I normally don’t review things because it could just be a one time thing for me, but after reading the other reviews, it is safe to say what everyone said so far is correct. This is a very commercial hospital where there is hidden fees and a system to charge you at any turn. On top of standard fees like (the highly overpriced) hospital fee and doctors fee, they would sell you a memory stick for a video that could easily be copied or sent via email. Hiding behind nonsensical corporate memorized lines like “patient safety” or “file too big” or “hospital policy”, they would add additional charges to sell you more things. Of course it is not all bad, the facilities are really nice, but perhaps it might also be the undoing of this hospital. In some way, this nice facility with nice floors and walls have inflated the (some) nurses’ ego so much that they think they can speak to patients and family as rude as they want. When questioned why there are extra charges, they would get annoyed and raise their voices. Maybe it is a language barrier thing(to give the benefit of the doubt), but they also talk to other nurses about the patient in the local language with the same manner. Overall, the experience here was very much like dealing with hustlers at the local market. You would have a good time if you have unlimited money to give them, and once you start questioning about it, their mannerisms change. We get that with the good facilities and equipment comes higher prices, but it is quite unfitting that it doesn’t come with decent service. NOTE Not all nurses were rude of course, some were really pleasant to deal with. In other departments, (for eg, the heart centre was great) but some nurses couldn’t even pretend to be nice until they get paid.

There is ZERO patient privacy. The reception staff at the front desk and within each department will ask you to describe your symptoms in front of the entire waiting room. They will come up to you and discuss sensitive information about your symptoms, treatment and price in front of the entire waiting room. It’s inappropriate, unacceptable and happens every time I have come here.

Big hospital with modern facilities and equipment. Caters for both local and expatriate community. Attentive and good service. Has all aspects of hospital care.

It has been long 3 hours in the hospital only to see physician and to do pcr test? And there were only two of us in waiting room? Terrible organisation if you are patient! Politeness is zero at the unit for covid tests

The nurses specially at the orthopedic unit have a bad attitude. They don’t like getting asked any questions and will frown at you and raise their voice when you ask anything, they will also tell you to just wait, this is in spite of not being busy that morning and having only 3 patients. The support staff which are probably the lowest paid staff at the hospital, are the ones that are helpful, friendly, and service oriented. The quality of the service has really gone downhill in the past 5 years, and now you just see bad attitude prevalent among nurses and staff. This is a private hospital and they charge a lot of money relative to other hospitals in Asia, so you would expect good service, but you’re not likely to get that. I hope that they make significant improvements in the management of this hospital.

Big hotel like hospital but service is soo sooo slow. for 10mints procedure it took about 2hours and 1 hour additionally for bill payment. Whats the point of being private hospital and charging 5 times if its still slow?

A Nice Starbucks Branch store! Not much more than that unfortunately. 1) Had an awful for poisoning. First time they send me to outpatient window. I was feeling like dying but had to sit 1 hour. Doctor made routine check if pressure etc. And send for some medicine. At my condition the medicine would not make any difference. 2) After 2 hours I knew I went be able to sleep so I just went back this time directly to emergency doors. Since it was night, they don't have any doctors available, so they just give me some intravenous vitamins or something. What I wanted and asked is the Stomach washing! It's the simplest of techniques. But they said I didn't need it. So I just left back home and had to puke until I got better. 3) On separate occasion I had a Tooth root post which fell off. It is kind of emergency since it can get infected. In the phone they said that doctor hours are 9-00--17-00. Yet when I arrived at 14-30 they said there is no queue. I don't buy it. They should at least give a warning that it's possible. Overall score: Prices 3/10 Service 5/10 Waiting times 0/10 Emergency services 0/10 Starbucks 9/10 Overall rating: Starbucks Branch store. 1/10

This hospital locked me in the I see you because my credit card did not go through after I had been in intensive care and did not sleep for two days with a brain injury. They absolutely Patton refused to let me go to my hotel room to get the cash which they could’ve been paid for the help me hostage until a family member, or someone else will pay the bill. The thing is that I had the money but my car does not work in their little machine that they bring around when they collect money so be aware that if you go to the hospital that if you’re payment declined, you will not be allowed to leave. They will hold you hostage. They will threaten you with the police and immigration, and they were basically extort money out of someone and keep you there until it’s paid. I have contacted the hospital trying to rectify the situation to the hospital has not replied course because they don’t care about rectifying the situation. They just care about getting your money anyway that they can even if they miss treat you and give you PTSD for the rest of your life. Because of the actions to the hospital I do not feel safe going to Thailand I will never, and I urge other people to stop visiting Thailand, a place for the hospitals are allowed to lock you up. If you cannot pay the bill or something simple like you cannot get your debit card to work on your credit card and they will be invisible they will not even escort you to an ATM machine so that you can pay them. They will lock you in there and they will threaten you. And your vacation will become your worst nightmare.

This hospital deserves more than just 3.5 stars! Yes, it might be slightly pricey - but you pay for what you get, and quality is what you get here! My boyfriend had a persistent high fever and we were quickly attended to at A&E. Efficient registration process with nurses checking his vitals and assigning him a bed within 15 mins. After doing some tests for flu and COVID, doctor on duty did all the due diligence checks of the stomach, lungs and other areas, before advising us to stay the night as his fever was really high (39.7°C) and persistent. He didn’t try to hard sell and gave us time to consider, which was great as it didn’t add pressure on us. We were covered by travel insurance so we chose to stay, and the transfer to the ward was quick and comfortable. Nurses were really friendly and the ward room was spacious with amenities in place. The guest/caregiver even had a huge sofa to sleep on. Overall, there were some points where we had to wait or take the initiative to get an update/ check done, but the experience was positive nevertheless! Nurses and doctors were generally really helpful and professional. I don’t usually do reviews, but when I do, the place or service must have left an impression. Kudos to the team at Bangkok Hospital Phuket for a 5-star hospital experience! P.S. on a lighter side note, when I went back to the hospital from the hotel with our luggages, there was even a bellboy escorting me and the luggages up to the ward. I’ve been to great hospitals but this is definitely a first 😂

I see there is alot of negative reviews for this hospital. Please remember this is a private hospital where you are treated extremly quickly unlike long lengthy less costly waits at government hospitals. My suggestion would be to use government hospitals for minor illnesses and you will find your final bill cheaper. But for serious ailments would you really want to be faced with a lengthy wait to be seen and treated. No of course not, so i am afraid you will pay more for that luxury as well as having clean, comfortable surroundings. So today i just got discharged from Bangkok hospital after spending 4 days and 3 nights having undergone Anterior Cervical Disc Fusion on 3 levels. You can google ACDF if your interested. This is not a cheap procedure anywhere in the world and even more so at any private hospital. I had no insurance for complicated reasons that i will not bore you with, but not due to other ill health problems either. Therefore i knew i would be financing this treatment from my savings. However having presented myself with almost unbearable, severe pain in my left shoulder blade, left arm, left hand and fingers i proceeded to diagnostic tests where it was clear that my cervical spine on 3 levels was compressing 3 seperate nerves causeing the severe unbearable pain. Surgery was required with no real other choices other than to fly to Bangkok as this hospital is the only hospital on Phuket that has the specialised equipment to carry out the operation with the most minimal incision and mimimal invasive replacement of cervical disc implants and titanium screws to be fused to my spine bone. I would Just like to say that not only did Bangkok hospital offer me a reasonable inclusive package price for what i already knew was an expensive procedure, but from presenting in severe pain, explaining that i had no insurance and being offered the all inclusive price (which i accepted) to undergoing the much needed operation it took only 6 days. Please tell me in how many other countries i would of been processed so quickly? As i final note i really would like to thank Bangkok hospital and all the nurses that took such fantastic care of me during my first ever surgery that was indeed very scary for me but was lessened because of the professional care i recieved. With an especially big thankyou to my specialist spine consultant and surgeon doctor Treenarong Narote who from the 1st day i saw him to the day i got discharged was the most kind, helpful, professional, friendly doctor anyone could ever hope to meet. I am almost pain free now and can only say positive things about my experience at this hospital and with all the staff that work here. Thankyou so much. Stuart Childs, room 703, UK citizen.

It's very sad that a couple of experiences when it came to how this hospital's accounting department dealt with international insurance. The total bill was in excess of 110 000 Baht and all along the way it was ALL about approval from insurance before they would lay a finger on me. With writhing back pain there was a huge wait for an x-ray, than there was another wait of over 2 hours for an MRI, than there was another 2 hour wait for approval for a room. Medically speaking, all went perfectly well and better than a lot of European or North American facilities without a doubt but right down to the last moment of checking-out of the hospital was when the full realization kicked in that this place ONLY cares about every single baht that they can squeeze from their patients. After signing papers for every single procedure that was done over the 2-day period, when it came down to trying to leave there suddenly appeared a bill that they insisted to be paid or they would literally block the doors of exit. It was for a single physical therapy treatment received just before the procedure and there was no mention, in this case, that it was NOT covered by insurance! The accounting staff were rude, not understanding that it was their procedures that caused such an oversight and refused to take any responsibility for the error of not saying anything, in advance, that this would have to be paid personally - no papers were signed acknowledging that it would be a self-paid bill and no apologies were uttered, in fact, the statement was, "What is 1700 Baht to you?" What an outrageous question and completely missing the mark on what should have been a smooth, relaxed, discharge process from a hospital that had already charged the insurance company over 110 000 Baht. They should be ashamed of themselves.

This place is a rip off if they know you have insurance! This place has taken 60, 000 baht off my 18 year old daughter and would not leave this hospital without any food as they wanted her to stay another night and do more tests including a MRI scan! We knew they were ripping her off as they had told us that they had contacted our insurance when they had not! A family member who is in the affluent area of Bangkok said that it should not have cost more than 15, 000 Baht! Also another family member who works in the NHS said that all she needed was a cat scan and antibiotics! This is now a reason for me to never visit Thailand again!

Emergency is very quick but when it comes to international insurance it’s horrible, everyday the new system, they fighting for 50 euros and not letting out of the hospital even if insurance will definitely cover it the next day and they have my passport and its not enough. I thought it’s more prestigious hospital. And every time for vaccination i have to wait at least 2 hours cause they don’t let pay insurance for several future visits... The system should change or thai people need to be more relax........😤💩

Been here several times for various issues needing different departments. the staff are very polite and helpful. The hospital is set up in a good way. there are various places to eat and a convenience store. this place in sum can well handle people waiting for their friends in some sort of manner, but also taking care of an individual with a particular problem or issue. strongly recommended. PS interesting note - while the hospital apparently did their orginal image deal with Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok, they and this Phuket institution do not share files or have any kind of working association.

Amazing hospital. My daughter broke her arm in two places. We arrived in ED at 18:00 and she was in the operating theatre by 21:30. The whole family were allowed to stay overnight with her in a huge, luxury room. All the staff were amazing and the orthopaedic surgeon did a fantastic job. I am a doctor from the UK and it puts our health service to shame. Thanks again to everyone. Special thanks to all the amazing nurses in ED and floor 7. My daughter ended up enjoying the experience!

Amazing experience in Emergency department which is over my expectation. I have an open wound on my toe after accidentally kicked a rusty metal. From registration (for first time visit), seen by nurses and doctor, cleaned and covered the wound, received tetanus vaccine, and collected medicine from pharmacy counter and paperwork for insurance claim - all done in around 35 minutes if I recall correctly! Many thanks to nurses and doctor for their gentle and comfort services. Amazing speed!

Incompetent. Don't go unless you have to. Hospital is filled with doctors who are honestly 3rd tiered. Their level of English is patheti, that is not what you want when confronting your heath. They want to have international business but they have to learn that they have to be capable and communicative. Been to Bumrungrad in Bangkok, they are competent. Not this hospital. Especially imaging. Only go if you have to and even then get a 2nd opinion.

I have been coming here for over 10 years when I’m living in Phuket. I have always been treated well and highly recommend all the doctors. I have never encountered rushed service or rudeness. That said some visitors are pushy and very rude. The Thai will simply ignore you if you think your yelling and unsmiling face is acceptable behavior. As to prices this is a semi private hospital in that it is public but with a higher rate for facilities and a more posh look. If you do not have insurance either foreign or local the rates are higher than most other hospitals. But anyone can go to the local cheaper hospitals and most specialty doctors rotate there as well. So complains about price are really your fault as options in Phuket are many. The reason for the 4 star is there is limited food and they need to figure that out as a long appointment day can leave you hungry. Note there is a que to pay at end of each appointment and it can be a long wait. Bring a book and a banana = end of issue. They have free bottled water. I love their longevity center and always buy their custom vitamins made especially for each person. Pretty stellar.

Extremely slow service. A 5 minute procedure will follow up by a 1hr wait at the cashier. Average overcharge on medicine is 5x-10x times. Simple bandage application will cost $100 (+ waiting time before and after procedure). Good doctors but terrible services.

An accident occurred during my trip to Phuket. My baby, 4 months pregnant, had amniotic fluid and needed an induction operation. I was soooo scared!!!! Called the ambulance in the middle of the night. Everyone in the hospital are friendly, professional and gave me the most professional care when I was most afraid. The obstetrician and nurse are very good! The hospital is very clean, the equipment is advanced and everyone speaks English. After the operation, I lived in a VIP room (6180 bht/night included 3 meals) The room is large and there are two bathrooms and one kitchen. The nurse will come to check every hour. Very very professional & satisfied! Many many thanks to doctor Sasiya & nurse Aplnya !!!’ Big hugs!!!

DO NOT BUY YOUR MEDICINE FROM THE HOSPITAL PHARMACY. Overall my treatment by the hospital was good but you would expect that as I am a paying patient. However when we went to the pharmacy to collect my prescription I was shocked to see the prices. I was absolutely disgusted that even a private hospital would RIP off their patients so much. I took my prescription to a local pharmacy and paid just under 1300 baht for the exact same medicine. The hospital had wanted over 5000 baht. That's 400% more. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF. DO JOT USE THE HOSPITAL PHARMACY. I can understand a private sector company adding a bit of a mark up as they are a business but 400% is just daylight robbery. You should be ashamed of ourselves as their is absolutely no justification for ripping off your patients to this extent.

Greedy - Look out for: Unnecessary overnight stays (25k+). Unnecessary medicines at inflated price. Repeated and unnecessary height, weight, blood pressure checks disguised on your bill. The neat little brown paper medicine bags disguised on the bill. Different prices whether you or insurance pay (for insurance they bump it up). Different prices for Thais and foreigners. Being asked to leave items like phone etc as surety. Being asked to explain your problem while in waiting room surrounded by people. Sometimes you can see police "standing by" downstairs. There's a handful of nice staff here unfortunately overshadowed by the system. In your country a hospital may be seen as a place of sanctuary that exists to help. Get that out of your head and question everything. It gets the job done in an immoral kind of way.

I chose this Palace of medicine because I wanted to get the highest quality. After spending more than $ 1,500 cash in 3 days, I'm done with it. The staff carefully reproduces the memorized procedures, not understanding the basic principles of sterility. I was taken with open wounds through the lobby with visitors for x-rays, the staff uses mobile phones without changing gloves, and today a fly flew into the treatment room. I'm afraid to imagine what's going on in their major operations. The doctors look qualified, but in general it seems like a bunch of polite robbers.

I had a dental appointment scheduled for 2pm. At 2:35pm I was still sitting in their lobby waiting to even be checked in, let alone actually in the dental chair. Absolutely ridiculous dental department. Left hand has zero idea what the right is doing. To make matters worse, we had arrived one hour earlier at 1pm for our daughter’s dental appointment, so aside from a 5 minute dash to the ATM, had actually been sitting in their dental department for 1.5 hours only to listen to them say “one more moment sir” the entire time.

Got bitten by a monkey whilst on vacation and had to visit a hospital for emergency treatment. Bangkok hospital Phuket was chosen quickly and I am very glad we chose it. Everyone was extremely attentive, all nurses and doctors spoke good English, were very professional, and were very kind. I was in and out of A&E within 30 minutes. It cost £180/7,140 baht for my treatment. We visited on a Sunday evening and it was very quiet, in a good way! They also put all of my treatment in a gift bag which was a really nice touch for a bad situation. The building was also extremely clean and well maintained. I must say, this was probably the best emergency care I have ever received in my life. Thank you to all the staff at the hospital. ขอบคุณทุกคน!

I have visit this hospital more than 35 times over the last 12 years . I did spend more than Baht1,500,000.00 at this hospital paid always cash straight out of my own pocket . Yesterday I needed a scan& biopsy they wanted to charge me between the Baht48,000.- and Baht 50,000.- I told them this is a complete rip off and showed them with my iPhone 4G I could get the same scan & biopsy in Europe for roughly Baht19,000.- . I walked away suddenly I heard the Nurse saying Sir,Sir we can do the job all in for Baht35,000.- !! I turned around and said ok deal . Before they proceed with the scan & biopsy the Nurse asked me to come with her to the cashier and hand over my watch and phone . I just exploded and ask the nurse are you afraid Im not going to pay the bill ? I have visit this hospital more than 35 times over the last 12 years and paid all my bills cash never ever one penny short ! I walked straight out of the hospital and told the nurse I will never ever come back to this hospital again Im disgust with it . It was the second time I walked out of that hospital within 4 months . I have been 12 years a client of the hospital they still don't know my correct nationality they still don't know Im 1,80 cm etc.. They keep asking me the same question over and over again after 12 years !To me it looks like they are not organised at all The hospital loves to inflate your bill with running all kinds of test while I had those tests already done 2 months prior or give me easily again another tetanus vaccine when I had one year ago ( tetanus last 10 years ) They love to keep you in the hospital for all kinds of observations or pushing pain killers and on it on goes . Two years ago I had an endoscopy of my stomach the nurse wanted to give me an injection so I wouldn't puke during the endoscopy I told the nurse I don't need an injection because I haven't been eating for more than 8 hours my stomach is complete empty how on earth can I puke ? The nurse said I have to give you the injection because the doctor told me to do so !My reply was this is not going to happen you have no authority to push me to take medication what I don't need .To keep a long story short the endoscopy went well without the injection !But Im fed up with those drug pushers in order to inflate my hospital bill ! Another trick of the hospital every time when I went to pay my bill at the cashier I had to pay for all kinds of medication as well the doctor didn't even discuss with me if I wanted those medication . Most of the time I just canceled all those prescription drugs and bought the once I really needed at super cheap for 1/5 of the price down the road . The only reason I kept going to this hospital is " There is not much choice in Phuket " If you want a good hospital and reasonable priced get on the plane to Bangkok . My favourite hospital in Bangkok is Samitivej Hospital great dokters and service ! I have red those other 1 star reviews they are correct . One of the problems with this hospital group (listed at the SET) is they need to make money in order to pay dividend to the shareholders. The big question is " is this ethical yes or no ? " should the total profit of the hospital not be reinvested in new high tech equipment like a Proton radiation machine for cancer treatment (example ) ? My advice is if you don't like your estimated cost and you think it is to high you are right get on a plane to Bangkok enough choice there .

This is a very well established private hospital! They have great service and patient care! They are in the Phuket city in a good location! The staff are professional as well! They are however very expensive! If you are hospitalized, if you do not have an insurance it must the hard to pay off their bill! I was hospitalized due to food poisoning and had to pay about $1500 just for a night! I was told one night would cost about 12k thb including doctor and nursing service but without informing me, I received the invoice of over 42k THB! That’s tricky! Thanks to the travel insurance! Most of it was covered!

(Translated by Google) This hospital is a drain on money. If your insurance does not cover the treatment here, be prepared to pay 5-10 times the actual price. Carefully study the check before paying, there may be attributed services that you did not receive at all. And a little about medicines, I had a 4-fold markup on pills (which are freely available in pharmacies). Thank you for attention.

I went in to ask for the price of lipoma removal. They wanted to charge me 50,000 baht to remove 5. I thought it was too expensive so I said I will not do it, they wanted me to pay for consultation fee in which they charged me 1,700 baht. That is ridiculous to talk to someone for 5 minutes and charge that amount to do nothing.

According to the CDC Global Health Report over 38 000 people die every year in Thailand from antibiotic resistant bacterial infections, primarily caused by overprescribing antibiotics. Today my partner and I came here because she had a migraine... there were no symptoms of infection and they ran no tests yet prescribed her a seven day treatment of Amoxicillin (A common antibiotic). This is not only greedy (prescribe more, pay more) but is in actuality reckless endangerment and despite supposedly being devoted to people’s health, Bangkok Hospital is perpetuating a global health crisis which is worse in Thailand than all of Europe and North America. Please stop needlessly prescribing antibiotics and if your doctor gives them to you, make sure you actually need it. It’s sad that you cannot trust the doctors here... very sad.

Modern and the doctor were up to the International Standards. Great experience for us and our daughter recovered fast. Our International insurance got covered and all worked nicely. I am very thankful for the friendly and helpful staff, who always helped with the wheelchair. The doctors are also very professional and took their time to diagnose, that my husband has thrombosis caused by a kitesurfing accident, which got his vain injured. We were able to see 3 different specialists, got an ultrasound, a huge blood test and got the results within 1,5 hours. It’s amazing that this can be organized within 1 day. Also the payment and medicine department is very organized and friendly. Thank you so much!!!

There are way too many people. At start, you register and assistants help you with that. Later one of assistants will guide you through different cabinets. I had an appointment at 13 o’clock. At this time I was not invited. I asked what is wrong and they said there are people before me. I asked why there is a live queue when appointments are time based. I insisted abs the doctor was able to speak with me in a few minutes. Actually, there is a feeling that the doctor can’t speak for enough time with patients. After that an assistant asked me to wait near the cashier. After 15 minutes they came again and asked me to go to another floor to another cashier. I am waiting there for 25 minutes so far and nothing happens.

In this private hospital in Phuket, you are a client, a customer, not a patient. But I highly recommand you to come here if any health pb Translator in every languages, spacious and luxury room, doctors highly qualified, food course really nice and menu a la carte., many services, many specialities, a supermarket inside... There is also one person in charge of you when you arrive for emergency who transports you everywhere you need to go to pass exam.

I went to the ENT specialist after seeing a local clinic. 5 days and my symptoms had not improved, and ear infection spread to both ears. I was warmly welcomed at reception, immediately escorted to the ENT specialist. I waited about 10 minutes before I was seen by Dr. Tankongjumruskul who was so caring and thorough in her examination and discovery questions. She cleaned my ears, prescribed the appropriate medication and pre-scheduled my follow-up. Absolutely amazing! The check out process was fast, efficient, and the cost was extremely low compared to the US. (Roughly $130 USD - included exam, ear cleaning and 2 prescriptions) Overall this was the best doctors experience I have had in my life, with the kindest staff, and the most clean environment. Please do not hesitate to seek medical guidance here as a tourist. You will not be disappointed.

I came here with my husband at 7:30 in the morning there were no patients at all. We waited to just see a doctor for 2 hours. Extremely rude DR. Wanted to take unnecessary tests just to rip us off. Wouldn’t recommend. Also no treatment plan was given. No patient care of hospitality! Worse experience!

Very poor quality of service overall. The nurses and receptionists are very rude and uncaring. All talk right from the start is about money - they won't even give you an estimate of anything, they will demand you see the doctor and pay for a doctor visit consultation first. If you're in pain or distress, nobody will do anything unless you tell them about your funds or insurance - and it's not enough to say you got insurance and that money is not an issue, no, they have to take all the detail, verify them, and then MAYBE someone will start taking care of your health issue. Quality wise the hospital is ok, I suppose if you're dying it's not the worst place to go (but only if you have insurance, remember - they'll check VERY THOROUGHLY). However, if you have a specialist issue, you'd be better off going to a smaller specialty clinic, and if you're not dying on the spot - any other hospital would be a better experience.

Visiting from the US and my 10 yr needed care while on vacation. The Bangkok Clinic in Phuket Dr. Did not give all care needed. I knew more was necessary and called in a US virtual visit and US MD confirmed. Went to Bangkok hospital same day after leaving the smaller clinic where my son received much necessary care and additional meds. Hospital was clean and appears well run from our short visit in the ER. Not much of a wait, everyone was nice and the pharmacy was quick for discharge prescriptions. I’m a nurse from the US. It felt just as efficient or more than large hospitals in the US major metropolitan areas. Would recommend tourist go there and skip the clinic. Prices are low enough and affordable compared to US hospitals.

Wife had a bad infection and was seen promptly with no real delays (albeit emergency wasn't very full). The staff were all very friendly and were able to communicate things well in English, which helped quite a bit. Lastly, there was a 4 year old being seen ahead of us for a 40 degree fever. The staff were incredibly kind and caring to him, and also brought him an iron-man balloon to cheer him up. Great to see the staff taking extra care of little ones

High quality hospital with professional staff. As a foreigner was treated with respect and patience. This may have been chance but it was the shortest door to room time I’ve ever experienced at a hospital. The overnight rooms were clean and quiet and they have several specialists to include a neurologist. Though I hope to never stay again, I recommend the hospital

It was never my plan to end up in a hospital, but I’m really happy it was in the Bangkok hospital. I arrived late (11pm) with a sever pain and a risk of shoulder dislocation/fracture. I was very afraid that I’ll struggle with bureaucracy or any local rules but it turned out to be the opposite. Since the moment I arrived I received the best care and treatment I could wish for. Everyone was so nice and gentle and they did their best to assist me as fast as they can. All of the nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing and I felt that I’m in good hands. The registration process was easy, the general check up and x-ray were also fast. The doctor checked me as well and explained everything in good English. The best thing is that I got all of accessories and medicines right in the place and the bill settlement through the insurance company went without any issues. The total amount was cheaper that I would pay in Israel and I don’t know why people complain about it when you have good doctors and nurses, new facilities and equipment etc. You pay for health quality.

Money making business, be aware if you don't have an insurance. After doing some research and speaking to our hotel reception we decided to go for his hospital for our 16 month girl. We have spoke to insurance to check if we are good to go. Insurance contacted hospital before we have arrived, so we didn't have to pay deposit. Our girl was examined promptly after arrival, taken to ward swiftly, prescribed treatment and diagnostic. Staff speaks good or communicative English, is kind and easy to deal with. We received good size room, with kitchenette and bathroom with all necessary toiletries. Meals were very good. Both sides of hospitalization, doctors and medical care as well as amenities were 5* (there were some negatives but minimal). We have been very looked after, to much higher quality than in UK or in Poland.

I made an appointment for flu shot (600 Baht) and ENT check-up because of flu I had over two weeks disrupting my schedule (not covid). Then I was directed to the floor that handled it. But they were confused and I had to wait till they understood what I wanted for way over an hour. Nurse who gave shot was nice but i was already exhausted waiting with my condition. Then they directed me to the floor of ENT department. Waited awhile again. Doctor was nice but didnt speak english well it was a bit difficult to navigate. She gave me prescription for antibiotics and few other meds. Went to the pharmacy and waited for over half an hour before they handed me the bill. Which was around to 11 thousand Baht (with flue shot). The medicine worked quite well and after few days I felt better. But I feel they're expensive for rather simple procedures. Their price is almost like Singapore in which it shouldn't have been that way. Overall, they could've been a bit cheaper.

A warning!! I had plastic surgery & was on the table for 8 hrs, then a night in ICU. It was criminal how the 3 nurses treated me while under their care. They handled me roughly, example: ripping a pillow from under my head, they were cruel, spoke to me (with limited English but that's to be expected) like a dog & would not do my regular Ob's. I couldn't believe it. My IV disconnected which contained my pain killer, antibiotics & fluid & soaked the bed. The buzzer was placed out of reach & I was wet through & in agony. I waited 2 hours (there was clock up on the wall) & started yelling for help. When a nurse finally arrived, I explained the bed was wet. She said "Too bad. You wait till morning." I asked, can I at least have a towel. She tossed it at me & without sterilizing, re-connected the empty IV bag. Scolded me in Thai & promptly left the room. Another 4 hours went by & I was not checked. I'm pretty tough but I have to admit, I sobbed in pain & waited for that sun to come up, knowing there'd be a shift change. In the morning, not one person would hear me. Each time I tried to tell someone what had happened, they turned & left my room, even my surgeon. Thankfully, they transferred me to another ward but not before another nurse, shoved a clipboard under my nose saying, "Sign here, sign here!" And it was not polite either. She following me into lifts & all the way to the next ward, repeating "Sign here" & into my room. I did not sign. Turns out it was a disclaimer for their actions. Where was their duty of care?! It did not exist. I am sadly disappointed with the entire experience. Disappointed in my surgeon & very sorry I decided to try Bangkok Hospital & not go where I had been before, which was the Yanhee hospital in Bangkok. The treatment & care I received there was far superior compared to the Bangkok hospital. After 4 months, my face-lift is already dropping. I strongly recommend that you take your hard earned money & go elsewhere. This hospital is an absolute & utter nightmare.

While the surgeon was actually good, the place deserves a minus rating for their quality, service, cleanliness and professionalism. 1). Originally mid-diagnosed symptoms and only after insisting on further tests did they realize there was an emergency appendectomy required. 2) I was away and they had trouble clearing my cc payment over the phone. I was hours away while the patient was in the operating room. Threatened to delay an emergency, life threatening treatment until the cc cleared or else I came. My wife could have died! I had already paid a deposit before leaving. What is WRONG with this place. Thank heaven above I finally got the bank to clear the payment. On this point I am utterly appalled. Their mantra should be “money first, health and well being … 2nd or 3rd…” 3). Billing. Surprisingly the expenses (which are way above any other hospital in the area) were exactly equal to the estimate. This hospital is merely a money machine. This is not the service, professionalism or quality you would expect of a leading hospital chain in Thailand. 4). Not clean. Level of cleanliness is 3rd world and again out of place for a leading hospital in Thailand. In summary, avoid if you can. This is NOt the quality you will get from the “Bangkok Hospital” chain that one would otherwise experience in Bangkok itself or Chiang Mai.

I visited the neurology department because I was experiencing dizziness. The doctor told me it was because I was not sleeping well. I tried to explain to her that I had had sleep issues all my life and it was not likely that there was all of a sudden causing dizziness. She didn't want to listen to a word I said it was a complete waste of time and money. Found out the dizziness was related to a massage I was getting. The massage lady was pushing wrong on my neck. I switched massage person and the headaches went away.

My wife and I - and our son and grandson as well - have been using the Bangkok Hospital in Phuket for over 15 years. We have our annual medical check ups there, and it’s all done most professionally. The medical staff - doctors and nurses and administration people - are excellent. Caring and concerned about their patients. They have, over the years, picked up problems we had which the doctors in our home country have missed. It’s NOT a “third world” operation, and frankly I trust them more than the medics in North America. Sometimes the English is a bit of a struggle, but all the reports and assessments and medical advice is written in plain and good English, so one need not worry about that. There is also a most helpful and efficient English “facilitator”, one James Cawood, who is ever-.present in the unlikely event of language problems. All in all a fine Establishment, and we trust them completely.

No help at all, my dad came for two appointments. Doctor didn’t explain the cause of the pain/swelling, just said the knee pain with eventually go away and gave useless prescriptions. 200$ waste of time and money. SHAME for such service

(Translated by Google) The service is very good. Impressed. Everyone who enters the room uses the word everyone. The service is very good until I feel like a important person. Need a plug, three eyes, underwear, milk, hair dryer, etc. are brought immediately. There is constant monitoring of pressure, temperature, symptoms close to the wheelchair service. Maintain different rooms Very caring about the patient Actually, occipital pain is able to walk, but every time it is time to go to physical therapy, staff will come. Get to the wheelchair room When he came to send him knocked on the door even though there was no one inside, we got up until the officer told me to take delivery inside the room. Is outside the hospital We could be a tennis player. A contractor, or design is possible. But in Bangkok Hospital Phuket, we can only be patients who have to take care and like. Pay attention to the patient like a special person. Ordinary food here is delicious. Oh, design every meal. Called on a Sunday to make an appointment with ENT doctor for later on in week- got appointment right away for that afternoon. I was in and out with medicine in hand in under 50 mins. The doctor was very kind and knowledgeable. All the staff members were very friendly and efficient. What a great experience overall. Don’t want to come back - but happy to if I have to. 😉

Subject: A Heartfelt Thank You to Nurse Jib for Outstanding ICU Care at Bangkok Hospital When our 1-year-old daughter, Abigail, was urgently admitted to the ICU due to recurrent seizures from a high fever, our emotional state was nothing short of frantic and deeply worried. It was in this trying period that we encountered Nurse Jib, whose care and expertise became a source of both medical and emotional support for our family. Nurse Jib went above and beyond the call of duty, consistently providing meticulous and compassionate care for Abigail. Each medical decision she made was done promptly, accurately, and with a level of professionalism that set our minds at ease, even during the most uncertain moments. What sets Nurse Jib apart is not just her medical skills, but also her remarkable ability to empathize with us as anxious parents. She was always there to offer comforting words, to explain procedures and next steps, and to ease our concerns, all without sacrificing the high quality of care provided to our daughter. Nurse Jib, we can't adequately express how grateful we are for your outstanding care and comfort during this critical chapter in our lives. Your work goes beyond mere medical treatment—you've made an indelible impact on our family, and for that, we are eternally thankful. Your exceptional skills and kindness make you an exemplary nurse, and it was an honor to have you as part of our care team during this difficult time.

Seems like a reliable place but at 5.5 months pregnant I went to receive a regular check up and it ran me $400. Also, there were tests done in that checkup from blood work. Still have yet to receive any results from the blood work. Also I specifically told the doctor not to tell me the Sex of baby as it’s a surprise & we were doing a gender reveal and she laughs in my face and says “It’s a boy…It’s not a surprise anymore” Ruined my gender reveal for me & my son with 0 sympathy. I never want to go back to this hospital again.
