Vale muito a pena a visitação à casa-museu do escritor também pela memória do combate ao nazismo, ao fascismo e quaisquer variantes do autoritarismo que insiste em ser a tônica do espaço público no Brasil. Além da parte expositiva, há publicações sobre quem buscou a América do Sul como destino para exílio. Logo em frente à casa, há ainda em atividade a padaria que o casal Zweig costumava frequentar, fica como sugestão para um cafezinho.

This is amazing I love Stefan Zweigs books it's sad that he had to Leave Europe & that he & Lotte killed themselfes what a great loss for the World! It hurt him to loose his Austria & Vienna his beloved home town. I liked the Museum, to see where Mr. Zweig & Lotte lived. He loved Brazil cause people from all races & Religions live peacfully together & this was also Zweigs ideal. I saw some of his own belongings in his house fantastico!!

Simple museum dedicated to Zweig with some exhbits about different artists. The staff are very welcoming. Free entrance!

Very nice museum, portraying the life of Stefan Zweig, very well maintained and well informed guides. Recommend it if you are into intellectual characters who made a difference in the XX century.

Be careful the informations are not updated. We came from Rio last friday and found the house closed without any explaination. On saturday as well. We tried to call several times, no answer. We sent emails, no answer as well.

Open only on Fridays and weekends.
