One of best friend recommended to taste it's restaurants special parota Kothu parota, so we tried both egg n chicken kothu parota. I preferred chicken kothu parota over the egg and it's very tasty 😋😋 n delicious 🤤

The food is tasty here but bit pricer side. Kindly Don't order icecream here that's too costly for a scoop of vanilla ice-cream they charged ₹ 100.Porotta is not large but a single piece costs ₹ 30. And you might have to wait for sometime. Other than that the food, ambiance and the service is good.

Tried both dine in and take away. The quality of food was really good. Chicken biryani, mutton biryani, Fish Biryani, Vanjaram Fish fry, chicken grill, Lime juice, Roti, Chicken Tikka masala etc. Everything was good. The staffs were well behaved and the place was neat and clean. There is ample parking space, the restaurant is in the first floor.

What did I order? Paneer Pulao Prawn Fried Rice Chicken Fried Rice Prawn Biryani Crab Lollipop Each rice was completely different with regards to its taste. I liked the Prawn Fried Rice in particular as it tasted real good. Chicken rice was good as well but not as much as prawns. Paneer Pulao was awesome. Crab Lollipop shouldn’t be missed. Though it had only 4 pieces, it tasted divine. It cost little over ₹1000 for all the above menu and we, the family of 4 were fully contended.

i been to anjappar for many years and the taste remains same. i love the mutton nenjelumbu soup, biriyani, sapadu, lollipop chicken and many more. they are pioneer in the Chettinad cusine.

I went for dinner on 27th August 2022. I ordered a naattu kozhi rasam soup. They brought it in a miserable cup that had the smell of the detergent. The soup had the taste of the detergent and so we kept it aside. Then ordered for a boneless chicken 65, mutton chukka, chicken dosa. Every item was a great disaster and especially the mutton chukka was too hard, without any taste and the portion that they gave and the price they had charged was indigestible. As we ate for the sake of ordering the food was extremely spicy that we literally felt like running to grab something sweet. The steward observing me offered me a cup of curd with sugar which I ate. Thanking the kindness of the steward I left the hotel telling to myself never ever step in here again in life. The restaurant instantly gifted me with a severe ulcer pain that hasn’t subsided even till 24 hours. Just imagine the spice level of the food (and I’m someone who can eat spicy food, but this was something inexplicable). I sincerely urge the franchisee/ owner of that outlet to seriously look into how they can give good food to see happy customers. Paid a sum of ₹934/- for the most unkind disastrous food.

Had a chicken briyani and black pepper chicken fry with egg podimas. To be frank about briyani, there is nothing in it. No more masala taste and salt. Chicken is too hard. 260rs for this single briyani is totally simply waste.. Please dont take chicken briyani here. Next to pepper chicken fry, chicken was too hard and not too good.

Fast of all I'm so happy to eat interesting food, for chicken chettinad kozhi, and mutton greavy with mutton biriyani,, test was amazing, specially carey to me Mr. Narayanan raw, thanks for surprising......

We have tried Chicken 65 biriyani as they said this one is their signature item. Taste was good but not like signature item. There are 5-6 pieces of fried chicken inside rice bowl. Quantity is enough for one person. Price-265 which seems bit higher

Nothing apart from brand name and ambience. The so called speciality Kothu Chicken Biryani is just 2 small fry pieces put in tomato greavy and served along with flavoured rice.

Not upto the expectation... only plus I felt is parking space available in the service road... U can give a try pan beeda sold at the entrance of the restaurant... It's worth buying...

Mutton kola biryani has 3 small mutton balls which does not justify the quantity of Rice or the Price of the Biryani. The service is disastrous at best, Not enough waiters leads to long wait times and unorganised customer orders. Stay Away from this place.

One of the worst restaurant ever. The server and the manager MR. SAI was very rude. He argued very roughly. Although i paid my bill through the qr code which they showed, my transaction was successful. I showed to them also, they told they didnt recieve money and started to shout. They didnt allow me to speak itself.i was forced to make another payment and was told i will get my previous bill amount as return within few days. Its been one month and no money has come. They are non responsive when i contact them. DONT EVER GO TO THIS SCAM PLACE WHICH THEY CALL AS A RESTAURANT. They will cheat and suck our hard earned money. BEST SCAMMERS OF INDIA.worst behaviour.

Restaurant is not maintained. Manager on the floor on Dec-28-2023 is worst , not a customer service oriented employee. Restroom or wash area is so disgusting 🤮. Entire restaurant had napkin balls and too smelly. Also Cannot enter to even wash the hand, toilets are so contagious. This shows the quality of the manager on the floor. For paper towels manager is advising the customer to go back and check rather fixing it. Very very unfriendly manager. Few items are not even closer to as is compare to other restaurants. Manager is arguing that that’s how the taste supposed to be. Rather fixing, manager was so busy he having his food while so many customers are still out there . Serving employees are excellent !

A BIG NO! This shop is pathetic. I ordered Naatu kozhi rasam soup for delivery and the first time the soup had a small strand of hair and they sent a replacement that had a huge strand of hair and one piece plastic. No use of getting a replacement cannot imagine the plight of the kitchen or the staff.

The supervisor tall hefty guy is least bothered to respond when we requested for a table and the tables were not cleaned. People below him working better than him and managing the situ.

If one was looking for a variety in non - veg dishes. It's the best place. Good service and food.

I have been addicted to anjappar taste and the way they prepare. I have ordered nethili fish fry,chicken noodles and Briyani all the dishes were really awesome. I'm very much happy and satisfied. Here you can feel the privacy to chill out with your friend and family. Service was also really good.

Pathetic hotel.. i dont know if they really want to run the restaurant or do they think they are running it for free. I asked them why they added too much salt in chicken tikka . Their answer was this is what it is. Mutton briyani had 1 egg and bones only . They said this is what is mutton briyani is. If you wanto to waste your money go ahead or if you want to upset yourself unfortunately like me feel free to go.

Very Bad experience tonight.. Came here with my family.. Ordered "ELANEER PAYASAM" for desert . the milk used for making the payasam was sour.. It gave a stinking smell too.. It was really horrible.. We informed the manager immediately.. But the response was very negative. They did not care about our comment's.. We thought they might not add the "ELANEER PAYASAM" in our bill.. But to our surprise they added that in our bill. We told them we are not going to pay for the "ELANEER PAYASAM".. But they demanded full.money for the spoiled rotten "ELANEER PAYASAM".. They were not polite in their behaviour too.. They were so commanding.. Please dont buy "ELANEER PAYASAM" from this outlet.. Sooooooooooooo Baddddddd.... Had worst experience with my family...

I ordered nattu koli briyani, below average taste like empty briyani. And chicken also not cooked properly and very small 2 pcs chicken available in briyani. Am very disappointed 😔. In the picture on menu card huge quantity, egg, big pcs of chicken 🍗. NOT WORTHY FOR THE COST.

Ordered Anjappar poricha Kozhi from the Adyar outlet via Swiggy. They have sent rotten chicken. It is stinking so bad, I threw the entire pack away. Every single piece was rotten. Very shocking that a renowned outlet could send completely rotten food.

We ordered mutton biriyani,chettinadu chicken masala idiyappam and porotta… biriyani was average with little quantity. Pororotta were cooked earlier and they just made warm upon our order. Overall our experience was not good.

really good restaurant to try in Adyar, more suitable for families, and even for bachelors or as a group of members... Biriyani was better there, not the best one, but a good one... Anjappar actually had many branches across Chennai, some years back, but due to some losses or some internal issues, most of 'em are closed, but this one in Adyar is a busy one. But the parking here is a slight issue... Two wheelers won't have much issues, but four-wheelers would be having some. Overall, it's a good restaurant to have a lunch or dinner, in the locality of Adyar.

Awesome taste. Elaneer payasam was great taste. Vanjaram fish fry and other non veg dishes were really tasty. I will strongly recommend to visit this place often.

Ordered schezwan rice but instead got "Pepper Burnt Rice". Briyani quantity is also very much low when compared to the cost. When asked for normal water, server fills in the glass and slams the glass in the table. Overall, had a teribble experience.

Didn't Like 1)Non Veg regular meals: the Rice was overcooked and cloggy. The crunches they kept instead of appalam was super hard. Everything was too small. 2) Current went off. Everything stopped. They don't have power backup. The billing didn't start up.

When speaking of Anjappar, I would personally rate their chicken/mutton Dosas and chicken gravies to be their speciality. The service is good as well. Although their Biryani is sought after, it only rates secondary, as I find it a bit dry and bland. I have tried their Naatukozhi masala (Desi murgh gravy) and pepper chicken gravy
