Popped to a restaurant in San Sebastián for lunch but it was closed. A local recommended we go to Le Cottage. Didn’t know it but it was a 5 minute drive, so decided to try it. So glad we did. Stopped there asked if they allowed dogs, which they did, so we went in. A really lovely, eclectic decor, lots of bears! Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Ordered salad starters, which were huge, fresh and good. Main courses were steak and trout. Really fresh and extremely were cooked. Crème brûlée, ice cream and a Charlotte for desserts. All excellent. Will definitely be going back. A great find.

You will find the Le Cottage open each and every day. Only closing for a short break after lunch hours. The bar restaurant is kept warm which match their welcoming service. Just to sit and have a beer is interesting as the space is cosy with teddy bears all over the bar and eating areas. They are very helpful and are willing to fit their service to fit yout needs. Even if it a plater of chips to just satisfy the munches.

Lovely little place, took my mum there for lunch whilst she is visiting and it didn’t disappoint. Very nice will be going again

A wonderful celebratory meal with friends in a delightful atmosphere. Staff very attentive. Definitely somewhere to return to especially as they open 7/7 and are so local to us.

Great food and hospitality. Well worth a detour

We were looking for a restaurant for lunch while driving from Paris to Toulouse after the Christmas holidays. We didn't want a sandwich from the gas station. Many restaurants were closed due to the holidays as it was on the 27th December. We decided to stop in a "village d'étape" in Egouzon near Limoges. There is plenty of parking space in front of the restaurant. We were seated quickly. There is a bar, a cosy seating area for drinks, or a cup of tea like in a cottage and a very cottage ambience. We had a seat by the window. Since we didn't have much time, we had a dish each. I had a "bavette" a flank steak while my partner had the "pièce de boucher" (butcher's cut). The meat was tender and delicious. With a 50cl pitch of red and 2 coffees, all for 40€. We were happy with our meal and got back on the "autoroute" without much fuss.
