A good Dai chao place in Ara Damansara. Although service was okay. The food and price was good, especially the portions. We Ordered their "Sweet and Sour Pork", "Venison fried with ginger and onion", Salted Egg deep dried tofu and mixed vegetables. Their Sweet and Sour Pork taste just right , not too sweet and the pork is just nice as well, doesn't feel like so much batter was put on it and very meaty. Their stir fry venison with ginger was nice as well. Can taste the natural taste of venison. Their Salted egg deep fried tofu was great as well. Not so gelat and oily. The mixed veggies were good, taste the same as everywhere else. The final takeaway is the portions. Felt reasonable with the price.

    - NON HALAL RESTAURANT - Nestled in the Ara Damansara area. this corner lot restaurant is right smack along the what I like to call Restaurant Row. A rather typical "dai chow" (big fry - chines restaurant dishes in an informal setting), Hiing Fatt sits in between the informal - formal scale. Parking along this street during weekdays is non-existent, evenings are good, weekends are even better. The restaurant now sports bright red lanterns all over the restaurant, and has seating indoors and also on the "courtyard" area which offers a bit more air. Normal circular tables with tablecloth and plastic chairs are arranged in the restaurant giving good space between tables. The menu is very extensive, and features almost all the favourites, and then some. I won't be surprised if you're new to the restaurant and am left a little bewildered with the choices galore. This would end up looking around to see what the other people are ordering, and you'd probably still won't be any the wiser as every table probably has dishes that don't duplicate each other. Taste and quality wise is good. It's not exceptional, but is above average of a common tai chow. One of the specialties here are the crabs, which was unfortunately not available during my recent visit. They cook it in a variety of ways, and that seems to be the case with all the main meat groups as well. I don't know whether you ever get this feeling - but it becomes like a gamble when you can have chicken or fish done in so many ways, it becomes like a lottery to pick the right one. Prices are quite reasonable for the portion sizes. End of the day - it's a step up from the common tai chow and prices are reasonable enough to drop by often to try their different dishes.

The overall taste of the food in this particular restaurant located at Ara Damansara is acceptable. They have two separate restaurants located next to each other and one of them is air-conditioned. The service is quite good and the lady boss is kind.

Fast Service and Delicious Cooking Come here early at 7pm and you still have a choice of tables. Food was served around 30 mins. Food taste good. Pork Ribs are generous for the price. Niche chicken cooked in mayonise. Fish Slice taste fresh. Spinach dish was fill to brim despite being small size order.

The restaurant is divided into two shops, one with air conditioning and the other without. I think there’s a minimum spend if you want to sit in the air-conditioned section. Overall a pleasant chicken dinner, the shark's fin came in a huge pot, however, there was not much crab meat, scallop bits, or "shark's fin." Taste-wise, it was okay. I didn’t like the fried bean curd with salted egg; it was crispy and tasted good on the outside, but the bean curd inside was rather bland. Other than that, all the other dishes were decent. Plenty of carpark along the road on a weekend evening.

Went for lunch, we are the only patron for the entire lunch hour session. Only have non aircond seating, perhaps that why not suitable for lunch session. Food has nothing to shout about, all average taste. Portion wise is good though. HIGHLIGHT : Marmite chicken is good.

I guess that almost every area has their own popular to-go Chinese restaurant. In Ara Damansara, we were taken to this popular Chinese restaurant by a family member who lives nearby. Taking up 2 shoplot, they have 2 sections - air conditioned and non-air conditioned. Typical Chinese restaurant setting I'd say. ◾Steamed prawns with egg white and ginger - brought my own prawns to be cooked (with extra charges of course). ◾Dong po yuk ◾Steamed bak sou gong ◾ Sweet & sour pork ◾Braised taufu with kani stick ◾Long bean with salted egg yolk Overall most dishes were quite appetising and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal from the beginning until the end. On weekends, it is advisable to call ahead to book for table if you are going in big group and want to enjoy your meal in the comfort of air conditioning environment. My verdict - not the best Chinese restaurant but probably the better one around

This place serves acceptable ala-carte Tai-Chow at reasonable prices and portions. I apreciate the fact that ala carte dishes come with slightly more meat compared to the average store. The owner is friendly and service staff attentive, although the wait for food seems longer than some other places. This place also serves red bean tong sui with most meals instead of the usual chinese soup-of-the-day. The ambience is comfortable and warm, with soft background music that isn't too intrusive. The Asam Pork Rice is really good with a punchy spicy sauce and good overall portion. - 4 Stars The Ginger Beef Kuey Teow comes in a very soupy and mild gravy, which isn't to my liking as I prefer a drier and intense sauce. The soupiness also prevents the noodles from getting any 'wok hei' or char. However, there is plenty of beef used which is also quite tender. - 2.5 Stars The Singapore Mee Hoon is not bad, but the order with added noodles had patches of dried noodles without enough flavour. The house sambal is quite wicked, and does enhance dishes in general if you like spicy food. - 3 Stars The Sweet and Sour Pork Rice has an okay sauce which is a little too sweet, and the meat chunks seem a little smaller. - 3 Stars

On our first visit to this non airconditioned outlet at Ara Damansara (out of four outlets), we ordered cai pu steamed cat fish, soy sauce fried prawns, dry chili bull frog, and claypot curry mixed vegetables. The food is tasty, although the frog dish was a tad sweet. The bill came to RM187.50 for the three of us. Parking is limited and a challenge to find during peak hours.

Food wise Hing Fatt has not disappointed me at all. This is one of our to go place when we want to savour some good food. There is an aircon area if you plan to invite guests but I do hope the management will try to ventilate that area more as it has a musky smell. Watch out for their promotions. Crab was on promotion when we were there. T&C applies I think.

Got the food very fast. Fried Bee Hoon and fried rice are highly recommended.

Horrible disgusted experience. First time in our life being served dead crabs so unethical. Disintergated flaky and mushy flesh. They denied and refused to check nor verfy for themselves. Kam Kat drinks too were dilute not much taste.

Had a CNY Gathering Dinner here.. My mom say the price is a bit mahal for these dishes, maybe is CNY time.. Food oklah... but the fish a bit over cooked (maybe it's just my piece). The Herbal Chicken doesn't look big portion to me (charged for big). The Fried Egg with Preserved Radish doesn't get the taste... The Mixed Vegetable Curry not enough spicy.. The bill was divide by 8.

Went for CNY eve dinner and the place was crowded as expected but some dishes like the butter garlic prawn was awful because the prawn was not fresh, we had 2 prawns served dark (not edible) from the plate and the shark fin soup came 4 bowl and then waited 15 minutes for another to arrive and finally the last bowl another 10 minutes later. Overall the service from the kitchen was extremely poor for the eve of CNY dinner.

Chef/cook lousy, food below normal. Few dishes served wrongly. Properly not many restaurants choice in this area, so the biz still OK after MCO lock down. Score: 2/10.
