I am a typical American used to a lot of detail and attention to the natural look that is popular today, as opposed to the old school highlights. I had my doubts about BKK but did my research from other blonde travelers passing through. They have a lot of experience doing blonde hair, whereas many places in BKK do not. Everyone speaks english enough for explaining and understanding things. They also made sure I liked the toner before they put it on my whole head. They had two girls working on my balayage to make it go faster. Will be back and would recommend to anyone in BKK looking for your go to blonding/balayage place!

Visited Zahara last weekend. I am happy with the result, however the atmosphere and how they treat customers I didn't feel comfortable. There is a big sign at the entrance telling customers their rules and basically telling customers, that the company are not doing anything wrong and it is the customers' fault if they are late etc. Felt very unwelcome due to this sign. Also, I had to pay the full charges in advance before they even started. That never ever happened to me before in many different countries and cities. Another sign that they don't trust their own customers. Didn't like the ripped and broken covers they use to dye hair. Mine had lots of holes all around the trim. I am happy with their work though, they got the color right and the hair stylist asked multiple times to make sure she gets it right.

It's my second time here at Zahara. The first time was in July 2022 , got a haircut and it was brilliant. So came back here again for a cut and balayage. They did an amazing job this time as well! Very happy with their service and the team is very friendly, jolly and caring! The lady at the reception is really accommodating, listening to all your requirements and making sure you get the best service.Thank you Zahara❤️

I came to this salon having just moved to Bangkok. Ive had bad experiences with many hairdressers in asia with blonde ashy hair. I came in with dark roots and yellow tints. I put my trust in Kob, and she knew what she was doing! The colour and the cut were just right. Trust them, they know what they are doing, glad to have found them.

WOW! One of the best haircuts of my life … and I’m admittedly not an easy customer. In fact, I can by quite difficult! I have curly hair and those of us with curly and wavy hair know that it takes a special person to do this justice. For years, I’ve only been to stylists licensed by a certain curly-hair cutting procedure and when I walked into Zahara — I was nervous. Very! But the staff immediately put me at ease. So kind, friendly, and spoke terrific English. It was the best shampoo of my life too! However, customer service is one thing (and that was truly remarkable) but if we can’t get the cut right, all the friendliness in the world can’t substitute (sadly). So, imagine my delight when I met Cha! He is AMAZING. It was like watching an artist paint a picture — only with scissors. He was wonderful, and did a great job of both offering his opinion and asking mine. Often stylists can be a bit too much in one camp or another — he was perfectly in between. And the result is phenomenal. My curls have been restored (and improved) while managing the length well and bringing new shape and life into my hair! And in terms of value for money, I’m even more impressed. Please, be prepared to tip well because this is worth every baht!

I absolutely love this salon. I've been coming here for years (since 2014) and the girls just know what they're doing. I have blonde hair (naturally light brown)and I'm very particular about letting people bleach my hair, but this salon is 10/10. They're professional and honest. They listen to your expectations and are honest with you about what you should expect, then they do their best to make it happen. I'm always so happy with the color and the cuts! They take great care of you from the time you arrive until you leave! Best blonde salon in Bangkok by far!

Fist time visiting Bangkok and decided to get my hair done. All of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable - they helped me pick out the right treatment for my hair and I ended up with the purple hair of my dreams! Such a great experience. Would highly recommend!

Kob, Fon, Ohn were amazing, kind, and funny! They treated me very well and they made the entire experience fun and enjoyable. I was surprised how beautiful my hair turned out; not that I had low expectations, but the team EXCEEDED my expectations. For a full balayage, toner, and style, it only took 3 hours. They were very efficient and the whole team worked together to make me feel and look great!

Aussie girl traveling to Bangkok for surgery; of course getting my hair done pre-departure was not on on my agenda! Ashy blonde with 11 weeks of dark dark brown regrowth! It was going to be a challenge for any hair dresser. I came across Zahara hair studio with great reviews, so I thought why not give them a go. I was nervous to say the least. I had a really great first experience visiting the salon,I've heard about it from friends and i was really excited to start at new place. Sue ,the receptionist, is really patients and listen carefully what I want. Staffs are very friendly, the place is very neat, and the balayage they did on my hair is so brilliant. Yesterday I went to this hairdresser for the first time. I wanted to dye my hair blonde again and ended up here. I was warmly welcomed in the hair salon. What I really liked is that we discussed very well in good English what my wishes were. Everyone who works here is super nice and I am completely satisfied with the result. Good value for money. I’m giving two stars because I’ve been to Zahara a few times before and it was great. But my most recent visit was a disaster. I’d provided a ‘reference’ photograph (Anthea Turner style) that I was assured would look nice for my hair but then the hairdresser cut my hair about 4” shorter than on the photo, in a weird masculine really short hair style. More ‘Grant Bovey’ than Anthea, that’s for sure. I was flabbergasted when I was shown the back of my head and couldn’t believe what had been done. I’ve got a round face and it looked awful. I don’t know how she got it so wrong. It’s been a few days now but I’m still reeling. The manager was really kind, sympathetic and apologetic and explained that the stylist had had some ‘family troubles’ and offered to put in some hair extensions (which I politely declined). She offered to refund half the money I’d paid (you have to pay upfront) - I’d had highlights done as well - which was a bit cheeky because most of the highlighted bits were now on the shop floor - and she said she’d ask her boss if they could refund me 100% (which I think they should do - honestly the whole cut looks so dreadful the colour’s neither here or there). Anyway, I left my bank details for a refund. Anyway, later that night I was expecting 5650 BHT to be appearing in my account when I got a text from the manager saying she was only refunding me 650 BHT. So moral of that story is don’t leave the shop without your refund no matter how trustworthy and kind the manager seems. I’ll be wearing a hat for a few months while it grows out. I won’t be returning to Zahara. I think the stylist made a genuine mistake and we all have bad days but the dishonesty about the refund has been really hard to take.

The staff spoke great English and really made sure that I knew what I was getting before they did anything. It was a complicated style that I was asking for but they worked hard to get it right. Thank you so much to the team 😊

I came in from Germany with a very bad perm and absolutely destroyed hair. I could not even comb my hair properly. The team was super professional. They answered my messages immediately. Everyone was extremely accommodating. My hair was saved and it is even more beautiful than ever. I can highly recommend this hairdresser. It is every distance and money worth. My curly friends, this is not your place to be! Don’t get me wrong, the staff is super nice and I really enjoyed the head massage when they washed my hair. In case you have straight hair, this might be a great hairdresser. I however do have curly hair with less curly hair underneath. I asked them to cut the underneath hair a bit shorter, so in total I would have the same length. Now, I do have a weird layer of very short hair underneath and the remaining hair is longer, also when it’s dry. Also I wanted my hair to be shoulder length, it’s a bout 3 cm shorter now when dry due to my curls. My hairdresser apologised multiple times saying it’s difficult to cut my hair. I would have appreciated if they would have told me that they are not experienced cutting curly hair. I showed them a picture of how I want my hair cut, and they did sound pretty confident that they can do it.
