Beautiful museum that’s quite hidden! You don’t need to buy ahead, you can just go there and buy there (no queue when we were there). There’s a beautiful garden and a wonderful house with various sculptures and artwork. Recommend! Pros: - Beautiful sculptures - Garden you can chill at - Cafe inside - Don’t need to buy tickets ahead - Not too crowded Cons: - Not the nicest toilets - No AC

One of most important museums in Paris and a must to visit. Small and cozy with amazing gardens with sculptures. Great art collection. The temporary Picasso-Rodin exhibition was very interesting! I spent approximately 4 hours there, there are a lot to see!! If you book tickets online you don’t have to wait… recommended 👍🏻 The souvenir shop is also very interesting.. the prices are a bit overpriced Overall the museum a must! Amazing!! Highly recommend to visit this place when in Paris. I was thoroughly impressed by how much impressive work Rodin has competed. The Museum did such a good job displaying different medium of work through out. It was super nice to have such a huge garden display as well. It was really nice to be able to get the ticket with open date. Super helpful to come here spontaneously without having to worry having to go on a specified date.

Musée Rodin offers a captivating blend of art and nature in the heart of Paris. The museum's highlight is undoubtedly its enchanting garden, where iconic sculptures by Auguste Rodin are set against a backdrop of lush greenery. The serene atmosphere and carefully curated placement of sculptures create a harmonious experience, allowing visitors to appreciate the masterpieces in a tranquil outdoor setting. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful escape, Musée Rodin's garden is a delightful oasis that complements the sculptor's renowned works inside the museum.

Superb museum. The estate really transports you out of the city into somewhere off on the countryside. The museum truly shows how great and prolific an artist Rodin was at his time. Some rooms show the progress of creation without being overly explanatory, maintaining the coherence and beauty of the space. Some of the lighting is a tad heavy on the warm tone side. Make sure to estimate at least 30 minutes to spend on the gardens. Loved it!

Rodin Museum is located a short distance from the Eiffel Tower. A visit to Paris would be incomplete without just seeing the Eiffel Tower. So it should also be seen.... The Musee Rodin's sculptures may be the main attraction, but his paintings, sketches and ceramics are also worth a visit. Three stars because the museum is great, a haven of peace in the heart of Paris. Not so crowded, the gardens are great, the museum is beautiful. Although there is not enough space to sit inside the building, it is very hot inside, the wind was unbearable. But you won't miss the ground. The seven-acre garden showcases Rodin's work in a stunning natural setting. The perfect harmony of this garden, built around the new visitor circuit between Rodin's monument and the Hotel Biron, will make you want to stay in Paris. I enjoyed myself..beautiful place and decorated with sculptures. To me it is super museum.

Fascinating place with extensive pieces by Rodin and his peers. Beautifully displayed in well maintained peaceful gardens. Also had an interesting Gormley exhibition which contrasted well with the Another Place.

The museum is beautiful; it was one of my favorites in Paris. It boasts stunning gardens, sculptures, and paintings. It is reasonably priced, and one can easily spend three hours exploring its treasures.

Unbelievable collection of Rosina finest work in a beautiful garden setting. Go for the sculptures but fall in love with the roses. The gardens are perfect. The Gates of Hell is unbelievable… like the worst nightmare come to life.

A beautiful museum for a beautiful day. Tucked away near Les Invalides, it's easy to leave this museum off your "must-see" list, but it's definitely worth a visit. Both the house and gardens are full of Rodin's fascinating art and sculptures. Will be coming back in Spring/Summer to see how the gardens have bloomed!

Peaceful spaced out Rodin museum. Buying tickets on site was straightforward, €13 per person. The garden was beautiful, but the statues weren't well maintained, leftover rain in some cavities and a lot of spider webs. The marble collection was in an inaccessible room and better preserved I suppose. The interior collection was very interesting, but the building doesn't have AC and they had left scattered fans in some of the rooms. In late September, it was starting to get unbearable after an hour spent inside, I can't imagine how warm it would be visiting the museum in July or August. Overall a must-visit for art appreciaters.

Beautiful garden. Honestly I'd pay the money just to appreciate how serene and calm the garden is. You also have nice chairs to sit and relax and read a book and have the opportunity to not use your phone and truly disconnect. The building also looks beautiful from the outside. The art wasn't super exciting though. I would go but for the gardens. See pics 😁.

What a beautiful museum! It's an emotional rollercoaster of captivating bronze sculptures of misery and suffering especially Dante's hell, into grand rooms filled with beautiful faces, romance, love and kisses. The rooms were aligned in a chronological order showcasing the artist's journey from a struggling artist to overwhelming fame. The halls are easy to navigate and intuitive. I enjoyed the audio guide, especially that most of the sculptures inside don't have explanations nor backgrounds, only titles! Although the museum is in the heart of Paris, the garden is quiet and charming. I was able to do a full tour in 2 hours.

One of my favorite museums in Paris. The garden is a gorgeous place to relax before or after visiting the museum, and the exhibition is amazing! Unfortunately, a good chunk of the garden was under construction when I visited, but it did not take much away from the experience. One thing I did mind was that it was sweltering inside the museum, which made me uncomfortable enough to rush through much of the exhibit. A few more fans or some sort of air conditioning would be great.

Amazing museum and exquisitely curated. Particularly a fan of the Rodin-Piccaso exhibition (2021). They do a great job showing the connection between these two different but paralleled artists. The audio guide is worth getting because Rodin had a great story, of which I knew nothing before going here. Yes, the Kiss and The Thinker are both here, but make sure you stop by the Gates to Hell. That was my personal favorite.

I had a great experience during my visit to this museum. What I loved the most about it was that I could explore at my own pace without having to deal with crowds. Although I visited in December, so I'm not sure if it's always like that. I was expecting to see only Rodin's work, but I was pleasantly surprised to find some beautiful pieces by Van Gogh and Monet as well. The gardens are also very beautiful and full of great pieces of art. I recommend this experience to every art lover.

Medium size museum with Rodin's sculptures inside and around the garden. Perfect to spend 1-2 hours especially with cafe onsite. I didn't buy a ticket in advance and got in easily on a Saturday afternoon.

It is an underrated museum, I visited on a saterday and it wasn't crowded at all. This museum shows the masterpieces of Rodin and artwork of some other artists. Even if you're not that much into sculptures, you should visit. The people at the cloakroom were super friendly and helpful . It's not a really big museum, if you want to see everything 1h-1h30 would be enough. The shop at the end has nice things and isn't overpriced. You could best visit when the weather is good because you also need to see the gardens.

A great museum in which to study, you'll see many artists roaming with their sketchbooks. It's a medium-sized museum for Paris, you could see everything in 90 minutes but you could also spend 6 hours if you stop to appreciate everything. Worth visiting for sure, but I've docked one star because the audio guide doesn't line up with the museum pieces. About 20% aren't on display. I've docked another star because you should time your visit to leave at 6. Though Google says 6:30, docents begin asking folks to leave at 6. They're quite insistent, and it's rather awkward when you check your watch to see that everyone should have another half hour. It leaves one feeling a little disappointed with the museum, especially when the light is perfect for photographing the sculptures in what should be the last half hour of the publicly stated hours.

Probably my most favorite activity and museum in Paris. The rose garden at the entrance is sublime. Stroll the peaceful gardens and see all of Rodin's beautiful and large bronze sculptures in the garden. Go inside to see mostly sculptures in marble. Not far from Rue Grenelle for those who want to shop at the incredible boutiques on this street!

A fantastic museum to visit. So much artwork to be seen indoors and also in the beautiful garden. I enjoyed a one on one tour with a Viator guide. This guide was remarkable and was well with the price. I learned a wealth of information.

A nice place to visit - like the name says: mostly with art of Rodin, but also a bit of Camille Claudel and a few amazing paintings from Van Gogh and Munch. The building is very beautiful and the garden as well. There is a little bistro inside the garden to rest in the shades and enjoy a drink

Great museum! I always visit it whenever I come to Paris. Apart from the exhibitions, explore the romantic history between Claudel and Rodin. Museum’s garden is magnificent and peaceful! Such a relaxing place to sit and ponder while enjoying a glass of wine surrounded by Rodin’s aura

I enjoyed this museum much more than I thought I would, despite not knowing much about Rodin other than The Thinker. The main draw here is obviously The Thinker, but really the whole complex and gardens are wonderful. The gardens alone I could admire all day. Most of the pieces inside were quite nice too, with a few odd exceptions that I'll let you find for yourselves. The wonder of this place is that you could spend as little or as much time here as you want and get what you wanted. We also were here during a joint Rodin / Picasso exhibit which was interesting to see. Lastly, know that not every single piece in here is Rodin's, some of it was stuff from other artists that was in his personal collection. One nice surprise was the couple of Van Gogh paintings. I'd return here if we come back to Paris.

My absolute favorite in Paris! The building and garden itself is worth visiting and the exhibited sculptures are divine. If you buy ticket at box office it’s 13€, online 14€, because you get to skip the line. Although today at around 15.00 they’re was no queue and not crowded inside. There’s a cafe in the garden for refreshments and coffee.

Very interesting, I liked each sculpture and the garden was beautiful. The audioguides explain everything with detail. It’s free every first Sunday of the month 🙌🏼 And there are two Van Goghs in there!! 🥹

What a beautiful place, I loved the combination of seeing some of the statues in the park and others inside. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was no line, so I bought the ticket on the spot. The park felt like a peaceful oasis amidst bustling Paris. And of course the statues are spectacular, especially the contrast of the dark bronze and the bright marble pieces. The interior of the buildings is preserved beautifully, which makes the visit even more magical.

I came to view the Antony Gormley exhibition which was beautifully and thoughtfully curated and integrated within the Rodin pieces. A beautiful and easy museum to stroll around and the gardens, despite the rain and the cold, were really pleasing and relaxing. Staff were friendly and there wasn’t too many people inside making it an enjoyable visit (I came just 90 minutes before closing time)

One of the best museums to visit in Paris. There was no wait and we got through the security check really quickly. The Thinking Man is the first sculpture in the garden which was a treat! There is an area for kids to create art and the store has lots of souvenirs that you can purchase. It's closed on Monday's but open on Tuesday when most of the other museums are closed. We visited on Tuesday and enjoyed our time viewing the inside and outside of the museum.

Beautiful grounds to stroll around, especially earlier in the morning when there is less people. There is a lot of artwork to see in the house as well. I think I spent about an hour inside and an hour outside. I took my time reading the descriptions for all the statues outdoors. It was nice to see a yoga class going on in the back of the garden as well, something to look into next time I’m in Paris.

  • 5/5 Fiona D. 2 months ago on Google • 4 reviews New
Not sure if it was the point but I thought the Antony Gormley exposition was hilarious. Musée Rodin was beautiful, as always, I would however recommend visiting the permanent expositions when the gardens are in full bloom. The atmosphere is fun when you can see people drawing the statues and reading outside.

Amazing experience. I have had “the thinker” in my life for as long as I can remember. It was a wedding gift to my parents and I still have it to this day. A very powerful visit. I hope to be able to return someday, such an amazing body of work!

All I have to say is wow! This is the best type of museum in that the art is not displayed on plain white walls. Each room is a beauty of its own with the detailed architecture, immense ceilings and windows, that have a constant view of the gardens. Learning that this was the original place that Rodin chose to display his art made it all the more meaningful. I visited before the roses were in bloom but for sure if you come when they are in season it would be even more magical.

  • 5/5 Stephen G. 6 months ago on Google
Rodin was tre prolific. Never realized just how many gone arts he was into. The original thinker is here and it's magnificent.. Two floors of eye-popping art. And the building is one he lived in while producing some of his be works. This is a must stop when in Paris.

Gorgeous museum. It was raining on the day we went and very humid. The staff had placed fans around the property to stir the air. This was wonderful and very much appreciated. The museum is incredible, as well as the grounds. The gift shop was a bit overpriced on clothing, which was disappointing. The museum and property were both well managed overall.

Amazing garden full of his sculptures. Very peaceful environment with benches and chairs in the back. You can take a nap on or read a book (I did both), since the tickets are free for up to 25y Olds and there is no limit of time you can spend there. Pieces inside the building were mostly less inspiring, little versions of the sculptures outside, but still 100% worth viewing. Some van Gogh pieces in the building, which are sublime imo.

Rodin is one of the most famous sculptors of the modern era, and the Rodin museum is a gem in Paris rich panoply of museums. One of the best aspects is the spacious and cool sculptor garden, a welcome sanctuary on a hot day. The two storey building provides an immersion into Rodin's work. They have also made the venue friendly to children.

  • 5/5 Marissa W. 7 months ago on Google
Great audio guide full of interesting anecdotes about the sculptor and location, thoughtful layout and curation. Seems obvious but Rodin’s work really does come alive in person. The garden alone is a wonderful visit. This, along with Carnavalet, is one of my favorite museums in Paris.

  • 5/5 Cynthia O. 7 months ago on Google
Probably third time visit and always enjoy. Outdoors garden is best to start, take in slowly. Indoors museum well laid out, English explanation is limited and suggest getting the audioguide for first-timers.

  • 5/5 Harlan B. 6 months ago on Google
What a nice departure from the more popular museums. The Rodin Museum chronicles many pieces of his work. Many are casts done by his students, as originals are in other museums. This does not take away from the awe and incredulous sculptures. The garden area is tranquil and filled with bronze sculptures. The hotel Carrie’s many pieces big and small. You’ll see examples of how Rodin started his ideas from smaller models to the completed work. The entire facility is self-funded. Buying a ticket, having them rent out the facility and donations keep this place running. You will enjoy this gem if you have an appreciation for Rodin and what he accomplished.

Really enjoyed this museum. I would not call it a must do, but on a nice day the gardens are well worth a walk around with the thinker and other fine statues to enjoy. Inside of the house you get a walk through the journey and life of Rodin's work. Its well worth going to see. We did a double ticket with Musee d'Orsay and wlaked between the two - great value.

A must see place for sculpture lovers. Even if you aren't familiar with many of Rodin's work, after the visit you will. And you will love them. You can keep your backpack, etc. at the entrance. A pleasant atmosphere for those who appreciate art.

Honestly I felt this place was overrated, although I'm not a huge art/sculpture person. The sculptures were very odd, perhaps I don't appreciate or understand. But I found it rather boring, although some sculptures were interesting and the grounds were beautiful. I would rather visit other museums in Paris before this one.

It's the tranquil grounds that make this place so uniquely alluring in the heart of Paris. The building is grand and packed with Rodin's work but feels a bit cramped. Maybe it's just the contrast with the exterior.

We got combined tickets with Musee d’Orsay and it was totally worth it. The museum is just stunning, there is something so beautiful about the way art is displayed in the rooms and the architecture of the place adds to the charm. Plus with the museum being not too busy at the end of winter, we felt we could experience the art away from crowds. The gardens are something you could spend some quiet moments in even though you are right in the middle of the city. We spent about an hour and a half and enjoyed our visit very much!

This is one of the most beautiful museums in Paris. White the purchase of your ticket you have access to the garden and the Hotel Biron where the exhibit pieces are held. One of Auguste Rodin's most famous pieces is here the statue of "The Thinker." Composed of an 18th-century mansion (Hotel Biron) and a sculpture garden of almost three hectares, the museum houses the sculptures of Rodin. The perfect harmony of the sculpture garden and the charm of the rockery architecture of its Hotel Biron will make your visit a unique moment of your stay in Paris. Entrance ticket price: 12€ and closed on Mondays. **Free (permanent collections and garden only) on the first Sunday of each month, from October 1 to March 31.** If you looking to make a list of museums to visit this is a must. I would highly recommend. One of m favorite places in Paris.

Really nice museum with many sculptures by Rodin (both inside and outside). It even has a few paintings by Van Gogh and others. The outside is a very nice garden. The only warning is that the indoor portion can get very very hot (not air conditioned) and while there are fans in all the rooms, the air circulation is not great (I was also there when it was 40 Celsius though).

If you are going to museums in Paris, put this on your list. A great spot for an hour or two to experience some beautiful sculptures. It wasn't as good as the Borghese in Rome, but still an experience worthwhile!

As we've been to the bigger museums before, we decided to check out the Musée Rodin for the sculpture garden. It was nice and relaxing to walk around the gardens. Of course the best part was people watching - some kid had a blast poking every crevasse of the sculptures with a stick. The inside of the museum wasn't as impressive as the gardens, but still a nice short visit for a lazy afternoon

The staff here were THE NICEST from any museum I encountered whilst in Paris - they were so friendly and welcoming, one man in particular was just so lovely he made our day! Really enjoyed this museum. It's just the right size and I really loved the sculpture garden. There were flowers just starting to blossom and it was a beautiful day. But it's nice to have most of the museum outside. An hour or two and you've completed it. We arrived just as it opened and that was also nice as only a few others were there for that first half hour.
