Needed a 4th of July hike and this place was perfect. I had no idea it was here! Beautiful campsites, a few fishing holes and lots of shaded parts along the loop. I believe it's about 5.8 miles long. I hear camping is free here. Didn't confirm but I think this spot would be wonderful and spacious for camping.

It was really pretty. You can hear a lot of the traffic from 52, but it's really pretty and a decent amount of native plants. It's definitely a great way to spend an afternoon

Great place to camp, relax, fish and get away. Downfall is the bathroom. It's enclosed yes but smells pretty bad and isn't the cleanest and be sure to bring your own toilet paper. 😆 They do have a old fashion hand pump well (very cool) to get water, otherwise no running water. Overall it's a beautiful place and kinda secluded which we found to be a plus, as it is not over crowded or over traveled. This is the closest to natural nature you can get in the area. Home to a few interesting fish and alligators too. We will definitely visit again. 🌲🏞️🐟🐊🐢🦝🐰

Nice equestrian camping. Large sites but lots of horse manure in the camp sites. (No one seems to want to shovel). Nice trails. Watch where you walk!

Staying at end of the month July and digging it. Great shaded areas, level parking, good cell reception, clean porta potties, beautiful area. And a Publics grocery just out the gate. Picnic areas tables and fire rings. Very nice can only book for a week at a time. Wish I could stay and relax for two.

The eastern portion of the trail is not well marked and overgrown. Make sure you bring a map or trail program with you. Be prepared to walk through waist high weeds and grasses. Didn’t see or hear much wildlife on this trip.

We hiked very little of this area due to water and some road construction where they have closed portions of the preserve. I will certainly go back as there is a great deal of area you can cover and we did enjoy how untouched a lot of the areas looked. We were somewhat lost and could not get the maps to match to anything we were hiking, that might be just user error, but we are typically pretty good with these things. Better signage would be a real plus. Otherwise, very natural space, no crowds and the campers looked to be enjoying the spot. It would be great to camp and hike. We did several miles and did not even get a small portion of ground covered.

Very nice trails, but not clearly marked. Be sure to have downloaded the map or have a GPS tracker going. Bring plenty of water and snacks, as this can easily turn into an 8 or 10 mile hike. Also recommend bug spray for some areas where you may or may not be attacked in full force. I was out here for short of 3 hours and only encountered one human with his furry friend. Seen a snake, an alligator and plenty of birds. Definitely worth a visit. I will be back visiting the remainder of trails and areas I was unable to travel on food today. Also recommend hiking shoes as the grounds change continually from concrete, to gravel, to sand, to dirt and can be muddy in some places.

The Serenova tract site is really quite nice. We spent three days there, and we definitely enjoyed our time there. You will hear quite a bit of road noise, as this area is right beside a main road, but not enough we couldn't sleep. We were under a beautiful oak canopy, there was a clean Handicap accessible port-a-potty. My Biggest reason for three stars, is because while we were there, most sites were empty, but when you go to make a reservation, they're all reserved for months. I think first come first serve would work much better, because these sites are empty and unoccupied. Yet, when we attempted to help a friend find a spot, no availability at all.

We had a great first time going for a hike hete. The trails were well kept and the preserve is lovely. We saw lots of birds, butterflies, turtles, tortoises and wildflowers and even found some blackberries. We saw about 8 people riding horses here also. I look forward to going to this hiking trail again! It is also free

Amazing place to distress your mind amd connect with nature. You don't hear noise other than birds and small insects. You can look as far as you can and all you see is nature. I rode my bicycle for almost 3 hours round trip and at times I felt like I was lost but there are plenty of signs to help you remember the way back. Highlly recommend to ride a mountain bike because the grass is high and sandy areas make it hard on a normal bike. There are lakes, swamp, and large wooded areas.

Very cool trail. Interesting terrain plants, and wildlife. Betrayal seems pretty popular with lots of parking and people hiking or biking.

Well.. The Campground is Beautiful. Can hear traffic from the Equestrian camp sites.. other campers are friendly... but then Nature Called. Went into the pit toilet building and boom.... all the sudden, I no longer needed to poo.. I'm not one for a weak stomach.. but it appears the Park Rangers do Not do their jobs. The crapper needs a Steam Cleaning! Completely Unacceptable by any standard! The crapper needs a grenade! It's that bad!

The oaths are well labeled. It is quiet. There is primative camping and equine camping. Reservations are required but the camping is free. There is a porta let bathroom. No water on campsites. There is a river near by. When I went there were 3 campers total for both areas.

I love this nature preserve! Beautiful camping spots. Miles and miles of hiking trails, freshwater fishing and horseback riding allowed. The park is also dog friendly and is an excellent place to bird watch. I've seen migratory passerine, wading birds, and birds of prey all in one beautiful hike.

The trail was not clearly marked but it gave us a chance to test out navigation skills! If you're hiking on a road under power lines you're doing it wrong

Excellent boondocking experience. Nice area, not crowded. Perfect weather. Publix and a few restaurants a short walk out of the woods. Nice long trails and some road noise. A safe, clean experience. Cell service strong. Lots of downed tree debris to start a fire.

👍👍 I went there together free food and I have to say the grounds are well kept. The staff keep the grass mowed and the trash is picked up. When I was there one Thursday there was a stray dog around and one of the staff pick him up and as far as as I know took him home. It made my day to see some one h...

😐 It was pretty good, my friend and I went with a groupon. They limit each tour to around 20 people. I didn't hear or see anything about requiring masks but the group stayed fairly distanced from exhibit to exhibit. The leopard was the best. It was too cold to see the tortoises because they were in th...
