😠 Absolutely shocking experience. Our room was infested with bugs and worms and our blankets had bed bugs in it making for a very uncomfortable experience. Furthermore, the mosquito net in the bathroom was broken so we were eaten alive when sleeping at night. To make matters worse the AC did not work... Absolutely shocking experience. Our room was infested with bugs and worms and our blankets had bed bugs in it making for a very uncomfortable experience. Furthermore, the mosquito net in the bathroom was broken so we were eaten alive when sleeping at night. To make matters worse the AC did not work and was controlled by the reception. Moreover the receptionist was incredibly rude when we raised these issues with them, and checking out and did not treat us with respect.

Hostel is like heaven. All night party with cheap stay. Beach is on front side gives vibes for party .best private boat party is organised by this hostel in all over phi phi island . staff is very helpful n specially Boat party organiser are simply best. Hostel has only party vibes. For budget bachelorette u can visit this place with all group. Around hostel Indian food is available with best taste .market is very good over here near hostel . To be fair, the only complaint I have is that I wish the 'quiet hours' rules were honored. At 2am you can hear loud conservations past that time from both guests and hosts. I mean it's near the beach, so expect sandy floors but come on, it's an island. Hosts are kind and beds are clean. The only thing is that the bathrooms are VERY VERY VERY DIRTY (I saw human feces on ground)!!!! The staff definitely needs to keep up with cleaning!!!! Just go in with positive vibes, theres is a bar downstairs!

If you're looking for a quite and chill hostel, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a party/bar hostel, this also isn't for you. If you're looking for run down hostel discuising itself as a party hostel then this is the place to be. The Thai staff are wonderful and made our stay a little bit better. We were warned about the music until 2 am and we were used to loud hostels, except every time we went down to check on the party no one was there, all the staff had ditched and went to party on the beach at the good hostels. Every time you walk into this hostel the western staff will try and persuade you into going on their overpriced boat party, I was asked multiple times a day. You want a toilet and shower? No problem, they shoved them both together into a small cubicle so you have to wipe down the toilet every time you have to go since it's always covered in water/soap. In general this hostel is one of the better ones on phi phi, however the western staff need to learn how to be accommodating. Again, the Thai staff were amazing which is what the second star is for.

If you feel like staying in a disease ridden filthy room then this hostel is perfect for you. The rude bloke with long hair on the front desk had the cheek to get offended that we wanted to shorten our stay because of the cockroaches in our room and proceeded to act like a complete diva. If you enjoy aircon in 40 degree heat then this hostel is not for you, as they have the gustapo come around each day to turn off your AC outside of the permitted hours. They come round to each room with remote and turn the aircon off between 10am and 9pm, “Sie müssen die Klimaanlage sofort ausschalten!!!!!” Filthy uncomfortable beds with yellow pillows will ensure you wake up with bites and feeling like you haven’t showered in a month. You can also enjoy the complementary stained towels provided, to use in the shower which doesn’t have hot water. The room also includes a free treasure hunt activity where you can find belongings of the previous guests as they don’t clean the rooms, we were lucky to find a full dirty makeup set behind the curtain of the one window that doesn’t close properly. This in turn allowed for our room to be filled with lizards and mosquitoes which spiced the room up a bit. The one positive to this hostel, is the fantastic massage parlour across the road where the women are so accommodating to council you about the cesspit that you’re staying in. If you value your passport you’ll be delighted to know they don’t take a photo copy but instead take it as a deposit. Your most valuable possession while travelling is being used as collateral incase you add to the colony of stains in each room. If you do find yourself staying in this gulag of an establishment, make sure you wipe your feet on the way out. There’s no such thing as too much swagger… BFN

I stayed there 3 nights in a 8 bed mixed dormitory. I can say that is in a really good position but is hard to be far to something in phi phi because is very small and I think was the cheapest one that I found at the time that I booked. Anyway I had a really bad stay first of all because of mosquitos. I mean I don’t mind if there’s 2/3, its normal, is an island in a rainy season. But my room was completely full, like I killed 6 in maybe 1 minute, I’m not joking. So for me was so hard trying to sleep and during the night I was waking up all the time because they were biting me. Also one morning I woke up and close to my pillow there was a line of hunts, I didn’t know where they came from but was absolutely crazy. The bathrooms (even if we had 2) were so dirty and still full of flies that I don’t know where they came from because all the windows were closed. Btw I don’t recommend you to stay here, I wouldn’t book again. I know that stay in phi phi could be a little more expensive but is worth to spend more.

The bathroom wasnt clean, I had to take the drain out because the water wouldnt go through the hairs piling there, air con was managed by reception which made it hot at night (they put it on 25) and unbearable during the day, not much common areas, ended up leaving early and booked a different hostel. I had been in Blanco hideout in Railay and it was excellent, so I was surprised by this experience.

Dirty, damp beds, one shower room didn’t have a shower and it stank. Way better places to stay

    It’s a better hostel than the beach one! Stays relatively clean and beds are comfortable. Only downside is I had a bed directly under the air conditioner and it caused me to develop a cold. It was freezing the whole night because of this ;-;

Stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm, two toilets. Toilet didn’t work at first and the room flooded during our stay which we found out happens frequently (enquire this) smell of damp pretty strong. Price and location good

Such a vibe with the bar and free pool table, the rooms are a bit small but clean, friendly staff and the pub crawl is great to do.

The receptionist was very rude simply because we asked why they wanted to keep our passports as deposition. We understand that they get that question a lot, but that is no reason to be rude to the guests. The receptionist rolled her eyes at us and had such an attitude both when we checked in and when we checked out. Worst hostel we have been at.

WORST EXPIERENCE EVER!! First of all we booked over Hostelworld and the pictures on Hostelworld did not come close to how the Hostel was in reality. When we checked in, we were received by european girl who was totally stoned and by another very unfriendly hostel manager. When i wanted to pay by cash the manager tried to scam me as he gave me the wrong change. After we payed they told us that we HAD to give in our passports and after asking again if it would be possible to instead leave money (500 Baht as in all other hostels) they told us very annoyed that it isnt an option. They also didnt gave us a bill for the payement as we found out later so we asked if it would be possible to get a bill so we have a certificate that we payed. As we asked for the bill the manager reacted very unfriendly, annoyed and reluctantly gave us a bill. The Bedrooms were very dirty and the air conditioner was controlled by the Hostel (it was activated from 5pm to 11am) which means you werent able to f.e. turn it off at night therefore it sometimes got very cold and you werent able to sleep. The Bathroom was also super dirty, f.e. we had blood stains on our Toilet for the whole 3 Days we stayed there, which also shows that they do not clean the Bathroom at all. The „Nightwatcher“ sleeped the whole Night so it was very easy to steel to the passports at the reception. You might think at least the Location is good but the Hostel was located in a very dirty alley and you heard the loud music from the Bars in the City. So overall i can only recommend: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Trust me.

Don‘t ever move here!!! This must be said right at the beginning because our stay here was the worst experience we‘ve ever had with hostels, rbnbs, hotels, whatever. I don‘t even now where to start. After finding our hostel in a pretty uggly alley which definetly doesn‘t match with the pictures posted on HostelWorld, we were welcomed by a european girl that seemed to be extremly stoned. The girl started to smalltalk but because of her condition we felt pretty uncomftortable. Then the lady that seemed to be the boss arrived and did the check-in with us. For the price she was tipping anything in the calculator, so that my friend received less change than he should have gotten. Her reaction on us telling her that she made a mistake made us feel pretty uncomftortable again. First she relied on being right and just as we showed her the correct price with the HostelWorld App and the booking confirmation she handed the rest of the money to my friend. Then it got even worse. She asked us for our passports as a deposit which is ridicoulos. At every Hostel we‘ve been so far we had the chance to leave chash as a deposit but there was no other option and our hestitating seemed to annoy the boss. The european girl told us that we can read it on the website an on HostelWorld. And actually it is written down there but the short sentence between thousands of bad translated words easy can be missed. Next we were guided to our room and as the door was opened a bad smell came towards us. The beds felt moisty and the bedroom was very dirty, we don‘t want imagine when it was cleaned last. Staff comes into the room every day to empty the trash can and switch on AC, but the device was adjusted very bad so that I was freezing the whole night. After talking about leaving our passports with somebody we really feel uncomftortable with, we bove were sure that this might be the worst thing we did during our whole travelling. Than we read some bad reviews and people were writing about never getting their passport back. So I went back to the reception and asked for a bill that confirms that we‘ve already paid, the boss was visible upset with our trust issues. But he gave me the check and for the next to nights we‘ve always acted friendly because we were afraid that we won‘t get back our passports eitherwise. Overall: - reality doesn‘t match with pictures - bad and rude staff - bad service - dirtieness - bad place for a hostel - ridicoulus deposit rules When we got back out passports we were absloutely relieved. So luckily for uns in the end everything worked. There are enough other options for you to stay on Phi Phi. Don‘t go here an make the same bad experience we did. Kindly, Ben & Muki

Upon arriving at Blancos Central Hostel in Phi Phi Island, my expectations quickly soured. The receptionist exhibited aggressive behavior, raising their voice simply because we were engaged in conversation. This created an unwelcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of a strict school hostel rather than a laid-back accommodation. The rooms, unfortunately, did not offer a reprieve from the initial unpleasantness. They fell below average standards, leaving much to be desired. Our late check-in, occurring after 11:00 PM, proved to be a cumbersome process. The security guard enforced rigid key policies, allowing only two persons per key. This resulted in a frustrating situation where we had to contact our friends to bring their keys so that we could gain entry. To compound the frustration, the security guard continued to be overly vigilant. Even after we sorted out the key situation, the guard trailed us, going so far as to sneak into the rooms to inspect for any unauthorized individuals. This intrusive behavior left us feeling uncomfortable and violated. In summary, the overall experience at Blancos Central Hostel was nothing short of pathetic. From the hostile reception to subpar rooms and the overbearing security measures, it was a disappointing stay that failed to meet even basic expectations for a comfortable and welcoming accommodation.

Great little hostel - Cheap / Great location. Good air conditioner and the staff are super friendly and helpful. If your looking for a very affordable place in a great location this is it 🤩 I stayed in a twin room, comfy beds, basic but everything I needed. Thank you

Great location, close to the beach, loads of bars and places to eat but tucked away so it doesn’t get too loud when you’re trying to sleep. Great bar downstairs with a pool table and staff were always friendly and helpful. I’d 100% stay here again

Decent hostel, can escape the party a little easier than the other Blanco if you’re feeling rough. So much stuff close by, rooms were a little tight but can’t complain too much

Blankets were clearly sprayed with something and now cleaned. The bed felt damp and the room smelt. Felt unclean and uncomfortable.

Dirty room, bathrom/toilet with mold. I had a mouse/rat in/under my bed. Strange smell in the room. Location quiet okay. Near to the beach and not that noisy. But anyway. Not worth it.

Warning!! Be careful!! Stay away!! Please be advised, I would definitely NOT recommend staying here. Blanco runs a scam where they give guests an enemorous bill of drinks and food they did not order and are not responsible for paying for. If the guest questions the accuracy of the false bill given to the customer, Blanco staff become threatening and aggressive with the customer to pressure them into paying a bill that is not theirs. If the customer refuses to pay the fake bill, Blanco assaults the customer. Blanco commits theft, extortion and assault. Members of staff at this hostel are violent and assault guests. Blanco is dangerous for tourists and threatens the good standing reputation of all the other business establishments on Koh Phi Phi, who obey the law. Be careful and have fun on your trip in Thailand! Good luck!

Such a great hostel! Ed is so welcoming and helpful with everything. This hostel is comfy and quiet, yet also not far from the beach where the big parties are! Lovely hostel, staff, drinks and very social in the common area downstairs with games like jenga. Very good place to go when travelling alone as you meet so many people. 11/10 hostel! I know where i’m staying when I come back next time!

Very expensive hostel for what was a basic-at-best stay… would not stay here ever again - dirty sheets - no communal space, bar still under construction however advertised to be step 1 of a pub crawl - broken shower with poor hot water supply - intermittently working air con and mosquitos attacking you at night - door left open by other guest and no security between the dorm door and the street

Fun place to go out in Phi Phi. (The only one together with its Neighbour, during the low season)

Well-run hostel. Fairly clean, comfortable beds, and good AC. The bar had fairly priced beer and good happy hour deals. The owner graciously allowed a guy from the UK to cut my hair. Overall a very positive experience. Not too loud at night. I highly recommend going on the boat party that they run daily. Steve is a stand-up chap.

Horribly loud and dirty hostel. Doesn’t respect quiet time at all. While everywhere else settles down for the night, music and loud conversation can still be heard until 3-4am. DO NOT stay anywhere remotely nearby if you value your sleep. Frankly this place needs shutting down, what an absolute joke.
