Hello, police? These people are repeatedly declaring themselves as "fine dining" on dates that are not the 1st of April. The service is below McDonald's standard and the staff manners are worse than those of construction workers catcalling women who are passing by. If you want to feel like a liability for politely entering, ordering what you want and fairly settling the bill in the end, Aruna is the place to be. If you're a fan of the hillbilly staff gaslighting you about something you clearly saw written in the menu and later on gossiping about you, you're gonna LOVE the waitress here. Humiliation and being treated like you're inferior are your thing? Don't waste another second, come to this restaurant! You heard me, hurry up, run, you better be there way before the closing time if you don't want to listen to a bonus lecture on the tough financial situation of a fine dining restaurant owner in the Netherlands, which is somehow exacerbated by you coming "too late" and/or ordering "too little". However, if you're aiming for a proper fine dining experience or just some normal, down-to-Earth place where the staff will treat you like a human being, go elsewhere. Or get a cup of the cheapest instant noodles, spread ketchup on a toast, eat a raw onion that has been sitting in your fridge for two months... I can assure you it will feel more like fine dining than what these holier-than-thou clowns are offering here.

From the moment we entered the staff was very friendly and (appropriately) funny and made us feel at home. We took the Sri Lankan 3 course surprise menu. It was great. They took into account our dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free, no chocolate, soy or corn) and made a menu that filled our bellies and our hearts.

Excellent restaurant, don't let the looks chase you away. From the outside you could say that the place needs a little TLC, but the food will compensate for this. We did not go for the surprise menu where you can pick the kitchens type; Thai, Sri Lankan, Indian, French and one more which I forgot. But we opted for the a la carte instead. The starters and the mains where delicious! We will be back to try other options and also the surprise menu eventually

I always enjoy eating at Aruna cuisine. The chef takes you on a culinary journey with interesting and tasty flavour combinations. The waiter and waitress are friendly and really take care of you.

We recently dined at this wonderful restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the waiter. The moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table promptly. The menu was impressive, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Our waiter was knowledgeable and offered great recommendations based on our taste preferences and allergies. We started with the Coquille and Red Mullet, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. For our main course, we ordered the Sri-Lankan Chicken Curry and the Entrecote. Both were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality, and the portion sizes were generous. The waiter Udie went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout the meal. He was attentive without being intrusive, and had a great sense of humor that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Even we got to know about the history of the building. By each dish we got by his advice the best selective wine what was perfectly matched. The ambiance was lovely and added to the overall experience. The decor was tasteful, classic and warm, and the music was just the right volume to create a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service. The staff truly make you feel like family, and the food is outstanding. I cannot wait to return!

Good food and good service...the Thai style veg curry with rice and the ravioli for kids made with fresh ingredients tasted amazing..overall a good experience.

The restaurant looks nice and the location is ok. The food looks and tastes good, but if you expect Indian - it’s not. The service is incredibly slow and a bit superficial: I asked for freshly squeezed lemonade and I received a 7up. We received a used glass by accident. One of us received a fork in the head (by accident, luckily it wasn’t a knife). The food wasn’t bad, but, overall, I wouldn’t come back.

The Atmosphere is pretty cozy. If you wanted a more personalized experience, then this is the place you should visit ! Everything and everyone is nice. It’s something that is definitely exceed my expectation especially in a place like Roermond.

I can’t recommend it more! We had a great dinner and experience. Not only the food is delicious - I had the duck breast, to die for! - but also the service deserves to be mentioned, we had the same atmosphere as a Michelin-star restaurant. Very well done to the chef and the staff. It is now on our list of best place to go when around, thanks again for the lovely evening! Please forgive me about the not-so-good looking pictures, I was so thrilled to eat them all that I took bites prior to have them taken 😁 Ps as an Italian and Genoese lady where the focaccia has been invented, I have been impressed by the quality of it. 6 stars!!

horrible service, horrible owner, very stuck up, mojito was the biggest scam in my whole life, I would never go there if I was you. Edit as response to the owner: We were not filming any of your guests, nobody was complaining, we were absolutely minding our own business and we are not youtubers. You approached us with a hostile attitude and were making up laws that do not exist. We decided to leave immediately after you treated us this way. Just because you once cooked for the queen it doesn't make you entitled to behave like this.

Amazing Sri Lankan food. The best that we have had in a European restaurant. Passion for cooking is clearly felt. We tried soup, Rice with curries and desert. Definitely will visit again.

It was unexpected amazing experience. Super kind and gentle staff. The menu has an amazing offer of very well elaborated dishes. If you don't know what to eat, just trust the chef... he is TOP, no kidding. ;)
