From the moment we walked into 56 we knew we were going to be well looked after. The understated design and awesome waterfront location is very inviting. What an amazing team of people, Rii and Anna did a great job of explaining everything and we signed up for the open water. Our instructor Emmy was simply unbelievable, her attention to detail, her passion and her organisational skills meant that every minute was used efficiently. Jesper instructed on the advanced course and his enthusiasm for his work is infectious, what a guy. The diving experience with 56 surpassed all our expectations and we are already planning a return trip next year. Everyone at 56 was so welcoming- Anna, Ri, Emmy, Jesper, Val, Andy, Cam and Rich you are incredible and you all do a fantastic job. Saturday night BBQ is such a lovely way to hang out with the team and meet other divers, and the food is delicious too! Thanks so much for sharing your slice of paradise with us, we feel like we have made a whole bunch of new friends, and have had the most amazing underwater experiences.

I think Fifty Six Dive is spot on with their small teaching groups! It provides plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get the help you may need. Unfortunately, the PADI e-learning/e-manual is not included (wrong!*), but if I had to choose, I prefer the small teaching groups. That's why the diving center still gets 5 stars. *) Note: This turned out to be just a technical error! PADI's e-learning material is included! Rich at the center contacted PADI and it was all solved after a couple of days!)👌 I also give a clear 5+⭐️ to our very pedagogic, knowledgeable and committed instructor Emmy! She really has a sense of when and how to intervene and she made it very easy for us participants to succeed in our AOW training!👌 (A small anecdote: As a self-confident 66-year-old man, I explained before the first dive that I needed to increase my weights from 6 to 7.2 kg. Emmy looked at me and said kindly, but firmly: ”-Start with 4 kg, and I will bring some extra weights in case you need." And she was absolutely right! We landed at 4.8kg and since then I've had absolutely amazing dives! Talk about Peak Performance Buoyancy!)

First time diver.. Great day diving with Nils. Very professional and friendly, didn’t rush us and went at a good pace throughout. I would highly recommend fifty six diving & hopefully you are lucky enough to get Nils as your instructor!

Me and my boyfriend wanted to take an open water diver course with no prior experience of scuba diving. Once we arrived at the Island (Koh Tao) we were overwhelmed with the number of diving schools and we were unsure how to choose a school where we would feel safe and that we were in good hands. After we talked with members of Fifty Six we quickly got a good impression. Throughout the course the instructors were very professional, knowledgeable and kind. Despite us being very nervous to begin with they put us at ease and we had the most wonderful first diving experience ♥️ we would highly recommend Fifty Six ♥️🤿 Raminta & Kristian 🙏

My girlfriend and I visited Koh Tao. We signed up for a discovery dive as my girlfriend had never dived before, the instructor Jaden was super professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He made the trip very memorable. I would highly recommend anyone to dive with 56, and thoroughly enjoyed our day! See you guys next time in Koh Tao.

Incredible experience with a discovery scuba day! I did 2 dives with Bella who was extremely patience and explained me everything more than once (because I was nervous) and always with a great attitude. You can tell they truly love and are passionate about scuba in this shop. I prefer these small diving center with a more personalized experience compared to the big ones where they have lots and lots of people on the same boat at the same time. I will definitely come back here

So so glad we chose fifty six as our dive shop of choice. We instantly felt welcomed by Ri, he was very helpful and friendly, he gave us lots of information and went through our options for diving. We opted for 2 fun dives and they did not disappoint! Our dive instructor Josie was amazing, she was really knowledgable and ensured we got the very most out of each of our dives! She even bought her GoPro and got lots of amazing videos for us which we appreciated! We got invited to a weekly BBQ they hold which was amazing! There is a strong sense of community at this dive shop, everyone is so lovely! I have already recommended this place to 4 people and I shall continue to recommend to anyone wanting an incredible diving experience in Koh Tao. Thank you again guys at fifty six, hopefully see you again in the future!

My girlfriend and I went for our Open Water license with 56 and we could not have been happier. All the staff were very friendly and lovely, especially our instructor Arnoud. They went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and a part of the group. Highly recommended.

Scuba diving in Koh Tao with Instructor Ella from 56 dive was an absolute dream! Her expertise and passion for diving were evident from the start, making me feel safe and excited at the same time. The underwater world she guided me through was breathtaking, and her knowledge of marine life added a whole new dimension to the experience. Ella's patience and clear instructions made every dive enjoyable and educational. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Thanks to her, my time exploring the depths of Koh Tao's waters was nothing short of magical. Highly recommend!

I just completed the Digital Underwater Photography course with Emmy and it was awesome! It was Emmy’s first time teaching photography, so she brought her friend Stan to help. Stan is a professional photographer and was amazing at explaining the art of underwater photography and the finer details. His love for photography and marine life was infectious and brought a different energy to the lesson. Emmy was a 10/10 instructor! She went over all of my refresher/safety things before we went for the dive and led us to great sites. Emmy really made sure that the dive was safe/fun/informative. Emmy was enthusiastic and very passionate about instructing! Most instructors would go with what they know, but Emmy wanted her class to go the extra mile - So she went out of her way by bringing a professional photographer! I brought my GoPro to use, but ended up using the camera they provided so I could get into the more manual side of Underwater Photography. The class was also just me with two instructors so I really got every piece of advice/all that I could out of this experience.

10/10 Experience!!! We didn’t plan on going diving in Koh Tao. First of all because we didn’t know it was thing and second oft all I was really anxious in deep water. I’m terrified of sharks and don’t really like to see anything that’s bigger than my hand in the ocean. But my boyfriend loves it, so I decided to look into it. We went into probably 10 different diving schools and even our hotel included a diving school but we ended up with 56 because I felt safe there. Andy talked us through everything with so much detail and looked out for me the whole time. It was never boring and he really put so much effort in the training to make it as fun as possible. We couldn’t bee more pleased with the experience and how everything turned out. We went for 4 dives and absolutely loved each of them I was never scared I always felt looked after. 100% recommended and it’s totally worth spending more!!! A big thanks to 56 and of course to Andy <3

The best week in Koh Tao absolutely made by a week spent diving with incredible instructors and people from 56! I honestly couldn’t have had a better experience, Emmy (my instructor) is a true gem guided me through both my Open water and most of my Advanced course so knowledgable and just a genuine sweetheart! Jesper (my other instructor) took me out for my last two dives of my advanced and was amazing, funny and had loads of extra tips and tricks. 56 genuinely went above and beyond in both service and the training provided. When I fell ill (due to dodgy food) they didn’t hesitate to provide loads of options for me to be able to complete my course on different dates or providing references if I wasn’t able to move dates around (luckily I could)! The end of week BBQ they do is a beautiful touch and an amazing way to meet other divers from the school whilst watching the sun set from arguably one of the best places on the island, on the beach in one of their beanbags or hammocks, Dreamy! I can’t wait to come back to this island next year, 56 will be my first and only stop when it comes to diving!!! WHAT A WEEK! Thank you so much to everyone at 56 you are all legends!!!

We had a beautiful private dive with Nils. Everyone at the dive center is so friendly and the vibes before were amazing. Nils is a real professional guide and showed us beautiful spots while diving here in Koh Tao! Thanks to everyone and especially Nils for the amazing day. We will recommend it to everyone 🙌🏽
