I have been living in Patna since 2014. And in every month i am going to this park because this park is just beside railway station. I am so addictive to this part because whenever my train was late I went to this park just to spent my time. One thing you should that their are many rascal people roaming into the peek they will give you false advice. Just to loot you. Please take care. This park is very best for couples. Many a times I see some couples spend their whole day. Also there are museum inside the park . You have to pay extra for this museum. Follow me for more updates and guide. Thanks for your valuable time. TA-DA! ~Monu~

A big park next to Patna railway station. You can go for time pass here. When we visited there, we were amazed to see the silence and peacefulness over there. Its maintained well in terms of cleanliness and greenery. This is a must visit place in Patna. You can go here with only 20Rs Entry Fee+ Laser Light Show and entry fees of museum is Rs 40. ticket gives allowance for two hours.Cameras and foods are not allowed to be taken inside the park. Must watch laser show after 6 PM & there is dedicated area in front of the stupa for people to sit and experience it. In laser show you can watch the history of Bihar and you will love it. You can here with your friends and family. Must go to this park.

Tired of the noisy Patna Junction? Visit this place just opposite of the street. Very beautifully decorated and well maintained park dedicated to Buddha. Different sections are there like stupa, library and museum. Usually crowded at the ticket counter but once inside it is very calm and peaceful. Laser shows are held in the evening. Overall worth visiting.

Located at great location of this region and well created but management isn't good. Nowadays it's famous for couples, senior citizens may got disappointed by visiting here because of deeds of couples inside the park. It's public place and people pay for be with nature and take some fresh air but couples ruins it. Parking isn't available for vehicle. Crowded outside with some ill mannered people who mostly tries to steal visitors stuffs. In terms of hygiene it's average. Photography lover must be here while sunset.

Loved this place.... All over the lane , there was peaceful environment.....a unique flow of energy was all around..... it was a wonderful experience for me...... Although , I was with my batch mates therefore they were not keeping the environment cool...they were busy in their own world , 🤦 Having a race in a peaceful park, playing red hands 😅 , and Much more mischief which is beyond words 🤭. Although...I enjoyed a lot and simply it's a valuable asset to invest my time and soul there..... There is a built in museum , a ride to the stupa and yeah ; a garden for old people to move around and spend time together and yes ; 🤭🤭 for couples there were Many places to hang together but they must hold their hands or they might lose something precious in the park 😄.

The park houses Buddha Stupa, a museum and a meditation centre. Separate tickets for park/museum/stupa entry. Everything is well maintained and quite scenic! The museum is a must visit for first timers. There are few awesome modern artworks. The park was originally a British era jail, ruins of which are preserved in a small area. The overall ambience is refreshing and peaceful! This has to be one of my top favourite spots in Patna.

Been to Buddha Smriti Park during my visit to patna. This place is beautiful surrounded with greenery. This place also has water fountain show in the late evening. But as I had to leave early couldn’t stay for the show. The entrance of the park has different tickets to choose with for various types of entry. Depending on your choose you can choose the tickets. But make sure you take the tickets from the entry itself as inside there are no ticket counters.

recently visited Buddha Smriti Park near Patna Station and wanted to share my experience. Overall, the park offers a peaceful atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation and chilling out. Here's my review: The highlight of Buddha Smriti Park is undoubtedly the soothing background music that fills the air. The calming mantra playing in the background creates a serene ambiance, allowing visitors to unwind and find solace in the tranquility of the park. It adds a spiritual touch to the surroundings and enhances the overall experience. The park itself is well-maintained and boasts beautiful green spaces, making it an ideal spot for spending some quality time in nature. The meticulously manicured gardens, dotted with vibrant flowers, provide a picturesque backdrop that adds to the park's charm. One of the standout features of the park is the grand Buddha Smriti Stupa, which stands tall and majestic. The stupa serves as a reminder of the rich Buddhist heritage and provides a focal point for visitors to reflect and meditate. It is a visually impressive structure and adds to the overall appeal of the park. However, I must mention that the park can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours and weekends. This can sometimes hinder the peaceful experience one seeks while visiting such a place. Additionally, the availability of seating areas could be improved to accommodate more visitors who wish to sit and relax. Despite these minor drawbacks, Buddha Smriti Park is a great place to unwind and find solace in the midst of nature. Whether you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or simply want to spend some time in a serene environment, this park offers a pleasant retreat. Overall, I would recommend Buddha Smriti Park to those seeking a tranquil and relaxing experience. Don't forget to immerse yourself in the soothing background music that adds an extra layer of peace and serenity to your visit.

Or an avid reader....this is a good place for you.... We have library🏫📚 inside park...its in BLOCK-C. But tickets are different for the library and the temple. Devotional songs will be playing inside park ... There are plenty of "Bose" Speakers 🔊🔊🔊 installed in the park.... You can feel the divine vibe. .... I just experienced the place... It was bliss....

Visited Buddha Smriti Park or Buddha Memorial Park in Patna yesterday. It is an important centre of religious tourism in Bihar, India with a massive 22-acre park located near the Patna Railway Junction to commemorate the 2554th birth anniversary of the Buddha. I was mesmerized on the the design of this marvelous park that has been prepared by architect Vikram Lall. I was told that during the last seven years, Buddha Memorial Park has emerged as a modern centre of excellence for understanding the life and teachings of Buddha. It is a must-visit destination for inquisitive people of all faiths and religions. Earlier till 1994 there was central jail in this huge premises now turned into a park, you can still find ruins of the Jail. It also ingeniously designed campus comprises Karuna Stupa, a meditation centre, a library, a museum. The circular building or the Stupa is accessible through a series of ascending ramps which take the visitors to a plaza at the highest level of the building, from here one enters the main circular hall with structural glazing all around and wooden flooring in concentric fashion. There is a glass enclosure in which relic of the Buddha has been kept which is one amongst the eight original relics excavated from Vaishali. The meditation centre in the park consists of 60 air-conditioned cells, each having a viewing window towards the Patliputra Karuna Stupa. Another attraction of the Buddha Memorial Park is the museum building which showcases the life and times of Buddha through original artifacts, 3-D models, audio-visual medium and multimedia presentations. There's also saplings planted from famous Bodhi Tree & other religious places planted by his holiness Dalai Lama. There's laser show in the park from 6:00 pm -6:30 pm too. Every year thousands of tourists from countries like Japan, Myanmar, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and India visit this place for solace and enlightenment. At the time of its inauguration Dalai Lama rightly said, "I hope this park will become a source of inspiration for everybody, following any religion or atheist, to develop compassion and love."

It is a place in heart of Patna city just in front of Patna Railway Station. Its is place is best for mediation . Here always voice came BUDDHISM MANTRAS. In evening time here is showing lazer show and describe about bihar and Maurya density. Best place for morning park. The Buddha Smriti Park was developed by the Government of Bihar to commemorate the 2554th birthday of Lord Buddha. It is an urban oasis sprawling across a generous area of 22 acre. The highlight of the park are two Bodhi trees, planted by the Dalai Lama, which flank a statue of Lord Buddha. Reverently built at a cost of Rupees 125 Crore (19.13 million USD), the park was inaugurated by the Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel Laureate Dalai Lama on May 27, 2010 in the presence of Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar. The design of this marvelous park has been prepared by architect Vikram Lall of Lall and Associates, a Delhi based architectural firm.

And there are trees and shades where you can sit well and picnic but the guard is persistent to avoid the plastic bags to take inside. Anyhow you can take your lunch and have it inside there is water filter the last time I went inside. Hey you have a great day.

Nice place but they need to work on the parking area. Cars are parked outside on the road and people have urinated there even after there is a board kept for not urinating. They need to take strict measures to avoid such activities. Due to these kind of action and people doing so Bihar has not yet been able to develop. People lack civic sense. Hence a strict actions like huge fine or something like that should be implemented by government as well as park management team

It is situated near Patna Jn. Railway Station ... The Park Has Many Attractions like the Buddha Museum & a Separate Meditation Center. It holds a Laser Show every evening at 6pm which shows interesting and illustrious historical facts of ancient Bihar. The Cleanliness and Security Management is the best among all the parks in Patna.

Couples can also be spotted in park. It's completely couple friendly as well as a family place. Cameras and foods are not allowed to be taken inside the park. Can see the renails of patna central. Jail a pond museum karuna stupa park a meditation hall. The most mesmerizing element over there are the little squirrels.

One must visit this place as its built on the site where Lord Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment. It is located in the heart of Patna, which was once the capital of the Magadha Empire and an important center of Buddhism. Apart from this you can enjoy beautiful landscapes with lush green lawns, colorful flower beds, and well-maintained gardens. In addition to all , this park is an ideal place for those seeking peace and tranquility. The serene environment and the beautiful landscapes of the park provide a perfect setting for meditation and introspection.

No food items are allowed inside the park and bags will be checked thoroughly. Both male and female guards are active and strict for cleanliness and stops those who does nuisance. Timings are limited according to your ticket. Most of the time couples will be seen. You can enjoy the lazor light show in the evening and also there is a small museum type place inside the park(chargeable). Overall the place is good.

Through lasers they also take you through the rich history of Bihar.

A well maintained park near Patna Junction. Also known as 'Buddha Garden'. The infrastructure is quite good and most areas touches the road, yet it offers a pleasing experience on the go. The only drawback is that visiting the park is a paid service, but I guess it is necessary to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the park. Do visit there if you're somewhere near Patna Junction.

  • 4/5 Shantanu P. 3 years ago on Google
The park has been constructed at the place where once The historical Bankipur Central Jail of British era existed. After a new central jail was built at Beur on the outskirts of Patna, the old jail become redundant.[7] The park is a brainchild of the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar. Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, on 27 May 2010 inaugurated Buddha Smriti Park[8] and planted two saplings one was brought from Bodh Gaya and the other from Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka of the sacred Bodhi tree. A branch of the original Mahabodhi tree at Bodh Gaya is believed to have been taken to Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka by Emperor Ashoka's son Mahendra. The Sri Lankan delegation had brought a sapling from this tree to planted at the Buddha Smriti Park.[8][9] The central attraction of this park is the Stupa, known as Patliputra Karuna Stupa, 200 feet high, situated in the middle of the park.[10] This 22 acre park located in the heart of city house the pot containing holy ashes of Buddha inside the main stupa. Previously the pot containing ashes of Buddha was for display in Patna Museum, pot was earlier excavated from Vaishali. The park have a museum,[11] where Buddhist relics from Japan, Myanmar, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been installed. The park is also having meditation hall for prayers.[10] The entry charge is ₹ 20 per individual be it child or an elder person. It now has a tall statue of Buddha.

It is very unreasonable Not budget friendly Kids will definately not enjoy Lovers spot will definately be detected For library it is Rs 50 Buddh stambh it charges Rs 50 For museum it charges Rs 40 They are not making it clear through its quotation You are not allowed to take videos when you are inside the above mentioned place When I entered buddh stambh it was really a different experience it was like peace amidst chaos and you can stay there as long as you want Take your days out and relax there for one day meditate ,attain a short term salvation , self analyse Tiles is made up of wooden block you will feel that it is about to fall because of you Guards are also nice and amicable and humble too It was all n all very awesome experience but not budget friendly It is well ventilated and air conditioned And very different This is intended for calming , inciting and self control Museum The experience was disgusting and pathetic Room is not air conditioned You are not allowed to take photos and videos In a cinematic experience it was just looted The only attractive thing was it's continuous cleaning They are cleaning everything in every minute Wich is innovative and impressive For library you must take atleast 10 hour wich is not possible in my case

It close to Railway 🚂 junction Patna , Very informative about lord Buddha. Proud of Bihar. In evening park give much pleasure as light arrangements show life of lord Buddha. Also street food are excellent outside gate. Very minimum Entrance fee. A place for couples too. Security is tight so don't try to cheat. Best wishes for all visitors.

Good place to spend an evening. Clean and well maintained. It will give you basic knowledge about Sidhartha Gautama and Buddhism. Holy relics from Japan, Myanmar, South Korea, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Tibet can be seen here. Walkway through the garden.

It's a nicely maintained park although there's a lot of scope for it to be that perfectly maintained park. Ticket prices vary for the different places that you want to visit inside the park. Stupa + Park visit cost me Rs 50. Stupa is good and you can sit inside it if you wish to sit for some time in peace. Laser show happens after 6 pm and there is dedicated area in front of the stupa for people to sit and experience it. Overall, the park visit was good and you can hang out with your friends and family here.

  • 3/5 Rabindra K. 2 years ago on Google
By looks it is nice. But sis guard are very rude they will not allow you to seat on the grass. Neither you are allowed to take a small/Big Lap. Literally They Gonna Force You Too Sit.. You Can't take rest there. Dissiapointed. After paying 20rs charge too. Gandhu maidan is much better option to take rest

The place is great. Even though it's very near to railway station and busy roads once you come inside you feel the calmness, but somehow they managed to let it be a lover's point.

Serene and beautiful , this place is a must visit if you are in Patna. At a walkable distance from main Patna railway station , this a well maintained , huge park built around the Patliputra Stupa . Tickets are charged for Park , Museum & Stupa seperately... There is buddist music playing in background in the entire park . Museum is also centred around life of Buddha and Buddhism across the globe... There is a great collection of Madhubani paintings in the museum 👌

Best place .The park has been constructed at the place where once The historical Bankipur Central Jail of British era existed. After a new central jail was built at Beur on the outskirts of Patna, the old jail become redundant. The park is a brainchild of the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar . The entry fees of museum there is 40 and park is 20 . Museum is also good .and park is also the bestt .

Buddha Smriti Park also known as Buddha Memorial Park (as translated in English) is an urban park located on Frazer Road near Patna Junction in Patna, India.[1] This park has been designed by Vikram Lall[4] and developed by the Bihar Government[5] to commemorate the 2554th birth anniversary of the Buddha. This park was inaugurated by the 14th Dalai Lama.[6] Buddha Smriti Park बुद्ध स्मृति पार्क Buddha Memorial PThe park has been constructed at the place where once the historical Bankipur Central Jail of British era existed. The park has a museum,[11] where Buddhist relics from Japan, Myanmar, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been installed. The park is also having meditation hall for prayers.[10] The entry charge is ₹20 per individual be it child or an elder person. It now has a tall statue of Buddha.

A good experience overall. Describes the places of cultural heritage and religion in Bihar. About the people, culture, heritage. Buddhism - it's start, teachings, spread across the world, followings and preachings. Park is a peaceful place to roam around and spend some time in tranquility. The stupa is at its best at the centre of the park. Museum showcases all the findings.

ABOUT.... Buddha Smriti Park also known as Buddha Memorial Park is an urban park located on Frazer Road near Patna Junction in Patna, India. This park has been designed by Vikram Lall and developed by the Bihar Government to commemorate the 2554th birth anniversary of the Buddha. This park was inaugurated by the 14th Dalai Lama. It's also known for history because in British Time there was jail that's known as Bakipur Central Jail . After independence the jail was shifted to the beur area and the jail is not in use then chief minister bihar Shri Nitish Kumar thought and constructed a beautiful park budha smirti park. Experience I visited there for video purposes and I tried to shoot video and explore the budha smirti park. I took the ticket and asked at the counter. I wanted to explore this park . The counter man reply ok it's not problem you can shoot. When I enter i was try to shoot intro video then the security say there is not allowed to shoot video only you can take pictures. I have to say everything I have already talked about to at the ticket counter but he said you cannot shoot video so i feel bad and pack my bags and quit the video shoot. Then I tried to make reels i uploaded on Instagram. 1. That's park is name Lord Budha but there reality is that this park is Lover spot. 2. This is park is beautiful and security level is High for couples . If any body want to shoot they cannot shoot because of couples. 3. If u want to visit with your family try to come in morning time not try to come at the time of evening.

park has 2 main attraction, firstly buddha museum and second stupa.....u get a basic 20 rup ticket for park excluding both.....40 for park+museum and 50 for park+stupa....no ticket which covers all three...if you want to visit park+stupa+museum buy a ticket of 50+40...makes sense? Museum is worth visiting once....park has nothing to offer...poor maintainence...scum and algae over water.....
