady at the reception doesn't speak english, only french. Water was dripping from the light at reception.. Very small rooms that were dirty and there were cables hanging out of the wall everywhere! The mattress was moldy! The shower was also full of mold. the windows cannot be closed and are also full of dirt. This hotel is only good if youre there for one night otherwise I would recomend to search for another hotel

Very very dirty. Holes in the sheets. Not sure sheets were changed. Only one plug working in the whole rooms. Staff is either nice and in a good mood or not speaking french depending on who this is. But it still does the trick when you really need to sleep in this area

The recepcionist incredibly rude. Because she doesn't speak any language except french she mock costumers when trying to communicate with her. There was another guy in the reception (during nights) he was nice (even that he doesn't spoke english or spanish he was helpful). On other considerations, the hotel it is not good, the first night there was not light. The room was a little bit dirty. The location was just ok, not bad, not good. For the price look for other options.

DISGUSTING. Do not book in this hotel. The place is disgusting, dirty, service is bad. I called immediately for the booking informing that I wanted the cancellation without charge, therefore the hotel does not keep the minimum of cleaning. The bath towel was filthy. I had to leave immediately from the hotel, because it is Christmas Eve and I had to get a hotel to stay. This hotel charged me the value. Now I'm waiting for the booking to reimburse me.

This place is GREAT, I can't BELIEVE any negative reviews!!! I have been to Paris 7x, and lived in Bordeaux 15 yrs ago to teach. So I'm familiar with Parisienne hotels. I found the room very, very clean, including my private bath, concierge friendly and accommodating, and everything in general tip-top. It's sad that these ppl had something to complain about, I have NOTHING bad tosat. In fact, planningny next trip now 3 months later, for jan, and i dont want to stay anywhere else.

I don't like this hotel. The room heater wasn't heating properly that's why the room was so cold.

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay after a long day adventuring in Paris, this is the place. Friendly staff, awesome food around the corner, a bed to sleep on. You won’t get the bells and whistles here, but if you’re looking for a fancy hotel I’d stay closer to downtown. Otherwise this is the place to stay, it’s walkable to most tourist spots, but also close to a lot of metro stops if you are in a hurry.

Half decent "motel" which is sort of clean and has kind of a breakfast service. But then again, it's Paris, why the heck would you have breakfast at the motel anyways. Staff were okay and didn't hear people bangin away at night.

Disgusting hotel. When we arrived, the recepcionist gave to us the key of our room and, when we opened the door, the previous guests were still there. After that, she started to yelling us in French (the only language she speaks). In the last night, we found a cockroach in the room (the one in the picture).

I can t give 0 starts, but I would do it. Was the worse experience ever. When we got there, the hotel was closed and we had to wait and call them. Additionally, the person didn t talk English so we couldn t say anything... And it happen again another day, when we came back from eating. The hotel was closed.....i don t recomand it at all, I m sorry. But this is unacceptable!!!! The personal bussines has to be solved during their free time, not when the hotel should be open. Ideal it s not, for sure. I couldn t stop if I have to say about the noise in the street, the cleaning and the neighborhood, that s pretty far and awful.

The room was comfy; the floor, the bed and the bathroom were clean, the doors could have been cleaner. They made the beds every day and changed the towels, a medium-sized one per person. The toiletries consisted of a bar of soap per person. The staff was very kind and helpful. The location is good. I suggest you reach the Hotel from Parmentier through Rue Oberkampf and Rue Saint Maur, where you can find a supermarket and a great number of cafes, bars and pubs.

Do not recommend, moldy and dirty rooms, windows didn't close, unfriendly personal and no one spoke English

The worst hotel I have ever been to. The name "Ideal" is a joke.

Far from the center but that is not the problem. The entire place is traumatising, the smell like is after a long dead person, the rooms are disgusting and horrible dirty I just ran out.

Bed bugs present, hotel staff were unhelpful. No refund without waiving cancellation charge so we received only 20 euro back. General cleanliness was not up to standard. When questioned on why they wouldn't give a refund they said they didn't fill the room so couldn't refund. It would worry me that they were putting someone in a room where bed bugs had just been found.

Not sure why some of the reviews are so horrible. It’s an easy place to stay, especially for my girlfriend and I who were doing work in Paris for a few days. Yes the workers do not speak much English but they were nice, funny and a good host. In terms of being “locked out”, my girlfriend and I came back late (12.30ish), rang the bell on the side and the host opened the door in less than 30secs. I would say it is not the best place to go if you are planning on staying there for a long period of time and if you are planning on spending more time in the hotel than outside. It was a place to sleep and very nice people, I recommend!
