My
grandmother
had
surgery
in
early
June
at
this
hospital
(4th
floor).
The
surgery
done
by
Dr.
Taylor
went
well,
he
even
called
my
grandmother
the
day
before
and
stopped
by
to
see
my
grandmother
a
few
days
after,
twice.
Wanda,
a
care
aide,
and
Brooklyn,
a
nurse,
were
excellent
care
staff.
However,
administration
was
another
matter.
It
was
very
difficult
to
get
through
to
reception
(we
live
out
of
province)
and
when
we
did,
the
women
are
miserable
and
do
not
bother
to
provide
any
information
on
updates
(“I
don’t
know.
I
haven’t
seen
her
today.
Her
room
is
at
the
end
of
the
hall.”).
We
did
not
receive
callbacks
from
a
couple
of
the
nurses.
A
lot
of
the
nurses
are
young,
in
their
twenties
and
are
“travelling
nurses”
as
the
hospital
is
short
staffed.
How
seriously
are
they
taking
their
job?
My
grandmother
did
not
like
her
physiotherapist
as
she
could
not
understand
his
accent
and
requested
a
different
therapist,
this
request
was
denied.
It
was
later
found
out
that
this
therapist
has
had
a
lot
of
complaints.
My
grandmother
only
had
physio
for
2-3
days
and
then
we
found
out
she
was
discharged.
She
was
definitely
not
ready
to
go
home
yet.
My
cousin
had
only
a
few
hours
to
get
things
ready
and
make
arrangements
with
her
work
to
take
time
off.
A
different
physiotherapist
visited
my
grandmother
at
her
home
a
few
days
later
and
confirmed
that
she
had
been
discharged
too
soon.
We
later
found
out
that
my
grandmother
was
discharged
earlier
because
of
the
bed
shortage
in
the
hospital.
We
later
found
out
that
a
lot
of
people
who
had
day
surgery
were
sitting
in
the
hall
after
due
to
no
rooms
(we
were
told
there
was
a
line-up
of
people;
second
floor).
No
communication
at
this
hospital.
