We did the rafting & caving tour, which was an awesome full day tour. Paul was a great instructor! He was so patient with us and calmed our nerves when we were nervous. Money well spent! Highly recommend.

I'm not surprised that the Adventure Merchants have an overall rating of 4.9 stars. They definitely do provide a wonderful adventure experience to their customers. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to the Yarra Range for White Water Rafting. It was the second time I had ever done it, and I really enjoyed rafting along the river, and doing the rapids. I only wish there were more rapids and that it went for longer. But I suppose that only means I'll need to go again and try a more difficult level of rapids! Thank you also to our friendly and informative instructor.

My husband and I chose to celebrate our birthdays with a Whitewater rafting adventure, and it turned out to be an exceptional decision. Guided by our phenomenal host, Paul, our group of 26 embarked on a thrilling journey down the river. The combination of the river's natural beauty and the exhilaration of the ride as well as all the laughs we had along the way made it a day we'll never forget. Fantastic afternoon kayaking the rapids of the Yarra. Often tours are made or broken by the guide and I can say that Paul was awesome. Highly recommend and I'll certainly be going back to try another adventure

Went on the guided whitewater kayaking trip yesterday & had a great time. Instructor was 11/10. Very funny, personable & great to talk to. Did a great job of leading everyone through the difficult sections of the river, but also did not "over-guide." He gave us plenty of time to paddle around & enjoy the quiet & scenery, which I really appreciated, as sometimes you miss out on that aspect during a guided group trip. The section of river we did was beautiful, enough rapids to be fun, but not anything terrifying- so perfect for beginners & intermediate level paddle jockeys (or whatever kayak people call themselves)... Definitely would recommend! Awesome day, but you shoud've added more water to the river, Paul! Hahahaha

Caving at Yarra Junction was a great experience. Paul was polite, very experienced and helped at every step. Cant wait to book in the next adventure with him.

Paul is an amazing instructor.The experience was well-organised, lots of fun, with lots of jokes and ability to improve not only your rowing, but your teamwork and communication skills. At first I thought I'm gonna regret it because it's grade 1-2 rapids but Paul's professionalism made the adventure top-notch. The event was very well organized and he made sure everyone especially those newbies are well prepared by carefully briefing everyone beforehand. First of all I wanna thank paul and his team for the amazing thrilling and enjoyable white water rafting experience. I arrived at the river terrified and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Me and my husband had a great fun learning how to paddle in the right direction as it was our our first time doing this. Paul and his colleague was always behind us guiding us through the entire time and they were super friendly and made the experience more memorable. I took my mum white water kayaking for her 50th birthday with these guys and it was such a great experience. The instructors were great, super helpful with how to run the rapids, and they also were the perfect mix of safety oriented with a lot of fun vibes. It was so well organised and they really made it a great day. The area itself is so scenic and gorgeous with a lot of natural beauty to admire. Though the rapids aren’t to big they do provide a little thrill as you try to navigate them. The water levels were high when we went but none the less it was still a fun ride. Would recommend this tour group for anyone wanting to go out on a thrill ride down the Yarra and am keen to check out more of what they offer adventure wise around Victoria.

I booked the white water kayaking experience for a group of 15. Paul was really quick and friendly to answer all my questions. The day felt really friendly, relaxing, and open to our differing levels of experience. Would highly recommend!!

Good day, water being very low made it quite challenging , great staff . An in action photo option to buy after would be a great addition to the day if people don’t have their own waterproof equipment.

We went whitewater kayaking with the Adventure Merchants and had a terrific time. They were safe, and gave clear instructions but kept it fun and engaging. Take your friends and go whitewater rafting with The Adventure Merchants. I hear they do caving too.

Rafting on the Yarra, The experience was awesome, I have done some kayaking before and our group was a mixture of newbies to more experienced people, everyone loved it and had an awesome time, thanks to both Paul and Kate the instructors who made it an amazing day to remember, I will be booking more activities with them soon,

My friends and I have booked several activities and enjoyed them all, and is why we keep trying others on offer. Paul keeps great communication leading up to the activities and made the caving really enjoyable too. We have tried kayaking, caving, rock climbing and Abseiling. Our recent rock climbing and Abseiling instructor, Adam was fantastic. Professional, experienced, calm and pleasant to spend the day with. We also loved Henry, his dog companion that joined us on the day, a great addition for the nervous group members too. He was also very patient and calm with the two 18 year old's who were not a fan of heights, and was able to assist them to challenge themselves. He was perfect, and couldn't ask for more.

We participated in the caving experience at Yarra Junction. Our tour guide name was Paul he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Paul was the most responsive when making reservations and very helpful - his response time was within minutes typically! We had one person who felt to uncomfortable and they were great the provide us with a voucher for another experience at a later date. The caving was just as explained, we saw glow worms and cave crickets and definitely got muddy and wet. Wonderful experience and if ever back in the area would use this company again.

Exhilarating, hilarious good fun. Bonus photos for memories to keep forever. Not for those who want a sanitised experience or like to stay in their comfort zones, don't dress up, you actually have to put in effort to reap the rewards of adventure caving. Easy-going guide with very dry sense of humour, he subtly motivates you and helps build up your courage to attempt something out of the ordinary.

Had such an amazing day white water rafting and caving. By far the caving would have to be my favourite, seeing the glow worms in the cave and squeezing through tight places was quite the thrilling adventure i wanted. Went caving today with our guide Paul, was awesome as we had never done anything like this before. I managed to squeeze through all of the hard to fit places that were optional including "The Birth Canal" which was very very small and such a good feeling to get through. Would do again!!

What an awesome adventure! Paul and Kate made the day wonderful. The equipment was of the best quality and the professional instruction made me feel safe and capable. Even though I was the only lone traveller, both Paul and Kate made me feel really involved (even made sure I got photos). Don't think for a moment you are beyond the excitement of whitewater rafting.... just do it!
