Mr. Mote is the best tour guide I have ever hired in my life. He's a long-term local with 14 years living on Phi Phi with expert knowledge of every single landmark and viewpoint in the area as well as the best times to visit them. He put together two excellent tour schedules for us, with the second being created at the last minute due to a problem with our boat tickets that delayed our trip. Even in this case, Mote was extremely understanding and totally changed his day for us. He's also an amazing photographer! He managed to take pictures for us that were beyond the quality that even professionals I've hired in the past were able to produce. This is the guy you want to show you and your loved ones the island, trust me.

If you visit Koh Phi Phi, your first address for a perfect boat excursion is Mote. We found him by luck at SAii Village, but you can find him at Tripadvisor, FB and many other platforms. It is like a wonderful family excursion, lots of laughing, shared stories and a perfect mood. He speaks fluent English and is a perfect guide who will spot every fish, turtle and other sea life while snorkeling with you. You will visit all the photo spot highlights, get tons of inside information, have a nice beach picnic together and enjoy the time. And he shares all his taken pictures and videos from the excursion with you. It was an awesome trip and we can highly recommend it. Thank you again, Mote.

I did plenty of research to make sure my parents and I had the best possible experience in our limited time in the Phi Phi Islands. I came across Mote Tours and chose to book a tour with them. Absolutely amazing! Our tour was with his cousin, S, and Yommy and Matte. What sets these guys apart for me was that they are all very skilled photographers, and it was like having a film crew following us the whole time capturing stunning photos and videos of our experience.. then they sent me everything in a Google drive link that night so I can download it. They were also very patient with us and helped my parents get in and out of the boat.. which my dad was stressing about before the tour.. but they made everything so easy and enjoyable. Mote and his cousin are the best tour guide we have had during our thailand trip. After reading many reviews, researching many tour agencies in and around phi phi island/Ton sai pier we decided on Mote tour for our day outing of island hopping/snorkelling. We booked them via whatsapp. Mote is very professional, gave us all the info regarding the tour and package details. The charge is a bit higher compared to other tour agencies as they charge 2000 baht per person where as many other tour agencies charge around 1000-1400 baht for the same tour. Being curious we enquired the reason for the higher charge and Mote explained that they offer private tour experience with small group of minimum 4 poeple to a maximum of 8 people. In addition they also have their own photo services with iphone and with GoPro underwater which is a major difference that others do not provide. Because of these 2 reasons we booked our tour with Mote ignoring the higher charges. But it was worthwhile. We were picked up from the hotel around 8.30 and the tour started by 9.30 officially. First we had our first snorkelling session where we could see few fishes. Then visited the Maya bay, and snorkelled close to Maya bay where we saw lots and lots of sea life and also turtles. Turtle spotting here was the highlight of this tour. First time it was gloomy so we could see so many fishes but near Maya bay the sun was out and it was so clear to snorkel. We learnt that it is best to snorkel when the sun is out and one should avoid when it is raining or gloomy weather as we will not be able to see properly underwater and it would be darker. We also visited loh samah bay, pi leh lagoon which looks like an enclosed heaven around the island, Viking cave, Official Maya bay visit from the backside where there is a floating pier. delicious Lunch was provided and finally we ended up at monkey beach. They even offered to snorkel at shark point to see large sharks. Mote share all the iPhone and go pro photos via Google Drive on the next day via Mail We could not meet Mote but his cousin was with us the whole day during the tour. His cousin called "S" was very polite, professional and courteous along with 2 other staff. Overall an enjoying day outing around the island with Mote tour. This was the first boat trip I ever did in Thailand and it was absolutely epic. We booked a private tour with Mote which was SUPER worth the price. He took us to a bunch of amazing places that other boat tours don’t go. All the other tours go to the same places but this tour company will take you to a bunch of incredible snorkeling spots. We saw a ton of fish, a sea turtle, stingrays, and small reef sharks. The guide is super knowledgeable and I dare say he’s one of the best snorkel guides in Thailand.

I can highly recommend this boat tour. It starts early in the morning which makes sure that you'll arrive at all the popular places before everybody else, this means that you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming without dozens of other boats. Aes was a great guide who is super charismatic and speaks English very well. He joins you on the snorkeling and points out all the different fish, turtles, sharks etc. He also takes pictures (both with the phone and in the water with a gopro) and sends them to you for free! Lunch (you can pick between a couple of tasty thai meals) and drinks are also included and were great, you'll eat on a nice small beach. Price wise it is cheaper than the tours in the hotel and worth it, it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Highly recommend this scuba tour experience. Not only do you get to swim with turtles, sharks and stingrays but you also get to see some sights including maya bay. In addition the food is really tasty and Mr Mote is a really nice and cool guy who is easy to understand. He takes pictures of you on the boat and has a GoPro to take additional pictures/videos underwater. 10/10 experience for me and my girlfriend. Highly recommend instead of booking a diving tour that is 3 or 4 times more expensive.

Mote Tour is one of the best Phi Phi islands tours you can find! Mote and his cousin Aes are friendly, quick to respond, and arrange everything very well. I am a complete beginner to snorkeling and cannot even swim, yet with Aes' help I was able to experience snorkeling for more than ten minutes giving me the experience of a lifetime. They even take high quality photos and videos of your trip, so you can be assured you have permanent memories! They arrange for a wholesome lunch as well. 100% recommend Mote Tour!

Cannot recommend this tour enough! He was so communicative & genuinely so passionate about the tour. Unlike other boats, he went snorkelling with us and because of this we were able to see turtles, baby sharks, stingrays & many other fish. He also provided us with a blanket and lunch on the beach as well as some fresh fruit and a continuous supply of cold water. He took us away from the built up tourist places & even knew when to bring us to Maya Bay when it was most quiet. He was so informative and I think the best part was that he took photos/videos of us and the scenic views so that we could enjoy the moment and then sent it to us after. From start to finish it was unbelievable and one of the best things we have done in our 3 months of travelling! Definitely don’t hesitate to book Mote tours if you’re in Phi Phi!

Mote gave my family an unforgettable snorkelling experience. After reading Saii Phi Phi Island Village hotel review and after researching many tour agencies in SAii Phi Phi Island Village, my son and I decided on Mote tour for private Long tail boat trip. Although Maya bay was closed during our stay, Mote knew the best snorkeling places. He managed to lead us seeing lots of sea life, including shark, stinggray, see snake, crown fish, pufferfish and also turtle. He took many pictures and video for us. Words can't express how we enjoyed the tour. Our videos and pictures say it all.

Incredible tour and tour guide! Mote was super competent, funny and nice. We saw baby sharks, turtles, big squids and manta rays. Highly recommend!
