This was a nice way to spend an evening and I am glad we did it. A few things to note: 1) until the sun goes down, there’s really not much to do other than socialize and watch the sun go down 2) we upgraded to the terrace when we arrived and I am glad we did because we would have had a really boring wait from 7:30-9:30 if we hadn’t had a table to sit at and enjoy the sunset 3)if you are only going for the lights, get there closer to 8:30 (midsummer) 4)per the server at dinner elsewhere, doing pay for the charcuterie boards…they are expensive and prepackaged 5)there was a food truck so if you want to eat there, there are options 6)the terrace also had bathrooms and it’s own bar (airstream) 7)take your time walking through the main light area and be sure to get to the light towers and other two light exhibits. The light towers section has music which was lovely. 8)it can cool down at night during the summer so bring a light sweater or wrap just in case 9)there is a brief security check when you first arrive after parking. Enjoy the low key but beautiful experience. I think it’s worth visiting once.

We were on the way from Las Vegas to Bay Area during the Christmas break and planned to visit here at the last minute, so we did not buy any tickets in advance (they were all sold out). So I emailed them and checked if we can walk-in and they responded back that we can walk-in to purchase tickets by 5 pm (they open at 4.30 for public to enter). There was a line when we came exactly at 5 pm but not much rush, we had to wait for 10 minutes or so, and then we were let inside. No snacks or water bottles allowed inside. The place was Magical. There were food trucks and the VIP section had heaters and chairs to sit around. We walked around and first finished the light tower section which is very beautiful. We waited till sunset and clicked several pictures. We were told by the staff not to use flash while taking pictures. All in all an unforgettable experience.

Great Experience! We tried to go many times but it was sold out so this time we decided to buy general admission tickets on site- which was the best answer. There is live music and food trucks which makes the environment more inviting and fun! You get to walk around the entire light show display and see the new additions. There are plenty of benches along the pathways, the pathways are narrow at times but big enough for a wheelchair or a stroller. Take as long as you want and do you want. Take as many pictures as you want just no flash. Would highly recommend going around sunset.

Beautiful attraction. I am glad we came. There is a path to walk through the exhibit. There are many opportunities to take lovely pictures. I especially recommend taking advantage of some of the benches along the path. My bf paid extra for the VIP seating area, which had a fire pit and nice seats overlooking the area. That was overpriced and unnecessary. I recommend getting the cheapest ticket and then enjoying the views from the benches along the trail.

What a stunning display! The artist has created a breathtaking experience. The best part is you can walk through the light fields and it feels so magical. They are pretty strict about the security while entering. Inside there’s some food options and wine 🍷 you can buy tickets online or try your luck with the general admission tickets on spot!

The lights were very nice. However don't come early if you come when it is still light outside you are waiting for it to get dark before they turn on the lights. The light towers are small but arguably look just as good as the light field. There is some food and drink available for purchase but I didn't purchase any. There are metal detectors at the front don't know why but ok :) Overall great experience just come when it is dark to avoid standing around.

This is a beautiful serene experience. As the sun goes down and the lights glow it is magical. Gorgeous view of the hills and trees and the lights are simply stunning. Even though there will be other people there you can totally appreciate the beauty and feel comfortable. Paths are well lit and easy to walk. There was music, nice lawn space, tables, and food/drink vendors. Bathroom was very clean as well- a huge + !

It was a wonderful and fun experience. I came here w/ 2 guy friends and we noticed there were many couples and how this may not be suitable for 3 guys! Simply beautiful and amazing! You are in awe at how beautiful it looks and wonder how they were able to put it together- so artistic and creative. Tip to keep in mind is to buy tickets in advance and pay more so your are able to sit by the fire pits and tables to relax and wait for sun to go down. It's worth the extra money to not have to worry about where to sit. Also you get to use the more clean less people going bathrooms! Food truck food was great so we didn't have to get food before or after coming here! I would definitely come back!

Beautiful and peaceful experience. Definitely worth the time. Would recommend going a little closer to sunset. We went early and had to wait a bit for the sun to set and for the lights to be at full brightness but no complaints. Very enjoyable and relaxing with amazing views. Also some food and drink options on the grounds if it’s late and local restaurants are closed.

Great place to appreciate art. Arrived at the lounging area before it got dark. The area was comfortable and inviting with games, food and drink for sale, benches and restrooms and live entertainment. A path lead to the valley where the display was. A VIP area had a great view of the whole valley if you want to just appreciate it from a distance. Mesmerizing as night set in and the valley lit up with slowly changing lights. Paths lead you into the valley where you're immersed in the sea of light. Not too crowded because of multiple paths that you can explore. You can soak it in on benches along and above the whole valley. Might be good place to rest due to the length and incline of the paths. Another side path takes you to the Towers. If you want to immortalize the experience make sure your camera has good night vision and the flash is off. Absolutely blinding when someone's flash goes off.

Paso Sensorio was a fun experience that I would gladly re-visit. Our family of 5 went on a Friday evening around 7pm. It was close to sunset which allowed us to enjoy the gradual and impressive glow of the light exhibit. It is hard not to spoil this experience when photos are all over Google (and this review :)) but I assure you it's worth it to view in person. Parking is a breeze and the staff are friendly. Restrooms are clean and there is even a small cafe with food and drinks. Go on a clear night and witness the moon above rolling hills of changing fields of light...kids and adults will love it! PS…Paso Robles is also a lovely town to enjoy if you want to make a weekend trip out of Sensorio!

Really enjoyed our evening! Was nice to arrive before the lights came on, giving a different perspective. As the sun set, the hills came alive and it's a beautiful sight! The new Fly Fishing and Fireflies area is really well done! There are various tiers of tx. We did general and it was perfect. They have food trucks, drinks, a little gift truck, Firepits and seating areas, plus great restrooms! Highly recommend. It does get chili at night and it's a good idea to wear good walking shoes, some of the paths are totally dark.

It was absolutely beautiful. As you walk in you have the option of sitting down to enjoy some food and music or going straight into the field of lights. There's a couple of food places and one that offers drinks. There's also a place that sells shirts, sweatshirts, etc. I recommend walking the path prior to it being dark. It's a nice view while the sun goes down. Plus you can choose a seat a long the pathway there is plenty to choose from along the path. When you reach the towers, there's a cute little area where to relax and enjoy a drink. I was just there this October and it was quite chilly. I highly recommend taking layers and a jacket. There are seats with heaters available on a first come first serve basis or you can pay for VIP and definitely have one that looks over the lights. Enjoy!

Stunning way to end a beautiful day in Paso Robles. For visiting with family, go for basic tickets and plan to snack near the food trucks. If your with your special someone, the VIP experience is 100% worth the up-charge for the overlook seating at the fire pits and special access to the event bar. Also - time your visit to arrive when they open the gates. We arrived closer to sunset and I think we missed some of the experience watching the sun dip low over the hills before the lights come up. Will definitely be returning here many times. Loved it!

We arrived early enough for a sunset overlooking the yet-to-be-visible field of lights. It wasn't as organized as I would've liked - two lines that eventually go towards one temperature checking station. Staff is not there to really help navigate human traffic. Food/drink vendors are inside for those who need refreshments or are hungry. But the overall spectacle that everyone paid to see, was very underwhelming. A bunch of lights on the floor, slowly changing colors, with a 0.5 mile loop walk, minimal seating areas around, the lights.... that's pretty much it. I felt like it was a waste of money and especially time as we drove from L.A. I'd advise those coming from a place that is more than 1 hour away, to just save yourself $$ and time and skip this exhibition. My friends were also underwhelmed. I really wanted to love it.

It's cool but not $36 per person cool. It's literally a field full of lights. You'll probably spend less than 30 minutes here. You'll get pictures then leave. They have food trucks and vendors but due to COVID, live bands are cancelled right now.

This was so beautiful. We arrived early enough to watch the sun set and the lights slowly come on. It was a totally different experience from sunset to complete dark. It was breathtaking, and I would recommend a visit before they close for the season.

Unique experience for inter-generational family or date night. There is an area of food trucks and music right when you enter before walking to the lighted field. There is a VIP viewing area with heaters and seats - doesn’t strike me as worth the incremental cost. A little pricey for what it is, but if you have the money it is definitely unique and fun for the whole family.

Nice attraction in Paso Robles. Plenty of parking, easy in and out of the attraction, food truck, music, and general seating available until it gets darker. VIP area available as well with nicer seating and views of the attraction. The light attraction was pretty cool, and they are adding on to it with variations of light vessels.

The place was spectacular! Lights made into beautiful art you can still through. Enjoyed the scenery very much! Actually talking about returning before it goes away. Would've given more stars, but the "Kitchen" had an employee that wouldn't provide me with a receipt; when I checked my account I found out she gave herself a $10 tip without my approval.

Sensorio was quite an experience. The field of lights was so beautiful to witness in person. We came across this place through social media like most others. The venue opened at 7pm but it really didn’t get dark enough for the lights until about 8:30pm. We bought VIP tickets and the VIP terrace was a nice place to sit while waiting for the sun to go down. We really enjoyed the whole exhibit. The price seems to be an issues for most reviews but the price point wasn’t an issue for us. My biggest con was just the crowd. It’s a beautiful place with plenty of places to take pictures. Its also dark so unless you have good lighting on your camera( which most don’t) your selfies are not going to come out. Maybe just sit back and enjoy.

This was such an awesome experience! I’ve wanted to come see this for 2 years and so happy I finally did! They had live music and some outdoor games to occupy the time while you wait for it to get dark. They let in the perfect amount of people… it never feels overly crowded and you can stop and take as many pictures as you like and walk any direction you want. I had such a great time!

This is a must see. If you decide to come opt for the VIP. The experience is much better sitting in front of fire pits and having a few drinks and food before walking around. The lights themselves are impressive and look great. The pricing is a bit high for both entry and drinks, but overall, the experience was a good one.

Not worth the price for me. You can walk it in 30 minutes so for almost $100 for 2 people it’s not something I would do twice. Here on a holiday weekend so it was pretty busy and lots of people walking around in the dark. Wasn’t here long so didn’t use the restrooms but the one I walked by looked like porta potty hand washing. Seems like plenty of parking but we arrived after it was already dark so people were leaving already. You park and walk through security where they check your bags and then walk further down the path to show your tickets. Then you can walk anywhere but the terrace (vip tickets). There are some fire pits with chairs and a grassy area. Also table and chairs around the path. Some food trucks but didn’t try anything since we just came from dinner. You cannot use flash so pictures are not great. Bring a jacket. Here on an august night and wore a thin jacket.

Unique and colorful lights placed asthetically in a wide open field along hillsides. The sea of light will change its colors asynchronously throughout the night. Make sure to book your admission ticket in advance for cheaper rate.

A very nice, beautiful experience. Lights in the valley are a sight to see. Keep walking down the path to the light towers. There were food trucks in the entry way and a live musician. Had a great time with wife and kids. Kids took so many selfie pics at night with all the light from the towers.

Amazing venue. While the lights are stunning, the overall venue, complete with live music, food trucks, and bar, are what make it truly special. All of this combined with the sheer size of it make it something everyone should visit and great for all ages.

Such a great evening side trip. This place was recommended to us by another couple passing through. When we inquired around, everyone we spoke to suggested it. It was a lovely evening to walk through and great with a full moon rising. Wasn’t too crowded. Beautiful light display!

This was 'ok'. I never seen a place like it before but after driving almost 4 hours to get there it didn't seem worth the time and also over priced. Once you enter, there are food trucks selling over priced food because your in the middle of nowhere so they know you will pay up. $5 slice of pizza, $4 for churrors, $3 for a coke. Then Once you pass that part you start to see the amazing lights as you walk down a path that circle the area. Within a 15 or 20 minute walk, its over. They don't rush people to hurry through the path, but at the end of it, it makes me wonder that their could have been more. $33 for a walk around a path looking at the lights. There is nothing else there unless you get a hotel to go to the winery the next day. No major cities, no restaurant's, no small towns, nothing. Honestly I don't know why they had to put this so far up the road once you exit the freeway also this could be anywhere. I'm sure everyone that went there had to have an hour's drive just to get there. Is it worth it? Kinda if you never seen it before, but not worth the price when it come to driving. I don't plan to go there again unless I go to another place along the way. It's Just a 20 minute walk around a path as you see those lights change color. It's over priced, but never seen anything like it, not worth to see it again. There could be more. Not worth the drive if you travel more than 2+ hours to see lights. Is it cool? Yes. Mixed review here lol...it's cool but not worth the long drive and the price.

Awesome lighting. Go for 5:30 pm slot then you can enjoy both sun set and lights in the dark. No flash is allowed while taking photos. If you want really good photos then take good camera (Phone camera will not be sufficient). No food or drinks are allowed inside as they do strict checking. I went on full moon and it was beautiful. Food truck, washrooms are available inside. Don't expect huge fields. It was of decent size, good for photos.

Amazing experience ! This field of light was absolutely breathtaking. The staff was friendly and quick to correct visitors who were using flash photography so that they would not effect the experience. The food choices could have been a little more diverse. However besides that. This was an amazing experience and the hot chocolate was a must!

Great spot if you pay for the VIP. Beautiful setup for sitting, and they fully explain the mask situation to you beforehand which is awesome for people that are worried about people wearing masks. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this.

You need to see this place!! It is truly AMAZING! Hours are from 7-10:30 pm. Food and beverages are available to purchase. Plenty of parking. The paths are plenty wide and are dimly lit to enhance the experience. I saw a few wheel chairs and no one seemed to have any problems. There are benches along the pathways for resting, clean restrooms and a seating area with firepits near the food area. You'll need to do a fair amount of walking to see the display, there are 15 acres of lights to see. Check out my pictures, they should explain any questions you have. Just go see this wonderfully fantastic art display! Check out their website!

Very enjoyable and relaxing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great service. We got there early and watched the sunset as the lights came on. The VIP area was nice to watch the lights from and stay warm. The fire pits did make the lights look dimmer at times but you could easily still see them. We walked the grounds and when back to the area to sit and continue to view them.

It’s good for one time experience. Massively overpriced though. Would be better if they added few more attractions and other activities included in that price. We had to drive almost 5 hours just to see these lights-art. If, in the area, for wine tasting and nearby sight seeing- its worth seeing it; but just for the lights wouldn’t recommend making a long trip for that price.

Absolutely amazing experience. It’s like stepping into the land of fairies. They also have a great restaurant and bar, as well as a food truck with great Mexican food. The scale is breathtaking. On a clear moonlit night, this place felt very ethereal. The walkways are a bit dark, but once you get your bearing, it is easy enough to get around. The light towers at one end are a nice bonus. If they added gentle holiday music, that would enhance the mood. The entry and food court area are also nicely done though they were quite deserted so felt a bit forlorn. Decent live music. Taco truck was pretty good. Beer goes well with the mood. It’s a good way to spend a couple of hours, though the tickets are a bit pricey.

The light fixtures create a spectacular flower field of ever-changing blooms, like a field of spring tulips. Upon entering the visitors pass security check, health and temperature checks, then a greeter reminds the rules for keeping a difference, move in a single direction and no flash photography. The organizers are very friendly and accommodating. At the entrance food and drinks are offered at around ten trucks. The track is dark and has occasional seating areas to be used for resting or as observation spots. I expected to be deeply touched by the experience, but it didn't have such effect, hence less stars.

  • 4/5 Lucas C. 3 years ago on Google
It was definitely pretty once the sun set and the lights were the only illumination of the field. The atmosphere was a lot of fun too. "15 acres of lights" kind of over sells the size of the installation. I'm not great at estimating acreage, but I was expecting a larger area. Still, it was a very pleasant evening around a novel use of light and landscape. I'd recommend it.

Fabulous atmosphere. Plenty of setting to enjoy the light show. Good food and wine. Magical experience.

  • 4/5 Andrew D. 3 years ago on Google
Sigh. It's WAY overpriced for what it is but, at the same time, falls into that nebulous category of 'how does one value art?'. What it is: A small valley with a bunch of light pole clusters that change color that could take as little as 5 minutes to walk around. And it's pretty crowded with people overtaking walkways to take pictures. The good: the art really complements the nature around it. If this was in a flat floored warehouse it wouldn't work. But it's on slight hills in the midst of trees. That combined with an amazing sunset and moon overhead makes the scenery majestic. The bad: it's three times the price of LACMA or MoMA and a third of the price of disneyland for a far less memorable or time consuming experience. Truly what makes it significant is the significant price and the significant drive time to get there. If this suddenly sprang up on the side of the highway in LA for free with no scheduled tickets and only required that one wait in line, it would likely get an 'oh cool!', be very appreciated and be remembered positively for years to come. To put it another way, if going to Disneyland cost $1000, would it still be worth it? Considering the amount of annual pass holders, people living in the Disney town in Florida (Celebration) and other diehard Disney fans, to many, yes, it absolutely would still be worth it. But here, Sensorio just doesn't seem to have earned what it's charging. It is a really cool exhibit (at the 7pm time slot) but unless you're already in Paso Robles for something else and don't mind dropping $100+ for a date night, skip it for something else.

It's an awesome technology that used fiber optics to brighten up the large field. These lights are subtle and changes color slowly. There are beautiful tall towers made up of wine bottles using fiber optic cable to glow them up. I would really appreciate the work. However, don't expect the bright colors. Give it a try if you are around and enjoy the technology. Take a walk and feel the moment. Very strict photo rules. Flashes are not allowed.

The field of lights is definitely a unique experience. I would recommend to get in just before the sunset as sunset is also very picturesque on a clear sky day.

Nicely done but a little overpriced for what it was

A delightful and wonderfully artistic display. Mesmerizing...could have stayed longer!

It is beautiful, but if you need spent hours intending to view it, it is not worth it. Only take it to be a stopover. If you didn't purchase a ticket online in advance, it's okay to buy it onsite. Lineup the secure, and you can see the box office. After 8 pm, you can see the light show; before that, you only can see all the white belts.

👍👍 Love this winery! They have tons and tons of different wines, and they pour generously. The tasting room is beautiful, and I’m sure the outdoors would be wonderful for a tasting, as well— we visited on a rainy afternoon. Allan was knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and super generous with his wine...
