Akhund Darweza Baba 'RA" Akhund Darweza Baba is Sheikh Darwezai ibn Gada ibn Sa’di al-Chistii, born either in 1533 or 1549 (depending on the authority quoted) and died in 1048/1638, in the reign of Mughal Shah Jahan Shah. An accomplished scholar of formal outward religious sciences and lore, as well as a powerful mystic, and a well accomplished poet in Pashtu and Persian, Sheikh Darweza's tomb lies in Hazarkhwani Graveyard, Peshawar, Pakistan, and may Allah be well pleased with him, may his Secret be sanctified. Aamin. Hazrat Darweza is the author of the following books; Tadhkirat al-Abrar wal-Ashrar (Persian), Irshad al-Talibin (Persian), Irshad al-Muridin (Persian), Makhzan al-Islam (Pushtu completed by his son ‘Abd al- Karim), Sharh Qasidah Amali (Persian) and Sharh Asma’al-Husna (Persian).

A unique tomb where the entry of ladies prohibited. I think why? Ladies are the main revenues producers for any shrine. Wonderful decision from tomb managent. In childhood i.e late 1990 we were introduced to this tomb through our Pashto text book. Later I visited several time in this tomb during 1996 to 1999
