We went here unknowingly sold by a local tour operator. Price seemed reasonable - 1400baht for 2adults + 2 young children. Including hotel pick up drop off. This place is just around the corner from southern Pattaya and not as far as the tour operators make it seem. They say it’s far to gain price/value. Could have easily gone by taxi by ourselves for cheaper I think. Upon reaching, we were rushed to taste some dried coconut by an old man at the entrance who was pushy to make us buy there product. We declined. Then they pushed bananas for 100baht to feed the elephant. I didn’t mind but bananas were in a plastic bag. After opening it later, found half of them dried up and black /hard. There are several large tigers and young lions in separate CAGES. A lot of the tigers and leopard were definitely drugged as they slooped for another tourist to take photos with. They rushed us past these tiger cages as they either didnt want us to see or wanted us to pay for seeing them? You pass all these cages and reach the elephant ride area, there appeared to be 4 older elephants and they didn’t seem too happy. Just overworked . The place has made a makeshift up and down track for elephants to walk on around the property passing peoples houses, loads of rubbish and dumped construction material! This is not a park or a sanctuary by any means! It is a makeshift area to house these elephants close to Pattaya to gain visitors! The mahouts were least interested and clearly over their job and had no love for the animal in any way. On the 30 min ride, we were left with such mixed feelings as we definitely knew this was wrong and our money just assisted their cause further but on the other hand our little boys were so excited to see an elephant for he first time. Sad it had to be this way. Halfway down the ride, the mahout asks me if I would be interested to buy any “elephant teeth” As I clearly know ivory trade is banned and illegal in most parts of the world- I clearly said no thanks. He insisted and brought a box of what appeared to be necklaces in ivory etc. I removed my phone quickly and even have video evidence of him pushing ivory sales to me! Wasn’t happy! This place needs to be SHUT DOWN and government of Thailand needs to rescue all these animals. They are not meant to be in 4x4 cages and drugged 24x7 for tourists to take photos. Such a sad place! DO NOT GO HERE! After the ride they even sell video footage for 500baht and photos for 100baht each. They rushed us back to to the taxi so quickly after the ride like they are trying to hide all the abuse! This place goes by several names by local tour operators and they avoid using the real name as they know tourists would have read the reviews! They sell it to you as “elephant safari” “elephant trekking” “Changthai Thappraya safari and adventure park” and other names. I have a feeling the owners just change the name of the place as so many tourists leave negative 1 star reviews. I can’t even find the correct place on tripadvisor easily as they have apparently closed and reopened under a different name! The main board outside reads “THAI TONG ELEPHANT” but their receipts read “ CHANGTHAI THAPPRAYA” ? I have marked the location of this place for others to be careful off! It is on THANON THEP PRASIT Road south of Pattaya main strip.

Elephants is extremely inhumane and harmful to these majestic creatures As a responsible traveler and a person with moral integrity, I would highly discourage riding elephants during your travels. Elephants are not naturally built to carry heavy loads on their backs, and the practice of riding them causes a lot discomfort, pain, and long-term damage to their spines. Elephants used for tourism are often taken from their natural habitats, separated from their families, and ALWAYS subjected to cruel treatment to make them submissive to humans. They may seem at peace but 100% of tourism elephants that are ridden upon are trained using inhumane methods, the most common of with is PERMANENT USE OF THE BULLHOOK, they are also beaten with other sharp objects and are AWLAYS deprived of food and water. This is obviously extremely cruel and unethical practice that causes unnecessary suffering to these beautiful animals. Instead of riding elephants, observe them in their natural habitats, support elephant sanctuaries, and participate in responsible eco-tourism practices that prioritize animal welfare and conservation. Let's all do our part to protect these incredible animals and ensure their well-being.

Came here to ride an elephant. I paid 1000 baht for 2 people for 30 minutes. The staff was pushy about selling things. One lady was kinda rude and the animals were not in the greatest conditions either. Especially the tigers being kept on a chain that inhibited their movements

I would have given it 0 stars but no option there. Disgusting experience. All the animals are drugged and tortured and treated very badly. You should avoid this place if you have any empathy for any animal. I'm ashamed that I've had his experience. Worst place to visit in Pattaya and may be in whole of Thailand.

DO NOT ever go to a place where they ride the elephants! They ABUSE their elephants! Go only to sanctuaries! The elephants have to go through what the ELEPHANT ABUSE industry calls the SOUL CRUSH where they are forced into a tiny cage they cannot move in and then brutally beaten until they become docile and compliant. DON'T SUPPORT ANIMAL CRUELTY

Is this what you want to do and show your kids an example? The cages is very small for those big animals, it's a very famous attraction all around Thailand for tourists, but do you find it funny to take pics with wild animals on the chain holding their tail???!!!

One of its kind experience to shoot real 9mms and a few other bores, shotguns, rifles. Real bullets. Inexpensive for the fun you will have. Beware of man at gun counter - he is always in a foul mood. Do buy the coconut chips being sold at the gate by an old gentleman. Great chips.

Sad to see the tigers drugged that they couldn't even get up. Had to be pushed to sit up for those wanting to take photos. These lovely creatures need to be in their own habitat

I'm here for the first time. It is a Safari & Adventure park. Elephants and tigers can be seen inside this park & there are also shooting games. There are many types of games (Buggy Junp, Phaya Tarzen, Elephent Trekking. E.T.C). We have had many experiences in this park. Like this park very much.

(Translated by Google) Awful place! Never NEVER come here, especially with children! Territory trash! Srach is complete. Narrow paths scary to ride. The driver twice got down and left !!! I was with a child of 6 years old, paid for her as an adult. My daughter was scared, cried, his name was loud! This was repeated two times. Somehow not having finished their time, they returned. The impressions are terrible! I went to talk with the administration. Somehow they understood what was the matter, but refused to refund even part of the money! They said - “the elephants took the money and left” In general, they just threw the money in the trash, in the literal and figurative sense of the word!

I and my girlfriend were at that place where Thai Tong Elephant Land existed. This was on January 4th, 2024. A man that was standing close to the entrance, said that there are no more elephants here. All of the elephants had been transported to Chon Buri City. I took two pictures at the place at Thepprasit Road, which I've added.
