Firstly, the staff is excellent, the hotel is clean, and it’s in a decent location. But… Ever wanted to know what sleeping outside a rave is like? Maybe you’re the type of person who can only sleep while bright neon blue light washes over you. Boy, do I have the room for you! Room 213 will have you awakening in a stupor, wondering if an alien craft has perhaps landed in the parking lot and soon praying one had to abduct you and whisk you away to a foreign place where a massive corporation whose sole purpose is hospitality would have the foresight not to put 50,000 lumens of bright blue led lights shining directly into your window all night. The photos I’ve attached to this review illustrate the unmatched atmosphere the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott offers.

Beautiful hotel, delicious breakfast supplied daily. Unfortunately then our stay was ruined when they decided to enter our room, when we had the do not disturb sign up. As a fire evacuee, all our important papers were in our room. We specifically asked that nobody enter the room. They violated that and provided absolutely no real concern over it. I can’t recommend them for that reason, a trust was violated and now I have to worry about identity theft.

The Penticton Marriott is generally fine. But in this era it is COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE to be putting single-use paper plates, plastic cutlery and plastic cups into the garbage after a meal. The breakfast service is fine - not outstanding but perfectly edible - but the hotel is using single-use plastic and paper for all guests that eat breakfast (quite a lot of people daily). Buy a dishwasher and hire another staff member to deal with reusable tableware! (Create another job in your community, yay!) Three of us stayed a few days in March 2022. The hotel still has a new feel to it which makes it feel “fancy” but it’s not actually fancy, just newer feeling than much of the competition. We chose this place because the pool was open during our visit, while other nearby hotels’ pools were undergoing maintenance at the time. The pool feels a little small but fine for kids. All staff that we encountered were very friendly.

Pleasantly surprised. Rooms are spotless and modern. Very clean new rooms with plenty of space. Bathroom was also a good size. Front desk service was efficient and very friendly. Lots of parking and in a good area. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway and had a lovely stay! Was a little worried based on the average Google rating but this is a great spot. Room and facilities were well equipped, clean, and spacious with an attractive modern aesthetic. We were in the 4th floor with a nice view of the surrounding hills. Complimentary continental breakfast includes hot food (we had omelettes & bacon one morning and scrambled eggs and sausage the other). Location is within easy walking distance of the downtown core. Would definitely stay here again!

The rooms were spotlessly clean, well appointed and incredibly quiet. The staff were great and when I left several items behind they assisted with UPS returning them to me. I would definitely stay here again!

I’ve stayed here a number of times since the opening. The staff are lovely the rooms are quiet and the bedding delightful! The daily breakfast included is also great. Lots of choice and the best bacon ever! This will continue to be my choice when I need a place to stay in penticton!! Thank you!!!

Great new hotel with decent facilities. Pool isn't very big, but it's newer than most in Penticton. Rooms are big and well equipped. The location is great if you need to go to the convention center but not the closest if you want to walk to beach. Though even that is about 10 to 15 mins, which really isn't bad.

New is nice, the room is beautiful but the pillows I didn't like, they started out fluffy but turned into a rock . The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have had, eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruit, oatmeal, cereal...lots of choices. Guest service was fast and friendly, Ishita was very helpful, I needed to print some tickets and she was very professional and helpful. Thank you.

Always a great experience at this hotel. There is a great complimentary breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffle station, pancake station, cereal, and juice milk and coffee. The rooms are spacious and modern with blackout curtains and great A/C.

Overall a nice place to stay. I liked the breakfast especially waffles. 24hours cafe. The rooms could be cleaner, especially the floors. No toothpaste in the room. Very quite. Easy check in check out.

Great location near the water. Very central to popular spots in the city. Hotel is pretty poorly run when it comes to the free breakfast. Needs work to clean up the queue and fix the seating situation.

Great location - a short 1.2km walk to the water front. Service was very friendly and accommodating Rooms were absolutely beautiful and super clean. I would recommend getting a floor suite, the ceilings are very high! 10/10

We enjoyed our recent stay for a ski getaway to Apex Mountain Resort. We'll be back later in the year to do a biking tour of Penticton- Naramata- Oliver. We were told they have a secure bike location for guests' bikes. Anyway, beautiful room, comfy bed, good breakfast provided and helpful staff everywhere.

My mind was blown last weekend when we stayed at this beautiful hotel while down in Penticton for a hockey tournament. They were incredibly accommodating, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff was incredible (yes Bobby! You're a legend!) And the location to arenas was perfection! Thank you Fairfield Penticton for the great stay 👍

We stayed here for the weekend, on a hockey tournament and it had to be by far the best hotel I’ve been too..(YES even with all those kids) it was great breakfast was always amazing and ready to go in the morning the staff was friendly and polite. The rooms were spacious and clean. Bobby had to be one of the nicest people at the front counter, was helpful and always went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having fun and also being taken care of. I can not wait to go back there and stay again as I wouldn’t want to stay at any other place. Thanks bobby and the great team of staff! You all rock !

Our experience at the Fairfield was great the room was very clean from top to bottom. They had a great continental breakfast for each morning which always kept us feeling nourished and left us on the right foot for the day! We would like to give a big shout out to Bobby (he works front desk and normally does the evening shifts) he made our day every time we walked through that door and went above and beyond when it came to customer service. (we miss you already bobby!)

Our minor hockey team stayed here Family Day weekend for a tournament. Rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and the kids loved the pool area. Easy check in and the free parking and breakfast were an added bonus. A 5 minute walk to the arena made the location extremely convenient. We were able to reserve an area to host a pizza party for our team, and staff took care of the entire clean up. Bobby at the front desk was awesome- checked in on us several times to ensure we had all we needed and was happy to help whenever asked. My only suggestions would be more seating in the pool area for parents watching kids swim and a gathering spot or bar in the lobby for adults to hang out once the kids go to bed. Overall we were really happy and would definitely return.

Love this hotel. Have stayed twice now for hockey tournaments and absolutely will be coming back. Rooms are clean, having a coffee maker in my room is so nice! The free breakfast downstairs is really good too! Bobby at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. He made such an impact on a lot of us while we were there. His friendly service, outgoing personality was not unnoticed!

UPDATE: HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY ANY REPRESENTATIVE as of December 28, 2022 If I could give No Stars I would. Stayed for our 10th Anniversary and it was horrible. We called ahead to see if we could upgrade our room, we were told to ask when we checked in. When we arrived we asked and were told that they were completely booked. They were not. We went to the room and it was not cleaned properly, I have photo proof. We did ask for it to be cleaned again when we went for dinner. When we came back the only thing we could see was that there was more hair in the tub and nothing else done. I proceeded to clean the surfaces with the white face cloth provided with my cleaner. When we checked out I showed the evidence and was told sorry, but did I tell someone? Really? I asked what they could do for us and was told that she could only give us 10% off. I sent 2 emails as requested and never received an email back or a call. We will never stay at this hotel or any of its affiliates. A clean room should always a top priority, especially with all the sickness in our world. Training your staff to clean properly should be your priority. If you need a top cleaning trainer give me a call. I think the least you could offer us is a couple of nights complimentary. I do expect someone to respond to this. I will update.

In the city for a medical appointment and I really needed to prioritize comfort. This was the right choice. I was able to get early check in which was very helpful and the room was perfect. In early December I paid $130 with the the CAA rate and I felt like that was a great deal. Glad to have a good option for a nice clean, quiet hotel in Penticton.

Nice new clean rooms. Has an indoor pool but its a tad small especially when several people want to use it. Includes a decent breakfast every morning. Would stay here again!

We have stayed before and had good service. There was a fire three days ago and we have yet to hear from anyone at the hotel. We were evacuated by the fire dept. we completely understand things happen but no communication and charges coming through our credit card without the ability to talk office staff is unacceptable. Can someone please call the hotel patrons that were affected by the evacuation.

Good:First off the breakfast was good. The location was great. Bad: the door did not lock on its own, so it really made me question the security of my belongings. And also the bath did not drain after a shower. Even till the next day. If you get rm221 check to see it this issue has been resolved. Really was not up to the marriott standard.

We booked with the Fairfield by Marriott Penticton for our wedding group of about 30+ rooms August 2022 (I'm sure our guests spent close to $25,000 - $30,000 staying here). The problems unfortunately come top down from their disaster of a manager Shawn Gill. If you need to get ahold of them, prepare to email at least 4 times before you'll get a response. If you call them, prepare for them to hang up on you OR place you on hold while you hear them take a personal call for a prescription refill. Many booking errors and back and forth to make corrections. We were optimistic that when we arrived the service would be better, however wasn't the case. As the bride and groom, we thought perhaps they would treat us nicely however, we were disappointed that they didn't even acknowledge our wedding. The front desk staff caused a lot of security risks by giving out our room number to whoever asked for it and even provided room keys to people NOT staying in the room to gain access. We had one guest staying with a baby and were using their first come first serve car charging station. The front desk called their room at 10pm telling them to move their car for an angry guest. When our guest explained she couldn't leave due to her sleeping baby, they hunted down her husband who was in the pool. The staff then allowed the angry guest to ask him to move his car (in swim trunks at 10:30pm). Unbelievably rude and unprofessional and unprofessional behaviour all around. If you're staying in Penticton I recommend booking somewhere different.

Nice new hotel. Very clean and modern. Beds were very comfy; not too hard, not too soft. A little off the beating path, so you'll have to drive to restaurants, beach etc. But well worth the stay.

We were on first floor facing the road. The lady said this is one of our quiet rooms. Couldn’t sleep the entire night due to the noise from traffic and seems like there was a truck dumping stuff the entire night. Could hear people from top floor walking and dropping stuff on the floor. I expected more from Marriott. Expensive but very low standard. NEVER STAYING here again!!! Worst night ever.

Our stay here was awesome, staff were friendly and assisted us with all requests. Great complimentary breakfast as well with lots of options. Hotel is very clean and housekeepers were great at coming when you requested but also respecting your privacy.

was a newer hotel and the place was very clean. i really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and everything was amazing about this hotel. the pool was nice, it was an indoor pool and the hot tub was relaxing. the only flaw was they were short staffed. one time i took my family to the pool but there was no towels, i asked the lady and she said that she didn’t have time. it didn’t bother me much but it was still an inconvenience for me. i really liked this hotel and i hope to come back here again next summer!
