Rivergate is a quirky little shopping mall, just outside the Peterborough city center, close to the river and the passport office. Its great to find little centers like these with independent shops run by the people that own them. The mall feels like it has its own community and own character (rather than being just another large malls with the same high-street chain shops). Here, you can get your hair cut, keys made, have lunch, buy some funky clothes, buy a phone, have a coffee or an ice cream, get some really good fruit and veg (no really, the fruit and veg shop was really good). I stayed here for a coffee and doing some people watching waiting for my passport to be processed. I liked the vibe.

Large free car par for two hours, lots of different shops, I went to Asda which is a large modern supermarket selling household products and different foods and wine ect at very competitive prices, super quality as well .

Cross between a market and a shopping centre, under cover and colourful. Worth a look if you want a brief stroll somewhere different whilst in Peterborough.

Rivergate shopping center is very good when you go to the fruit shop it's cheap and fresh and there is a new furniture shop don't go there they try to steal money if you are smart enough so it's better to avoid.please note the second furniture shop is good. and then indian dresses and Thai grocery shop, ice cream so on good to go with family.careful when you park cycles, thief are more for bicycles.

I went to ASDA. In many places MUCH more expensive than Tesco, definitely not cheap as their ads would suggest. Full of unhygienic people coughing and spluttering everywhere, staff and customers alike, no covering up their mouth or using tissue/sleeve. (and I caught a really bad cold / genuinely believe in there due to this). Lots of people standing in aisles yapping loudly in their mother tongues and reluctant to move out of the way when politely asked. (IE "excuse me please") Finally got to a checkout, and the woman was THE most miserable person I have ever met. Rammed my shopping through with no consideration, did not crack a smile, and no please or thank you during payment. What a HORRIBLE experience, I shall never shop in Rivergate ASDA again.

Rico's cafe is great for a quick bite & cup of tea, for great Italian food visit Fratelli's, superb food & very friendly staff, there is also a shop to buy some yummy Italian cheeses & speciality cured meats.

Aot of small shops in one place :) and best place to make copy of your keys, to get furniture or rest in small coffee shop which reminds me of Italy

They have a bit of everything here, love supporting small businesses. Also ... Rico's Cafe... I always take my daughter here. This place is inviting and friendly, the staff are attentive and polite. The food is always epic ... And the cakes!! Yeah, say no more. 💚🔥💚

Rivergate lost John Lewis some time ago and it remains a big empty hole that should be doing so much more... The rest of the centre offers convenience but it's tired and needs a spring clean at the very least

Good place where to find vegetables, fabric, furniture and a nice Italian restaurant. Even a second hand furniture shop there is.

Went to Asda's cafe last Saturday before the local Derby with Cambridge. Had an English Breakfast and a coffee , great value a good start to the day as we won 5-0 . The hard working staff excelled themselves with the influx of hungry football fans . A pleasant cafe to have a meal , thanks Asda .

The Rivergate Shopping Centre in Peterborough has individually owned units however while it was great to see more and more shops opening here and it is home to one of the best bubble tea areas, it does feel run down and I would love to see this place renovated up to be more modern instead of looking tired and ready for demolition.

Nice apart from seems to be a local meet up place for crackheads to collect there methadone and shop lift from asda so other than all the crackheads quite nice. 🤪

Always clean and with a good selection of shops. I would recommend the market cobbler for any shoe repairs or key supplies.

I visited ASDA optician here. The service was very professional and friendly. ASDA was very clean and the merchandising was excellent. However the self serve check out staff were not very helpful or friendly. The centre itself is nice with a variety of shops including charity shops. There is plenty of parking available.

Interior is nice just lacks cosiness. Service is prompt but not too welcoming or caring. We tried waffles that was ok, super nice mochi and quite sad blackcurrant crumble.

Cafes are fine, 2nd hand furniture shops seems reasonable. Hadn't gone to any clothing shop so not sure abt them.

Only a small walk through shopping centre however is located well with Adsa and Asda George stores adjacent and another household store too, walking distance of 2 hotels as well, has some nice little independent shops too

Went to a cafe in there called Ricos it has to be one of the worst places I've ever been in for breakfast There's no signs letting you know to go to a table or where to find a menu or that you have to go to the counter to place your order The food wasn't great and we both had a sausage that was rather dark and had obviously been cooked previously then gone cold and had been reheated as the skin was all wrinkled where it had gone cold it was disgusting couldn't eat it as we didn't want upset stomach Avoid this cafe

Looks like a few of the old market traders have moved in here good variety of shops

  • 4/5 Mickie G. 2 years ago on Google
If your coming here you need to park in the Asda carpark (limited to 2 hours and be an Asda customer). Not so many shops open anymore, but still a nice Italian family restaurant and food store there, Bubble Tea place and specialist gamer store and other outlets. If your looking for secondhand furniture there is also a large British Heart Foundation outlet here too 💕

    Very tiny centre but cute

Never visiting again, been visiting rivergate ever since it opened and the recent change to the parking being limited to 2 hours is pathetic. Its just not enough time to shop and visit multiple stores with children and get out within 2 hours only to be stung with parking fines and there is no option to pay more. Better off going to Tesco, Lidlt Morrisons anywhere but here

  • 2/5 Michelle M. 1 year ago on Google
Not very good at all😔.. hardly anything on the shelves and lots of ASDA workers just walking around when I needed help as my self scan froze so had to re scan everything again.. One worker actually said to me "I don't know" when I asked him and then just walked off... Plus what I did buy, I was only allowed a max of 3 so ended up putting things back(it was bacon) .. I'm sticking to Morrison's from now on

Unfortunately lots of empty shops, but the shops that are there, are worth visiting, plus Asda and George which is a shop on its own. There looks like an awesome Italian cafe, not had the pleasure to visit yet, but it's on my list of to do things.

Love this place. Everyone must try a little bit of an unusual hidden shopping experience. With unique little, cafés, Italian Deli, fabric shops, a charity shop with a fantastic range of products used and new and not sure what else but I'm going to go back .

  • 3/5 Serap R. 1 year ago on Google
It's interesting, definitely something new but yeah not really a place for me to shop. The Italian and Greek shops are looking nice though. Especially the Italian one looks like a place worth visiting

  • 5/5 Niladri M. 1 year ago on Google
There are shops of British Heart Foundation and few local restaurants, clothes, furniture, ice cream. It seems that clothes and furnitures are little overrated. Good spacious lobby, disabled access are there.

Seems nice.. There is a variety of shops to visit, but it could do with little upgrade or fresh paint..

  • 4/5 Callum W. 7 months ago on Google
Nice little centre to walk through. 🛍️ Nice little café's for light refreshments. 🫖☕🍰 Asda at the end is brilliant, had a massive toy section, some Hot Wheels Monster trucks which were ' Exclusive To Asda ' and even had a Bargain Buys. 🛒🛍️
