My husband and I decided to stay here for our anniversary. We picked this hotel because of the close proximity to the water and what looked like really nice rooms. However, we were very disappointed with our stay here. The hotel has recently been renovated to make it appear nicer than it actually is. However, the renovations don't go much beyond fresh paint, linens, and accessories. Reasons not to stay here: - bugs! We were constantly killing bugs that came into the room from under the baseboards (apparently silicone isn't needed for a hotel facelift). Our floor was gross by our last day by constantly having to kill spiders, woof bugs, and ants with our shoes. I'm not exaggerating when I say we killed over twenty in a five minute window. - Cleaning: the hotel doesn't clean your room during your stay in an effort to conserve water. I get this with sheets/towels but at a beach 'resort' sweeping floors (especially when they're covered in bugs) is important. The room was also not cleaned well when we first checked in. There was hair left from previous guests in the shower and on the bathroom floor when we checked in. - hot water: although they conserve water by not giving fresh linens they recommend that you leave the water running for 5 minutes in order to get hot water. - coffee: this is a very minimal complaint in the grand scheme of issues but the coffee offered is instant coffee. For $300 plus a night an actually coffee maker would have been nice. So learn from our mistakes and book somewhere else

For our annual large family getaway we spent last 4 nights at the Penthouse of the Kettle Valley Beach Resort and it was nothing short of amazing. The space accommodated us so well with the bonus of an amazing view and amenities right on the main strip. We had kids ranging from 1 to 5 years old and everything about the place and the location was perfect for all of us! The design and aesthetic of the penthouse was so beautiful and relaxing and the managers were so receptive and accommodating to all our needs! We are excited to be back in hopefully the not so distant future!

Our family lucked out finding such an amazing place to accommodate our large family. Aesthetically stunning, close to everything you need or want. The beach is so close as well as many more activities that we could fit in. The Host, manager and staff go above and beyond to make it such a great vacation experience. I’m so glad I need not continue to look any further. This is it!!!

I wasnt expecting much given the age of the hotel. The rooms have had a facelift and are clean. I have worked in hotels before and this is really all I ask for, a clean, quiet place to lay my head. My only complaint was the bed. It was rock hard and the pillows feel like they are cheap stiff pillows. I really wish i could have given a 5 star but the beds! Oh they need new beds.

Everything was great, futon best for two children, rather than adult and 1 child but that was explained to us at time of booking and it was our choice. Bought a watermelon and struggled with only dinner knife. Called regarding ants and was serviced clean and sorted within 10 minutes. Would not hesitate to stay again. Half our party decided to stay an addt’l night and we were accommodated to move to smaller room with easy transition. Very clean and well cared for!

At time of booking, I told them that I don't do stairs very well. Our room had an 8" step-up into the bathroom and sink area. Almost did a face-plant. Otherwise; very clean and nicely redecorated. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant adjacent to the resort was excellent.

My room was a good size. Everything is newly renovated and looks really nice. The bed was comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet. My only issue was the very noisy AC that had to be kept on due to the heat. It sounded like I was in a jumbo jet. The patio is a nice spot for coffee or a glass of wine. Plenty of parking. I liked the BBQ and fire pit area. Lots of spots to sit, although it was too hot and dry for the fire pit and there is a fire ban on. The beautiful clean beach was literally across the street and there's a great cafe/restaurant with a big patio and there's happy hour every afternoon. There are several other restaurants close by but make sure you get a reservation at least the day before as they fill up fast. Salty's is my favourite. Lots of activities nearby for kids at the small adventure park. Walking paths are also close. Loved staying there and I will definitely book again next year. Thanks

Hubby and I had a great three day/night trip to Penticton and a lovely stay at the Kettle Valley Beach Resort. The renovation to this lakefront motel was stylish and functional - this is, hands down, the best motel on Lakeshore Drive! We stayed in a Queen standard room, which was exactly what we needed for our quick visit. We parked right outside our room and walked everywhere - the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, the liquor store. The only time we drove was the one day we went to visit wineries in Naramata. Walk score: 100! The room was super clean. Loved the laid-back, coastal vibe of the decor. There were wood floors, a cute rug, a large print of the Okanagan lakefront from the 50s/60s. The room had a desk and chair, mini fridge, coffee maker. The sink was in the room, toilet and tub were in a very small, separate space. There was hanging space in the closet but no drawers so we only unpacked stuff that could be hung, otherwise we just kept things in our bags. There is one luggage rack provided but we had two pieces of luggage so we used the chair to keep the other bag off the floor. Not a big deal for a short trip. We had a raised patio outside our door which was quite spacious. We used it every afternoon/evening to drink wine and enjoy the fresh air. Our only wish for the space was the motel to update the hot water supply. They do explain that the water needs to be run for 3-5 minutes to get hot water but it is such a waste of good, clean water and it does get hot (literally after 5 minutes), but it’s quite wasteful. The motel also provides a lot of “extras” that we found super convenient. They have beach towels, bags of ice for your coolers, two barbecues, picnic tables, covered seating and a fire pit. Who needs a pool when the lake is right there? Not us! But if you prefer a pool, just know there isn’t one. The staff is fantastic. We never saw them in person but they were always checking in with us and quick to respond to texts. Thanks to Shelly and Kendra! We HIGHLY recommend the Kettle Valley Beach Resort. 👍🏽👍🏽🏖

The room was nicely renovated, and perfect for our little family. I cannot rave enough about the location, close to everything. Beach is right across the street. My 6 year old spent most of her time going down the slide at the beach. Perfect for Littles. Kitchen was pretty well stocked for 4 people. Lost one star from me because although I understand hotels/motels are trying to save on water footprints by not providing fresh linens daily, I would have like someone to have come to clean our room at least once in our 4 night stay. Empty garbage/recycling (especially if you get a room with a kitchen, cooking creates full garbage) refill toilet paper, sweep/mop, etc. Though we were able to get garbage bags and toilet paper easily. It would have been nice to have someone come in and clean. My kids brought half the beach back with them lol. Other than that, was a great stay, and would stay there again for sure.

My family and friends have been going to Penticton for vacations for years. This place is the most amazing, accommodating and friendly place we have ever stayed. The location is second to none. The rooms have been freshly renovated and they have a great family area for barbecuing and having fun with the kids. The restaurant attatched to the resort is amazing and is open early in the morning for all types of coffee. We have been going there for 3 years and have already booked our 1 week family vacation for next year.

Location was perfect, and staff were friendly over text, although we didn't talk to anyone in person. Rooms were alright, although I would say an improvement would be to have 1 full-length mirror somewhere in the room, as it was hard to see any outfits with the small round mirror in the sink room. Was also strange that the sink and toilet were not in the same place, but we made do :p all-in-all, probably would stay again.

This place is very historic and quaint with complete room makeovers last year. Pin Pad entry, close to the beach, and great food. Free ice and gas fire pit at the back as well as nice lounging areas both in and out of the sun. Kendra and Shelly were great hostesses.

First time coming and Kendra and Shelly were so awesome. Quick to respond with any questions. We stayed in 2 bedroom first four days comfy beds and nice room. Moved to the four bedroom and we were happily surprised how beautiful and spacious it was. Had everything you would need. Only suggestion is a blackening blind or curtain in front room as hotel sign blinks all night. We loved the place so much we have booked again for next year. Thank you Kendra and Shelly for making our family vacation one for the books.

Newly renovated and decorated room. Small but had necessities: bed (comfortable) bathroom, small fridge, TV. Large step up to bathroom and vanity area. Self check-in with door code was convenient. Parking available just outside rooms. Great location right across from the lake…will be even more amazing in the summer. Can walk to nearby restaurants, etc.

Spent 3 days at this well located hotel in suite with kitchen. I spoke to the staff at end of stay about cleanliness concerns. It needs a deep clean (all the dirt and feathers at the door entry is an indication of what to expect inside) and I recommend a ceiling fan be put in the bedroom as the AC does not reach the bedroom and the bedroom’s window does not open. Nice location, cute Reno.

We stayed here for a fall weekend of wine tasting. We had great service from Kendra and Shelly who were very welcoming, and communicated with us leading up to, and all through our stay. The rooms are really cute, and newly decorated. We loved the outside seating area to enjoy our winery purchases. The location across from the beach, and walkable to all the great local restaurants and breweries can’t be beat.

Location was awesome. Room was cute and clean. A friend and I came from out of town to see a show at the SOEC and stayed here. It was a good price and decent walking distance. We picked it because there were a couple pubs/restaurants on the way. Only downfall was it was very noisy. There happened to be a group of people having a fire in the courtyard not too far from our room. It went well past midnight. I’m not sure if the people lived there seasonally or what. But I found that kind of strange.

Absolutely loved our stay here, staff was very helpful and friendly….the rooms are clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for our stay, everything in walking distance. And I have to say the fire pit area and barbecues were perfect for our family to enjoy evenings together. We can’t wait to come back again especially since it was very affordable.

Very nice location. Tho we didn’t have a face to face interaction with Shelly and Kendra, I could feel their sincerity and their desire to make our stay enjoyable over the phone and text messages. They were very attentive to us right from the get go. One thing tho was that the A/C unit was a bit noisy (it was rattling) to which friendly Jonathan attended to right away but wasn’t solved on the first try but did so the 2nd try. Location wise it is perfect, close to the beach, several restaurants to choose from, an ice cream place nearby too. Overall a very nice resort. Would definitely come back.

Where do I even start. Can't get better than this. Room was beautiful, a first time I booked somewhere and it was better than the photos. Can't believe this place was reasonably priced, my gawd ill be back. Service was beyond expectations and so simple to just walk in the room, no line ups, no waiting, ideal because the canal float and beach were waiting outside our door. Spent the evening walking up the lake waist deep because it's just so fresh and clear. Could not thank them enough for the genuine quality they put into this place. I could go on about everything but ill let u find out the rest yourself because I know you're coming to stay here. Who wouldn't? OK wait wait, sound proof. Neighbors apologized for their loud kids and dogs and I had no clue they had either because I heard nothing. That alone is worth staying here.

The room was nice but I was in one of the rooms with older pipes so the hot water took a little bit time to come on but they tell you that, so it is not a surprise

What an absolute gem! The place was squeaky clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds, cozy blankets and pillows, and a great location to boot! We phoned the resort after 9:00 pm on a Saturday night and Kendra, who answered, could not be more friendly and accomodating. Can't wait for another visit! Thanks again!! Tash and Craig

We went to Penticton for a hockey tournament. KVBR made checking in super simple. The rooms were super clean and modern. The staff checked in via text regularly. It was a wonderful place to stay!

The room looked exactly like the photos, bright and clean. This is a perfect location for a beach stay in Penticton, Okanagan beach is right across the street. Walking distance to many local restaurants, rose garden, Penticton Peach and downtown. Staff is friendly and helpful, parking and check in are easy. I would stay here again!

My mom, bestfriend, and I stayed at this resort last night for a concert. Every inche of the room was extremely clean, and felt fresh. The room was also cozy, and had everything we needed for a nights stay. The desk agent was great with communicating all the information via text, and checking in to make sure all was good. You can definitely tell this place takes a lot of pride in this resort. We will never stay anywhere else again. Thanks so much!

So we have never stayed here, so we cannot put down 5 stars. But, we had resos and then we had to cancel. The lady that handled the booking was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Just as when we booked, she was when we had to cancel. Our recommendation here is that this new place be given a chance. This is NOT The CROWN RESORT. The problem seems to be that there is some sort of cross-reference at Google and shows a pile of 1 stars but those are OLD, The Crown. The Kettle Valley Resort seems to only have been operational since June. The old reviews before then, seem to be terrible. DO NOT CONFUSE with the new.

Graced with a lakeside view and a beach 30 seconds away, the Kettle Valley Beach Resort stands out among the offerings in Penticton. Newly renovated rooms are comfortable and the hotel is within easy distance of the Okanagan’s best wineries. Above all, the hotel has a very attentive and welcoming staff, which greatly enhanced my experience. Check out Elma, a memorable Turkish restaurant next door, that is among the best Turkish restaurants I’ve experienced outside of Turkey.

This motel is under new ownership. There was a really large renovation. If we had any concerns or questions, they were addressed as soon as possible. There are still issues that need to be addressed and these are going to be presented to the new owner. Wonderful people work at the motel: Kendra, Shelly, JP, Jonathan, Mary and Evelyn (I’m sorry I don’t have the correct spelling of her name). I apologize if I missed anyone! Lattes were available at the new restaurant at this motel. Very important to someone from the land of espresso stands! That would be very important to people from Washington state! lol!

What a cute, newly renovated motel. Quaint! It is located right across from the beach, there is a place to sit together with friends around the firepit! The rooms are fresh with great design. The attached restaurant has the best patio in Penticton! An absolute gem- highly recommend! Will absolutely stay there again!

Our stay at the kettle valley beach resort was excellent. The location, directly across from the beach and close to restaurants and parks was perfect. The room was spotless and the beds super comfortable. Although close to everything the rooms are set back from the street and surprisingly quiet. I would definitely recommend KVR for your stay in Penticton.

My sister and I were impressed with the location, view and cleanliness of the penthouse suite. The beds were more comfortable than the ones we have at home. The staff at the resort were available and ensured we had everything we needed. I will definitely be back!
