We have been going to this location for over a decade now. Unfortunately, during our last trip, we have noticed a huge lack of security, in addition to all the minor issues that we have been ignoring in the past several years. Issues such as lack of Hood Fan in the kitchen and for equipment inside the actual kitchen. The fan was not working well the bathroom was not the best either the showerhead has issues and everything in there is pretty old. Despite what the offer they’re charging you as much as a brand new place. So do you want pretty much get what you pay for. And again unfortunately the customer service is really poor.

Smokers heaven. While the motel is located in a great spot, is clean, rooms are very nice and the staff is helpful, it is a smoker’s heaven. You can’t smoke in the rooms (at least not most) but there are ashtrays in every single area in the motel. They have lots of chairs and chill areas out side the room, but they are all littered with ashtrays. The motel is basically inviting and encouraging smokers to light up and stink up the place. As much as I liked the motel I won’t be able to recommend it nor stay here in the future.

Liked · Location is okay, the word resort should not be in name. This place charged us 620 dollars for 2 nights. We didn't stay the second because it was so hot and the air conditioning didn't even work properly. With proper ac the most this place should be charging is 150 a night. Way over priced and the wifi password wasn't even in the room as they said it should. Owner chatted with me the morning we left and said he would look a getting us a refund for the night we didn't stay. That never happened either. Just terrible place to stay all together. Would never give my hard earned money to them again.

This is the second year that we’ve stayed at the Okanogan Lakefront Resort during our summer holidays. The rooms are clean and functional, the mezzanine areas are really nice for hanging out and relaxing. The lake views can’t be beat! With that said, what keeps us coming back is the casual, laid back atmosphere created by Doug and his crew. We especially love hanging out with Marley and Jinx! Keep up the great work! We will definitely be back and recommend this resort to anyone vacationing in the Penticton area.

Went to a wedding in the area this past weekend and a bunch of us stayed here at the recommendation from a friend and I am so glad we did. The rooms were clean, the AC was great and the vibe of the hotel was amazing. The staff was extremely accommodating and the other guests you find yourself running into in the common areas were in great spirits. The location is amazing as it is a short walk to probably the liveliest beach on the Okanagan, restaurants, shops and various activities. There was always something to do at anytime of the day or night. I will highly recommend it for families, couples and anyone looking for a place that they can kick back and relax.

Our Second year staying with them. clean comfortable rooms, location is amazing especially for people with young kids or elderly people just walk across the street to the beach. Restaurants are within walking distance makes for an amazing vacation. Staff are very friendly they keep the grounds clean beautiful flowers can’t wait to visit again next year.

Wonderful renovated motel. Right across the lake . Very clean, spacious modern suites. We had a balcony right overlooking the lake. Staff is very friendly . Motel has restaurants, ice cream, adventure park etc all close by. We went for a family vacation. We will definitely be going back.

Our stay at the motel was perfect. The location is key to enjoying the beach front, Wibit, restaurants and boardwalk. The rooms are a little dated but extremely comfortable & clean and are being renovated/restyled by next summer. The staff were friendly, helpful and always available to us. Thank you, we will be back.

My family and I have stayed at Okanagan Lakefront Resort for about ten years now, even dating back to when it was called Rochester. We book around 9 rooms a year, and have experienced many different management here. However, this will be the last year we come and spend our money here. I had a previous 5 star review posted, four years ago, which I have now deleted as the management has now changed. Unfortunately, our kayaks and paddle boards were stolen from the property. When we requested security footages, the new management made it very clear they will not share us the footages and only to the police. The reason for this was to protect all in the video, AKA the people stealing our property. The new management does not stay on the property and stays at the resort next door, making it difficult to reach. We spend around $10,000 every year here and there’s no room cleaning service either. Previously, the old management had breakfast service, coffee, etc available on the property whereas the new management does not. It is small things like this that made us come back. However, after our property was stolen, and the reaction from management it was clear it is time for our family to move on to a new resort.

Room clean, bed super comfortable. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because we were right off the communal deck- large group took it over so that we were unable to enjoy it. Service hard to rate, keyless check in, had no reason to use any service. Great location right across from lake/beach.

This place was pretty decent. They managed to take us in at the very last minute. It was actually really clean compared to some of the other motels on that street and the front desk clerks were really friendly. The bed and pillows were comfy but the pull out bed wasn’t. Other than that I don’t have anything bad to say about the room. Obviously not a 5 star hotel, but still really good compared to all the other 3 stars on the street.

We had a wonderful 2 day stay The rooms were very tidy and neatly set for the incoming guest. Really, just a perfect stay with an incredible location across from the beach. Never going to check other properties, will simply call and reserve again. 👍👍👍 Bruce

It is an older hotel. But I have a thing for older hotels. The Lakefront did not disappoint. Nice big rooms perfect location and a laid back vibe perfect for a weekend getaway. Next time we choose Penticton we will be choosing here again

I just returned from a week long vacation in Penticton and cannot say enough great things about my stay. We arrived a little before check in and were informed our room was ready and we could check in early. The check in was prompt and easy and there were no surprise fees or unexpected costs with our stay. Our room was spacious and we were delighted with the kitchen size/cutlery etc included. The space was clean and newly renovated with great beachy colours. The ac worked well and was much needed in the 35+ weather daily. The location cannot be beat (literally across the street from the beach and so close to the water obstacle course). There are awesome "community" spaces setup with chairs and BBQs for guests, and while there were ash trays here, I didn't even notice. The other guests who smoked were courteous and did so away from myself and my son if we were up there enjoying the view or cooking. I didn't notice any issues with smoke smell at all on the property, including the rooms (and I'm quite sensitive to it). The staff were really what made the stay though. Every staff member was friendly, approachable, kind, and went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed, from an extra towel to refilling the coffee or fruit when we walked in if it was low. Doug was especially fabulous. He took time to make sure we were happy and taken care of, and always went above and beyond (he offered to bring me a coffee while I fed my son at the crack of dawn every morning!) I just loved how much pride he takes in his resort, up before the office opened each morning preparing coffee and breakfast, sweeping the streets and sidewalk from garbage, watering the plants to keep them alive and welcoming, and even putting his own dinner on hold to take care of us. If you have a chance to stay somewhere in Penticton, absolutely book here. This is my new yearly go to!

Only negative thing I’d say about this hotel is the mattresses are super hard. Like rock hard. I recommend bringing a mattress topper if you’re road tripping! Definitely one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever walked into, and the staff was extremely kind and responsive!!

My mom and dad started here a few days ago. Management is good. The rooms are clean. I gave you two stars because their room was beside an older woman who chimney smokes outside their room every two hours. Couldn't even open their room without smelling up their room. Couldn't sit outside and enjoy the weather. They asked her not to smoke so close to the room and her reply is mind your own business. When they were leaving she was smoking outside again so their bags, car and clothes smelled like cigarette smoke. Gross. They won't be coming back. It's sad that a beautiful place like this is ruined by smokers.

This owner and his staff were lovely! The location is perfect! And the room was great- they are a great bunch and I would highly recommend this charming renovated motel! I look forward to coming back.

Our room was quaint and clean. I loved that some classic jukebox oldies were playing in our room upon our arrival. Outside was quite a bit dated though. What threw me off to not give 4 or 5 stars though was during the registration as I was told straight out if were suspected to have drugs that the owner could just storm our room! This was so darn weird! And a total new one! I never use drugs and am an upfront honest guest always each stay and I stay at lots of motels and hotels. So that was so weird! Other than that very weird aspect the young pitched to me upon signing in and the outdated aspect, for $125 it is not too bad!

The energy and service provided by the team here is terrific! I recommend you consider on your next trip - we will book again for sure! The location is perfect, the friendly, warm honest approach they have to running this resort should be the gold standard and the front grass area (plus the shared over deck) are also a lovely place to sip a bevy and play cards after a wonderful day at the lake, channel, KVR bike trails or what ever is on your wish list!

Amazing place, amazing staff. As soon as I arrived I knew it would be an amazing week. I went for a week with my family. The staff and management promote a personal feel in so many ways. They have coffee/tea and light continental breakfast food. at the front every morning and guests grab a coffee and chit chat as the day starts. There are 3 patio areas to gather to bbq a dinner or play games, there is fun music on the front lawn and chairs so you can have a beverage, groove and watch the world go by. The location is perfect, right on the beach near everything you need. We were also able to bring our dog, he also had the best time running around meeting people. The 1 bedroom suite was perfect for our family. It was clean and modern. So much care goes into making the rooms with little candies, chocolate mints and other touches, There are a few hotels side by side that look a bit similar, this is the one to pick - is the special one. We have stayed at one of the others in the past. We are already looking forward to our stay next year!

Had an absolute blast staying here! Everyone is super friendly (Especially Marley), and the whole place just puts off the most relaxing vibe. The location is excellent; right on the beach and just a short walk to lots of fun places. The rooms are very clean and well furnished. We didn't get a chance to fire up any of the barbeques that are there for guest use, but we'll definitely be back. 😁
