👍👍 Had the Spicy Raba Noodles - Excellent!! Homemade noodles had very good texture, curry was very tasty but not too spicy, had an assortment of “leow”. Great vegan food!!! Highly recommended! Atmosphere is a typical SS2 kopitiam. People often mention noodles, soup, good, noodle, taste, meat, fish, years, nice, price,

We had breakfast here. This restaurant has stalls selling vegetarian food, noodles such as wan tan, fried kuey teow, soup kuey teow, etc and chicken rice. The vegetarian noodles and wan tan mee were good. The drinks were normal kopitiam standard.

The portion is huge. I could'nt finished it up. Better to share a bowl with another person. The soup was tasty but somewhere the sweetness seems to be overpowering. Overall its still taste good.

The BEST PENANG MEE GORENG in the world! Penang’s old tasting flavor and claimed to be from Bangkok Lane and definitely authentic! A MUST TRY…! No need to travel all the way to Penang for it!

We ordered Laksa and Bak Ku Teh, which form 8.50RM is a good value for money. Both soups are on the lighter side, and maybe cause definitely don’t taste MSG and maybe missing the none vegan boost.

Great place that sell all variety of nyonya kuih! Huge selection for kuih lovers. You named it, they have it. The taste was OK and all kuih is freshly prepared on the same day. However, the kuih is quite pricey. It costed more than RM2 for a small box but acceptable if you are looking to reminiscing some childhood memories.

My second time of visit and bring mum to try the food. The food is very comfortable, and I like the part that is no mock meat in the dish 😊 I ordered Vietnamese spicy soup noodles, the taste is very pleasant, and the spicy level is tolerant. It tastes a bit like asam laksa clear soup base. Very interesting... Mum ordered the Chinese yam seaweed soup. Lovely too...

Food - 4.2/5 Environment- 4/5 Fish noodle with milky soup broth was good. Fresh fish meat, and was given 5 big pieces, soup tastes great, well balanced between Chinese wine and milky soup. (RM15) Char hor fun with sliced fish meat still ok, but the fish is not quality typed, so the meat is kinda too soft (not texture). (RM11) Mee goreng with sotong was good. Same tastes as in penang. Will revisit again, and try their other dishes. (RM9)

It's quite popular and the food stalls here are decent. Mpst of the food is nothing to shout about, so, its a can-eat place. But one noodle stall stands out, which is the Fishball Noodle. The aunty has been doing this for more than 10 years, and her fishball noodles are one of the best I've tried in years, or decades. The wan tan mee also has lost its charm over the years and is now just normal. The duck rice in the evening is still quite nice, but the price has increased quite a bit. Other than that, it's all OK la... maybe some new foodies may rate this place as awesome, but I've been coming here for more than 20 years as I live near by.

Delicious Beef and chicken Satay with savoury chili peanut sauce. Amazing to maintain quality and taste after so many years; easily more than 30 years since Restoran Chow Yang days.

Top 5 Wantan Mee in PJ and Top 5 PG Curry Mee in PJ STATION 8 COFFEESHOP I am very particular in my choices of Wantan Mee and Pg Curry Mee in PJ/KL. This place makes it to my favorite list. WANTAN MEE This particular Wantan Mee has the following attributes. 1. Noodles texture = springy 2. Char Siew = not BBQ-ed enough for me in terms of smokiness and meat is too lean. 3. Wantan = average 4. Gravy = nice and wet and it complements the overall dish 5. Green Chillies = well marinated in vinegar 6. Overall Taste = Delicious (4 Stars) PG CURRY MEE 1. Noodles texture = soft 2. Toppings = cockles, cuttlefish, prawns, tofu puffs and blood cubes (90% complete. Don’t have mint leaves). 3. Soup = average 5. Red Chilli Paste = genuine Pg Curry Mee chilli (fair) 6. Overall Taste = Fair (3 Stars) 7. So far, only this Pg Curry Mee has made my list. It still lacks the kick that the ones in PG has, but I guess this will have to do, as no other stalls in PJ/KL have made the list yet. .

First time tried the cordyceps flower soup with their homemade noodles, good portion for the price compared to Subang Jaya, and it tastes delicious and healthy with the herbs, enough vegetables, noodles is springy, soup is clear and yummy I finished it all, I’ll definitely revisit to try other dishes, rare to find healthy vegan stalls, pls support. Tried the bak kut teh noodle soup next round and the mushroom portion given was generous, no MSG used in the soup yet it’s naturally tasty

Had the ultra popular Penang white curry mee. It was my first time ever. Had to wait 45 minutes for my bowl (RM10) to be served. Stall starts serving orders at 7:30am and stops accepting orders around 8:00am. Yes, serious, one can only order during that precious half-hour window. Closes on Mondays and Thursdays. Processes huge volume of takeaways in-between serving dine-ins. Patrons start sitting in the coffee shop around 6+ to wait for it to open. Verdict: Overhyped. Doesn't live up to its reputation at all. Curry is somewhat bland even after mixing in the chilli oil (chilli paste). Definitely not worth the wait. The truth is the award-winning Penang White Curry instant noodle beats it hands down anytime. Seriously! The consolation was the coffee shop served good drinks. Had one cold white coffee (RM3.80) and one cold Nescafé (RM3.60) while waiting. The former is better than the latter though.

Came here to try the newly opened Penang mee goreng stall and it was good. Also had the wanton mee and sam kan chong pork noodles, both which were so-so only.

People always say, come for the penang curry (yah mostly by penangnites). I would say, come for this fishball noodle. I came late so the braised pork habis dy, else they will include 1 braised pork there. Fishball soup is flavorful with handmade fishballs Noodle as you can see in the picture, 充满层次感. One word: Jeng

One of the most popular kopitiams in SS2 area. Expect to wait for a table and serving times upwards of half an hour during lunch hour. That is why I came here at around 11am on a weekday. Most of the tables were empty and there is almost no wait for the food. I ordered the dry wantan mee with charsiu. The noodles are springy and have a great bite. This is how wantan noodles should taste like. Portions have shrunk even though prices have increased. Nowadays, I have to order the medium size even though I am not a big eater. While the noodles are great, the same cannot be said for the charsiu. The meat is dry and tough. I've been spoilt by great tasting charsiu from the likes of Toast n Roast and Boon's plus the portion is again pitifully small. Overall it's not bad but definitely not something I'll wait half an hour for.

I recently visited a Chinese restaurant and had the opportunity to try their Fish Head Noodles and Vegetarian Assam Laksa. In my opinion, both dishes were okay, but I do have some specific feedback to share. In my opinion, the Fish Head Noodles were served in a generous portion, and I appreciated the abundance of fried fish included in the dish. The broth was satisfactory, but nothing special. One thing that did stand out, however, was the pricing. At RM15 per bowl, the price was slightlt higher than what I would expect to pay for this type of dish, regardless of whether you choose fish head or fish meat. Moving on to the Vegetarian Laksa, the dish looked visually appealing, and the price was reasonable at RM8.50 per bowl. I'd appreciate the effort of the vendor in preparing the vegetarian version of Assam Laksa as lot of meat based materials has to be replaced with an alternative. However, the broth was okay, and the dish in terms of flavor or texture is ok. I would advise to switch to another types of noodles, as it served with thick beehoon wasn't really suitable for this dish. Overall, I would say that the Chinese restaurant is average, with nothing too exceptional about the food or the experience. The Fish Head Noodles were satisfactory, but the price was steep, and the Vegetarian Laksa was visually pleasing and worth a try.

It looks to have a huge change after many years of absence from this shop. Overall, the environment is still ok, and acceptable. The taste of pork noodles like have changed. Yet, the dumpling is good and worth to try. The Food price here has increased as everywhere nowadays.

Just love the hokkien mee hoon at this coffee shop. The wantan mee is nice too. The duck rice is a classic. The white curry mee that sells out by 8am everyday. The fishball noodle aunty is famous too.

Very nice home made fish balls, taufu pok, fish fillet and Hakka braised pork (too fat) noodles. Always revisit the stall whenever we miss the food.

I had the Hakka Leicha and it's good. I find the veggies served is unconventional but the green tea soup is good.

The Satay here far surpasses the quality of meat and taste of the better known places in the vicinity but is only open for dinner. The couple that own this stall were from the original Chow Yang and have been in business for more than 40 years and have always maintained a very consistent flavor. You can also have a CKT from the often reviewed James Bond CKT. The Wan Tan Mee is also noteworthy. - its even served with old school wooden chopsticks and the charsiew carries that smoky flavor which isnt very prevalent anymore. Recently a new Mee Goreng stall popped up and is said to be the nephew of the original Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng in Penang. Tasty amd not a wet mangled mess like nearby competitors ...... Its well worth a visit.....

Tried the pasembur before, and today the mee rebus ayam. Nice Pasembur, appeals to old folks, ie old skool taste. Mee rebus more on the sweet and sour sauce type. Will try the mee goreng next time. Overall can see why more folks are visiting this stall as the taste and ingredients are very nice comfort food.

Great laksa. All natural with lots of natural ingredients and no artificial meat! Too much noodles though. I could only finish half the noodles.
