We stopped at this building with zero expectations. The house keepers told us to visit the exhibition on a left side of the building. We can go up to the rooftop and enjoy the city view. I would recommend here for photography and artistic space on the 5th floor here.

Historical Post Office with Thailand Creative Design Center next door

The General Post Office also known as the Grand Postal Building, is a historic building in the Bang Rak District of Bangkok. Opened on 24 June 1940 on the former site of the British Legation, it was designed by architects Sarot Sukkhayang and Mew Aphaiwong in a mixture of Art Deco and International Style architecture which reflected the desire of the ruling People's Party to project a modern and powerful image of the state.

For those who missed the Vijitr Mu-Light event in Bangkok at the Grand Postal Office, this one's for you:) I went in the last day and arrived just in time for the 7.15pm show. The building was lit up by projectors accompanied by lights, sounds and a storyline that lasted ten minutes. The light show was themed around tarot cards and the horoscope. Absolutely enjoyed my visit!

The central post office is located at Bangrak. You can find a huge grey tower with 2 Praya Garuda ornaments above it’s grand entrance. Inside is big hall that separate one part to be service counter. The packing station was at the right hand-side immediately to the main gate. I ‘m so appreciate with professional packing sikk of the staffs which my parcel never got complaint from receivers. Though there are customers but not waiting so long because good systematic management.👍

Design Event held here was a really fun experience. Live music - djs and bands that were quite good plus local artists and awesome food vendors.
