Dishonest hotel clerk who checked us in took money that was inadvertently/accidentally handed to him with passport, and then denied it. 99% of hotel desk staff would have immediately given back the money, but we were unlucky to be at the Basaya Beach Hotel! Other staff indicated that dishonest clerk was son of owner... If the owner's own kids are thieves, I wonder about the rest of the staff... Stay away!!!

Basaya is the best hotel/resort I have been a regular guest of since 2010. Staff is very friendly always welcoming, appreciate all there help and support. And the best of all is the manager he is so kind and always remembers me and offers me his best what he can. Haven’t been to Thailand since 2019. Not sure what has happened to Basaya since then but sure they might have come back very strong after all lockdown. Looking forward to visiting them again soon. Will be glad if I can get a direct contact of the manager or email sent to me. So I can see how I can book my stay for March 2023

Great value for money. Central location close to the beach and to shopping mall. Nice swimming pool, amazing pet area with a special pool dedicated to dogs only. The garden is nice and quiet, basic toom but clean and recently renovated.

Staff at reception very friendly and helpful, but sorry that the same can not be said from the rest. General workers do not even reply to a friendly "Good morning" or "Good afternoon". Breakfast was poor - no bacon, staff not willing to get us hot milk for cereal, only the first morning freshly prepared eggs served. This is a pet friendly hotel, but we did not expect pets to be allowed in the breakfast area and some dogs yelping and barking. We were also woken up at night by barking dogs on 2 occasions. Not a good experience at all.

3.5 stars would be a more accurate assessment of this hotel. Stayed in a recently updated room with balcony facing the pool. The only substantial criticism is that they did not manage to update the bathroom and the wear and tear is quite apparent. Great location steps away from Pattaya's Beach Road. We came because it is not only dog friendly but the hotel has put in quite the effort to create a very enjoyable atmosphere for dogs that is evident in the doggy pool and dog park. ***There is a 500 baht pet fee if you do not book directly with the hotel***

Liked the way it was. Morning free breakfast was also very good. But be cautious about meat (if you want halal). Heavy bargains are required to avail good pricing for rooms. Nice gym and boxing area. Near the hotel (just before the beach) there is a nice ice cream parlor. Overall a good place to stay a few days.

Basaya Beach Resort is located just 50-100 meters from the beach in Pattaya, Thailand. The hotel is right next to Beach Road and convenient for transport to entertainment centres and restaurants and shopping centres. Walking street is just 1km from this place in a straight line. The hotel is insulated from traffic and other noises and has a nice swimming pool, eating area with sun loungers, parasols, large parking space and it's own shop for buying small items. The hotel has a nice pool and s Swimming pool is the best part of this resort. Thai massage is also available along the pool. Restaurant is big and good. Breakfast had a lot of variety (You get a lot of options if you go to breakfast early). Coming on to the rooms, it was spacious and you get either pool view or beach view. 2 bottles of water are provided and extra ones are chargeable. However the Wi-Fi connection is very weak at this hotel generally for all the rooms. The prices of this hotel are slightly above the normal rates. Note that the staff is very polite and helpful. Had good time here.

It’s a resort hotel by the Jomtien beach with adequate quality of service. The pool is so nice and clean with low level of chlorine so we can swim comfortably without getting red eyes, breakfast is delicious as they serve buffet style food with various dish to choose, from eggs station, selection of bread, Thai food to fresh and healthy salad. However there are some parts that definitely need improvement. We got the bungalow style room, close to the restaurant and it gets super noisy at night, as the room is made of wood and totally not sound-proof. Air Conditioner seems super old and gets noisy at night while we sleep, so there are moments when we had to turn off the AC to get a quiet night. Pillow is hard and not fluffy at all, quite a disappointment. Room size is quite small and less spacious, more like a lodging house style, than a “resort” hotel. The bathroom is okay, as it’s equipped by a jacuzzi style bathtub that can pamper us during bath time. Staff needs to have better communication training with the guest, so we’d feel more welcomed and accommodated. Overall I give this hotel 6,5 out of 10.

Friendly staff.. Rooms are clean and good priced... Big clean pool.. Lovely gardens. Great location.. It is now a dog friendly hotel which didn't bother me.. It was alot more lively 😂. I've been here 5 times and it's always been an enjoyable stay.

Very nice location but property is very old. Room maintenance and cleaning done every day. Swimming pool is good. Thai massage is also available along the pool. Restaurant is big and good. In lobby area pool table is there for the guest on payment basis.

Location is great and convenient, close to the beach, restaurants and bars, but hotel and room is old. Water in bathroom sink is a bit yellowish when I was here. Staff is friendly. Hotel rate is cheap consider the location.

Rooms below average I stayed for 2 nights in basaya. It is decent 3 star hotel at very good location. Opposite beach and few minutes walk to walking street. Swimming pool is the best part. But i was not happy with quality of the rooms. rooms are like below average. i requested to change and they gave same type of room again. you will find better hotel in this area.

I only used dog park, but the place is so nice. The place has dog friendly restaurant and pet shop as well. Pattaya has no dog parks, so I will visit again.

Staff great.. Prices r going up. A Shuttle service would be great. Taxi is only option.

Pet friendly🐶! Went Basaya 2 times during lockdown, really comfortable, coz almos only me and my puppy enjoy all the whole hotel, and my puppy really happy stay here. Had some small issues but they solved so quickly, and their staffs pretty nice, it’s not easy for hotel during this 2 years, I’m happy they can keep opening, always gonna be first choice for me and my puppy, not just because they have pool for dogs, it’s because they’re real pet friendly hotel, and this reason is enough for me. 💓 PS: Moreover, they also have showers, hair dryer, towel, bowl,poop bags etc. for dogs🐕 🐕‍🦺🦮🐩

Unable to enjoy pool as all sunbeds seem to be reserved 24/7 by a bunch of colourful towels. Hotel is old and dated. Lots of mosquitoes. Comfortable bed though!

Basaya Beach Hotel has been renovated and the refurbished rooms are great value for money . The hotel is right next to Beach Road and convenient for transport to entertainment centres and restaurants and shopping centres. The room rates are competitive . The hotel is insulated from traffic and other noises and has a nice swimming pool and it's own shop for buying small items and alcohol There is room service and the food and drink prices are OK bearing in mind the location.the hotel is wheelchair friendly but you need to book a ground floor room by the pool.

Even though room service attended the room most days, the bath room was not cleaned before we arrived or any day during our 2 week stay. There were mangey and diseased cats everywhere. The pools are not chlorinated or salted. The showers have very poor pressure and are cold. The quality of build in the rooms are poor, and unfinished. The staff were very friendly though Amd if you are interested in pattyas town centre it is walking distance to all the sights and entertainment

Very bad hotel. We booked a hotel room for the dogs and we got there they said that there is no available room for us. And suggested to find another hotel instead of giving us another option. Very bad experience. I don’t recommend this hotel for those who have pets.

10 minute walk to central festival Shopping Mall and 2 minute walk to Pattaya Beach. 5 minute walk to Memorial Hospital. Greate Location for all activities.

Nice friendly staff. Building looks old and run down on the outside. Rooms are clean, decent, but definitely outdated. Has a 1970s feel to it.

Was still bring refurbished.We were given a room where the decoration was unfinished.The walls were still blank cement.The corridor outside was filthy with no lighting.The breakfast was very limited.I would not recommend this place while it is not properly finished.
