Of all the wedding reception I've attended, this is easily the best place to have a wedding experience. The food is fresh, superb and super tasty. The staff are very accommodating, I couldn't ask for a better team. The music, the place, the dessert, everything was perfect. For anyone who has no idea where to do their wedding reception, Kampachi Plaza 33 is the place to go! Keep it up, Kampachi, I'm happy to have experienced your excellent service.

I took their private room as my company hosted dinner for visitors from US. The restaurant was nearly empty during dinner on Tuesday. The private room able to fit 10 people. The chairs were a bit hard at the back, making it a bit discomfort to rest on it. We ordered several dishes to share and they were all delicious and fresh. The crews were very friendly and helpful as well.

After dining at Kampachi's outlet in EQ, my partner and I wanted to try out Plaza33 to see if there were any differences in service and overall food quality + variety. The outlet in EQ had slow service, and sadly it is the same at Plaza33's outlet as well. We waited close to 15 mins after sitting down to have our first order taken. Throughout the service, it was difficult to flag down someone to take our order and we were always told to wait. Once we managed to get hold of someone, we ordered everything possible so that we didn't have to go through the wait again. The variety is not as much compared to EQ (to be fair, the price is also lower here at RM178 per person compared to RM218 at EQ). The sashimi and most of the dishes were pretty good (especially the unagi, beef and halibut!), but sadly the grilled squid was not edible and had a really rubbery texture. It would've been a great experience if the service had been better. One thing to note, the green tea is priced separately and is not part of the buffet, so do expect to pay RM20++ extra for a pot of refillable green tea. We weren't told this, and were quite taken aback when the bill came.

Quite a fancy Japanese restaurant in Plaza 33. Spacious, well stocked wines, that comes with a a bit of premium price. The portion and quality justifies it though. Didn't take any food photo. It's good but nothing to rave about. Service is excellent. Great for a business lunch.

Like their service a lot !!!!!!! We went on Sunday night for birthday celebrations, there's 10 of us and all of us felt the hospitality is superb. The food is good, just bit sad that I cant try their sashimi as im pregnant now. The beef is yummylicious ( not wagyu) Lamd is also good.... The fried sakura prawn also nice. Will definitely come back again for the food, ambiance and service. Another disappointment is that didn't get to try the sake, but i believe is nice too....check out my photo on how they serve their sake, is amazing.

The food was SO GOOD. The Kampachi experience was wonderful! The staff were so kind, helpful and friendly; no snobbiness. Highly recommend for the excellent fresh sushi and sashimi-literally melt in your mouth! Everything was good from the cooked beef to the raw platters. The desserts were impeccable as well, daifuku was as soft and fluffy as clouds in your mouth, handmade when you order it! The mochi was equally soft and fluffy, wonderful texture! Ice cream was lovely too, the black sesame was creamy and sensous! The photos don't do the food justice!! 10/10 would go back to eat. A little on the pricey side but worth every penny!!

Kampachi @ Jaya33, has been our family favourite place for Japanese cuisine. Serves good and fresh Sushi, Beef, Chicken cutlet, Maki...etc. Portions are quite generous as well. We were well taken care of by the floor staff from the minute we arrive. Thank You ms Tang and to Kampachi management. We highly recommend and will visit again.

Still one of the best Japanese restaurants with incredible service after all these years. Not the cheapest but you get great quality and top notch service. Shoutout to April for making it a memorable evening!

Celebrated Aunt's birthday here today. Thank you to Christy, who took exceptional care of us, from even before today. She contacted me by phone sending me pictures of their birthday cakes and the Daifuku.. incase we wanted to order them. As always, the food didn't disappoint. We had 3 side orders. The salmon trio, ebi tempura and soft shell crab salad were absolutely yummy! We had 7 set lunches, cod, salmon and beef sets. All polished clean! The 3 varieties of daifuku made up the birthday 'cake'. Thank you, Kampachi, for giving Aunt a birthday to remember!

Came here for dinner with wife after a few friends recommend this restaurant. Indeed the service started when you step in the restaurant. After taking down your details, they will always greet you by your name which is very attentive. Food wise , the ingredients is fresh and taste delicious. Can’t wait to come back again to try other dishes. I would rate the staff service is 10/10 and food 9.5/10

Tip top service from Chyler and quality food. Love their green tea! Back again for their sunday buffet and is impressed once again. Fresh desserts made in-house. Unlimited unagi is certainly celebratory.

Had their Sunday buffet today, enjoyed it very much. No problem with reservations. No waiting during arrival, they almost immediately brought me to my seat upon arriving. Food quality was great and service from all the staffs were excellent, they were attentive and tried their best to accommodate (all) my request(s). 😂😂 Thanks to chefs and staffs! And special thanks to Chyler, i felt her professionalism and sincerity, which definitely adds on to my satisfying experience. Kudos! 😊😊 Looking forward to my next visit.

[pork-free restaurant] This place stands out as one of the finest Japanese cuisine spots in the PJ area. The exceptional food quality is owed to their Japanese ingredients and chefs. The service is top-notch, akin to a 5-star hotel standard. The friendly staff goes above and beyond, allowing us to choose and explaining the various types of soy sauce based on individual preferences. As a pleasant surprise, they treated us to a complimentary dessert, “Pan Cake,” after our meal. While the prices might lean towards the higher side, the satisfaction matches what you pay for. The only downside is the absence of pork on their menu.

Japanese fine cuisine? This is the go to place and enjoy the full experience of Japanese cuisine with its excellent service plus superb choices of sake and ocha but surprisingly just Nespresso for coffee (a big let down after an excellent meal). Both our waiter, Dennis and the manager, Edward were on hand to explain the finer points of Japanese cuisine and sake to enhance our experience of Kampachi's fine dining. Kanpai!! Shall be there again.

Absolutely incredible & TASTY cuisine; different from all Japanese restaurants I've ever tried! Their sashimi is soo fresh, their medium-rare steak is wow & their wasabi is 👌 so good! Their teppanyaki salmon set was amazing--even the vegetables were super delicious! Came here for a birthday/retirement celebration, they treated the man so well! The service/hospitality was flawless 🫶 Pristine environment too! Definitely for special occasions but is seriously worth it to try 😋

Booking via their website was easy and simple. Shortly after booking the manager of the restaurant called and confirmed my booking as well as providing me additional information in regards to their offerings as I am celebrating my friend birthday on the day. Parking was plentiful at the restaurant. Arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the front desk. Not sure because it was a hot day or the insufficient air-conditioning, the restaurant was abit too warm for my comfort. Upon request they setup a fan to provide a cooling breeze. We were there for the Japanese buffet spread. The varieties of foods was good. Sashimi and sushi sections are fresh and have decent choices. There is also a teppanyaki section with freshly grilled beef to order. The grill unagi and scallops was the highlight for me on the section. Grilled beef was ok but requires more condiments for robust flavor. Due to lack of space some of the food station was located outside the restaurant. There a sukiyaki station where guest can get a pot of sukiyaki with beef slices. The soup was abit too salty for me to drink but the flavor is good and the beef was tender. Other station were deep fried and pan fried selections. Their tempura prawns were really good. Tender bouncy prawn with a crunchy tempura shell. There pan fried fish were also fresh and flake. The dessert station however is a bit disappointing. There only a few selections of fresh fruits, red bean and black sesame stuffed mochi and peanut coated mochi. That being said, it seem like there are some hidden dessert options that you could order namely red bean or peanut butter dorayaki. Ask the waiting staff if it is available. In terms of customer service, the floor manager and staffs were attentive and helpful. They were polite and courteous. Our table were cleared regularly when we were done with the plate. Also a big thank you to Chyler for the amazing birthday surprise for my friend. The dessert platter for the birthday boy was amazing and the small gift was memorable. Overall the service is excellent, buffet offerings are good however would like to see more options for desserts. Environment was ok, hopefully next time we visit (which I will) it would not be too warm.

Serve quality food and it is not too expensive. The portion is big. Their sashimi, ikuro chawamushi and grill lamb rack is superb. The lamb cost RM 75 but have 3 pieces ,can shared by 2 person if small eater.

Had an awesome meal here. We had the salad for a starter, sashimi, maki, wagyu beef and a surprise dessert! Everything was fresh and excellent. Kudos to Jenny Ong - the outlet's F&B manager, Christy Chai, and the rest of the support team for the bespoke experience. Thanks for going the extra mile and see y'all again soon.

From the ambience when you walk in Kampachi Plaza 33 , to the staff in my case Chryler is very attentive to cater every need, to the Chef and fresh food. From starter to main course even the desert are superbly decorated and delicious. I give 5 stars!

Brought my friend to the Sunday buffet here for her birthday and it was fantastic! Not a huge range of food but definitely more than adequate, and the preparation was great. The sashimi and sushi were very fresh. The servers were really helpful and friendly and special praise to our server Dennis who, when he noticed that my friend was limping, told my friend he would fetch whatever she wanted from the buffet for her so she wouldn’t have to walk so much. They even surprised us with a birthday song and dessert! The only drawback was that it was a bit hot as the Aircond wasn’t working well but overall a fabulous experience!

Kampachi is different from what it used to. I feels the staff is very pushy and desperate for sales. Very commercialised. We did not book a table. Just a walk in customer but staff at the door ask for contact number and I kindly reject. Why?? When seated, we were presented with menu and seasonal menu. And staff bought some seasonal raw ingredients to our table. Namely Wagyu beef , flying fish, giant clam, flying fish and some fish. Explaining every item and “price per 100grams”. We felt very offended and were pressured to order. Bad experience. Prawn tempura is over cooked and tasteless. Maybe frozen prawn were used.
