The best Banana Leaf Rice in PJ! Affordable price of variety of fish. The curry gravy is so tasty. Need to come early to avoid the crowd. The restaurant is also clean and many table. Only the parking a bit of problem, but you still can double park your car.

A hidden gem among locals. Upon arrival, each diner is presented with a traditional banana leaf, setting the stage for an authentic dining experience. The restaurant operates with a distinctive serving style where attentive staff continually bring an array of delectable dishes to your table, offering each one and inquiring if it suits your taste. The highlight of this culinary journey is the remarkable depth and complexity of flavors found in the rich and aromatic curries. The carefully crafted dishes deliver an explosion of taste, tantalizing the palate with a blend of spices and seasonings that define the essence of Indian cuisine. The mutton curry and Chili stand out, offering a delightful and delicious kick that complements the overall meal experience. However, it's essential to note that the seating arrangements might be slightly snug, which may not be ideal for larger groups or individuals seeking ample personal space. Additionally, to navigate the ordering process smoothly, having some proficiency in Malay could be advantageous as the staff primarily communicate in the local language. For an immersive and authentic dining experience filled with rich flavors and cultural authenticity, this local Indian restaurant serves as a hidden treasure for those seeking a genuine taste of traditional Indian cuisine in a more localized setting.

Very popular restaurant for "Banana Leaf" rice. These days the leaf has been replaced with printed paper version of the Banana leaf. Good choice of Indian food available. Service was fast and friendly. Food served hot and tasty. Prices are affordable. Parking can be difficult to find during peak hours.

We ordered individual banana leaf rice that came with three sides and three curry sauces to select or mix with the rice, and added a deep fried fish each and ginger tea. In addition, we shared a deep fried quarter bird and a plate of curry lamb. The food was tasty and service was fast, although the restaurant is packed full most of time, with limited parking along the row of shops and road (double parking). Payment can be by credit card. Our bill came to RM115.40 for three adults.

We came here for tea and ordered roti canai telur bawang, teh tarik, curry puffs and vadai. Service was quick and they gave us the curry container to help ourselves. The roti was delicious as usual. Getting parking here is always a challenge.

We only had a few items such as tosai , prawn sambal & roti canai . So we can’t comment much on others . The tosai is ok . Roti canai is nice . Dhal is nice too . Prawn sambal is spicy and I think it’s not really well cooked as you still can see through the prawns . Price is reasonable and parking is ok during the weekend but not sure during the weekdays how ?

I used to frequent this place weekly years ago. We could sit outside under the trees. The shop is a lot bigger now but the food not necessarily better. A lot of things are precooked, especially the popular items like deep fried sotong and chicken. They come warm, not hot and crispy. Disappointed that the real banana leaves are not green wax paper. Teh tarik is still as awesome.

Food is nice. The best is their Lamb. The sotong is soft too. The fish is surprisingly not fishy/stinky! Note that this is a free flow in terms of veggies, rice and papadom. Meat is per order. All in all, our bills is 61.80rm. with Limau and Teh. Very full and satisfied.

A place for banana leaf rice lover! We visited the shop during lunch hour on Friday. The shop was very crowded but it doesn't affect the serving speed from the staff! We were served shortly right after seated, and the staff started offering us a variety of veg and protein dishes by our choice. I took the L-shaped fried chicken while the rest chose the fried fish. We have ordered some side dishes too like chicken malasa, prawn malasa, chicken 65 etc. The food overall was delicious!

Banana leaf here is good. Had the mutton and chicken curry and fried chicken as side dishes. Mutton is fresh and soft. Weekend crowd is heavy during lunch hour and may have to queue. Parking also can be an issue, but it’s expected lah given the location.

Saw many good reviews about this place so decided to give it a try. The roti canai was chewy and not crispy at all. Maybe I should have reminded the staff to make them 'garing garing'? The sotong goreng was tasty though, really crispy. Plus point goes to the staffs who took our order and the one who made our Teh tarik, just the perfect level of sweetness. The ikan bulus goreng lacked umph cos not fried long enough. The rest were not bad

One of my favourite Banana Leaf rice place, this is the go-to place for my cravings. Located at section PJ section 17, the shop is huge with good seatings, both airconditioned and no -airconditioned. Parking can be a hassle during peak dining hours. Don’t miss their Chicken Varuval!

We've always liked the food at Kanna. They have the nicest fried chicken which we enjoy and I like the crab curry on the weekend. We had lunch there today and unfortunately, there were a couple of things which we weren't pleased with. (1) The tin of utensils on our table was not cleaned properly. The spoons and forks were oily and you can see some food particles stuck on them. We informed one of the servers about it and he didn't say anything. He just went to get another tin of utensils and passed it to us, then walked away. (2) Found a piece of rubberband in the vegetables. Not a pleasing sight after having ate most of it already. Just had to share this experience we encountered today. Other than that, overall Kanna is a nice place to have a decent banana leaf meal.

One of my all time banana leaf rice places in Malaysia. The overall experience is great. So many good things to choose from; from the curries to the chutneys to the seafood to the fried onion 😍

Have been returning here for years. The food is just simply delicious. Try their specialty curries, salted fish and crab curries and you will be amazed. Service is amazingly fast and the waiters are all very professional.

Our regular BLR and miscellaneous Indian cuisine place. All types of roti available. We normally complement with fried squid, chicken 65 and fried tenggiri. Parking can sometimes be impossible, so do come during off peak hours or park slightly further away and walk.

Banana leaf here is super good. Lots of meat to choose from and all are fresh. I like their fried chicken which is quite tender and juicy. Price wise is also reasonable.

Service is very fast, taking orders and serving food. Banana Leaf Set taste similar as other places, truly enjoyed Chicken Masala. Chicken was moist and has strong curry flavour.

Serves nice banana leaf rice and their service is fast despite many customers. I had their fried triggeri fish and fried sotong, and ayam goreng 65. Food is very fresh and tasty. The place offers both aircon and non-AC dine-in. Their toilets and wash basins are clean. Carpark is very limited though. Pricing wise is reasonable. Spend RM23.80 per pax for banana leaf rice with chicken, sotong and fish to share, and a glass of drink. Their mango lassi was not nice tho. I wouldn't recomended it.

My first time having lunch here. The food are tasty and very happy with the staffs friendly service. It was heavy rain when we are leaving and the staff gave us complimentary umbrella to use and take home. What a superb treatment we received here and definitely will come again for my banana leaf curry rice.

Kanna curry house has improved post covid19. The roti canai has less sugar and we could eat it sunday lunch time. The vegetables for banana leaf rice are much better now and tastier. The fried senangin mum enjoyed. Kurma chicken and fried chicken still good. The only thing left to improve is the teh tarik and include freshly brewed maasala tea with cow milk which would top off the meal.

Decent roti canai. Fluffy & the Dhal was warm.. Still think Ravi's is better. I noticed how fast the vegetarian curry puffs & vadai's were being consumed...

One of the best banana leaf rice I've been before Very popular during lunch hour, has aircond space as well so it's quite cooling Food is 5/5 and food is fresh and hot. However, it can get a bit crowded during lunch hour and is quite noisy, so not that convenient to chat and have discussions And parking is quite hard to get as well

Roti is fresh and hot The best thing is the unlimited 3 diff curries for you to dip or banjir on your roti My go to is the roti bawang with dhal. They have vadai, tosai, and nasilemak options, too. Pretty fast service in the morning here.

Another well-known place for banana leaf rice. Service is super fast, staffs are very attentive. Curry is not that flavourful when compare with another similar shop. Parking can be quite challenging during peak dining hour.

I used to stay away from this place many years ago when their quality dropped ... But today, I thought I'd give it a go .. I was pleasantly surprised ... My meal was good. Vegetables were well prepared, crab curry was thick, spicy and flavorful, chicken varuval was ok ... staffs were attentive and prompt. Only down side was that the popodoms were soft / not crispy, a small issue. Was a huge improvement from years ago .

The shop is big and has lotsa tables which is very suitable for big groups. Their masala chicken is nice. Fried squids are rubbery though. Kambing is pretty soft in a good way.
