A mixed review because while the staff is nice, the room is big and the hotel is well located near the lake, I have not killed as many ants and other bugs in two months traveling as I did in my one night there. Hundreds. They kept appearing a couple minutes after I thought I had killed them all which made it very hard to relax.

Walk in was 1200 baht. The stay was fine. The a/c kept the room cool, there's a nice patio , WiFi was good and no password needed. We had breakfast in the morning which was fine, although the room is somewhat cramped. The location is great. In the complaint department, number 1 is the bed. It's a mattress on two platforms that is annoying to get off of. Maybe if you're a young person, but if you're in your 60's and as fat as a British guy, you're screwed. A more minor complaint is that there are just signed of disrepair everywhere, the room don't look hip, it looks shabby. Cleaning could be improved.

One and only time i am going to come here.went to check in at 2pm. Was told to come back at 3pm. Alright fine as check in timing was writtem at 3pm. Went for lunch and came back for 3 rooms(Was bringing my family along). Gave us 2 different buildings. Had to walk up and down to another block just to find my kids room. Already fustrated but nvm as the design was that way and we didn't know about that. Next day morning we were there for breakfast and stay there till 11plus before going out for shopping. They called us after we went out to go back as 1 of the rooms and need change to buolding C.which is another building. So 3 rooms at 3 different locations. And ordered us back to change our rooms. Whole morning they can't call us and waited till check out timing tjey called us to go back. And the attitude of the staff were as if they were not wrong. Worst serivce i ever encountered anywhere in hotel line. Btw the bed was very hard, the room didn't even have a phone to call the reception and for coffee u have to go to the reception to make as the water heater was downstairs. 😡😡😡

3.5 stars Decent hotel, right near the lake. The hotel is spread over more than one building - i was in the building across the street, in an upstairs room, right at the back so I had a partial view of the lake, which was nice. The bed was fine, although it was on a big platform which made is slightly awkward to get out of bed (I'm middle aged with a bad back). The room was spacious, and everything worked fine (AC, hot water, wifi). Cleanliness was adequate. The rate included a buffet breakfast (plain rice, fried rice, or rice porridge, with 3 or 4 cooked dishes (veggies or meats), plus toast, fruit, juice and coffee.

Very clean hotel and nice rooms. One of the best rooms in Phayao. Centrally located a walking distance to the lake. Bicycles available for guests.

I'd say this is a 3.5 star type of hotel, good for a couple of nights. It is in a good location, right near the lake. Breakfast is included and they have complimentary bicycles for rent. There is also parking for those that are driving. There are three room rates with varying levels of amenities and size of the room. The one negative of this hotel is there is no elevator so if you have mobility issues I'd recommend somewhere else. Other that it is great value.

The location of The Cozy Nest is vey good, being very close to the Phayao lake waterfront and attractions. Be aware that this means that it is also close to some night time entertainment establishments which can be a bit noisy until late. The rooms are of a reasonable size, with a small bar fridge, TV and air conditioner (which wasn’t too noisy). There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but they are available downstairs. The rooms are getting a bit dated and need some attention (broken floor tiles in our room). Of most disappointment was the tiling in the shower area..quite bad mould staining was in the grouting, which didn’t look good. Also there was a lot of noise from the room above from heavy footsteps. On a positive note the breakfast was good...a selection of Thai and American style is offered. And they have a reasonable self serve coffee machine.

Large immaculately clean rooms with good shower. Plenty of choice of Thai breakfast options plus fried egg, toast and jam. Staff speak a little English and are friendly and helpful. Very good value for money too.

Very nice. Good location just off the shoreline of Phayao Lake but close to the nightlife. On weekends Phayao has a relaxed atmosphere and nightlife. Healthy atmosphere as it is laid back compared to Chiang Mai city. Recommended highly by Captain Dee.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The first time was five years ago, when it was new. The hotel is already showing signs of age, and is in need of some repairs. I booked a “deluxe king” room on the second floor for one night. Room had a large comfortable bed, desk, wardrobe, sitting area, small balcony, extra large TV, and fridge. No kettle in the room. Hallways echo loudly, so hope your neighbors are quiet people! Breakfast was included in the room price, and was average. Coffee, a few stir fry dishes, soup, and toast. No eggs, fruit, or salad options. Large carpark on site. Location is good, very close to the lake, with a 7-11 and many restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Looking back, I don't think the deluxe king room was that much nicer than other room options to justify spending more money, as I really didn't need the bigger room. Would stay here again but for the price I would like to see some repairs made and a better breakfast.

The room was clean, great service, and super near the lake. The staff was friendly and the price was affordable as well. The only bad thing was the water pressure. Recommended to wake up for a run and see sunrise at the lake.
