I do not recommend this hotel. You can tell that no one is taking care of this place. There is mold all around the bathroom and on the shower head (photos attached). The cabana outside was so dirty, it was disgusting to sit on it. You can tell that some places were NEVER cleaned. Breakfasts are just ok, but if you are vegetarian there is almost nothing to eat. The only plus of this hotel is the view. Overall, the price doesn’t match the quality and I wouldn’t recommend to stay here.

The view was stunning and my room was pretty clean. The breakfast was nice and decent. Despite the relatively warm weather, I didn't see flies or mosquitoes to be around. The pool was nice. I have to admit the furniture was not top notch but it was good and what do you expect from a $60-$70/night hotel? I searched a lot to find such a gorgeous ocean-view room in Phi Phi and I am happy that I found and stayed at the Phi Phi Cliff Beach hotel.

Worst service experience in phi phi .. tried to fool customer.. demands extra money.. no room service available. Too far from all the party place. Staff not cooperative at all. Not helpful and rude. Doesn't have veg breakfast too. Much better option available at this cost point. Try to avoid this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for over a week. While the room was quite spacious, far enough away from the bustle of the city center, and had a nice walkout door to the pool /outdoor viewpoint of the bay, maintenance/upkeep was much needed. We had a rat(s) visit our room nightly (we saw them plus they left droppings on the table/vanity) and cracks in the molding/walls was a harbor of mold and who knows what else. It was likely a super sweet space 10+ years ago but the breakfast and structure are in great need of a revamp.

Poor lighting to get back, breakfast buffet not good at all, hotel is molded and run down. Everything is dirty, all the balcony’s are shared. This feels like a budget/motel situation, not a resort. We wanted to cancel but they did not refund. The only positive I can think of is the good Ac, and close to the pier (10 min walk). Far from bars. STAY IN LUXURY RESORT ON OTHER SIDE OF ISLAND. May 2022- phi phi is ok for a day boat trip, but rest of island is dirty and run down.

Amazing view, staff is very friendly. Rooms are large, but very dirty. Too many monkeys that are so annoying (attack tourists) Beach and water are clear and calm. Many boats arrive there and you can feel the smell of gasoline.

Great hotel in the midst of recovery. All hotels on the island are coming back to life and getting polished up again. What sets cliff resort apart is the customer service. From front desk to cleaning staff to especially the kitchen staff. All of our fussy requests were tackled with delight.

We had lunch as a part of a tour package in this hotel. The food quality was midrange. Maybe that was what our tour requested. But the cleanliness of the dining hall and its toilets was not acceptable. Lunch was served in cheap plates an utensils. On the other had the hotel is just beside the beach with a spectacular view. Several beachside beds are over there and one can swim in crystal clear green blue sea 10-20 meters away from hotel doorstep. Keep in mind that the beach is always crowded as many tours bring their guests there and boats keeps coming to shore and going.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. The positives are the staff is friendly, beautiful view of the bay and the location is very quiet away from the town. The negatives are the shower pressure was very low and there wasn’t any hot water for me. I wouldn’t stay here again…

Old hotel with amazing view. But they dont follow there own covid regulation. Cleaning with the same cloth over and over without desinfectant. Staff without a mouthmask at breakfast. First place i didnt felt safe.

Very rude staff and very bad serivce. The location is also quite cut off from the town where all the restaurants are present. Service is so bad that for extra water they ask us to buy from a shop next to the hotel. The hotel is quite old and run down. Breakfast is very average. Please skip. The manager is the rudest person in hospitality industry i have seen.

This hotel is not safe!!!! not hygienic and daily you will see thousand of tourist stopping ate this hotel because they doing a day trip from phuket. And this hotel is used as a stop over for lunch. Pools area are not safe. Everything is outdated specially they using old wood wich is never repaired. The town itself is more that 30 minutes away. The pictures from this hotel are misleading they definitely not same as in real. There are better and cheaper hotels nearby with better quality and a safer place to stay

Location: 1km walk to any good food, the hotel is also a main meeting point for boat tours, meaning thousands of people crowding the beach everyday. Breakfast: stale bread, not much variety, only decent thing was the coffee. Room: dirty, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or any surfaces wiped down, the bathroom was filthy, mould and water droplets everywhere, curtains covered with mould, dirt on ground. Bed: the worst. Was like sleeping on a brick floor, although the floor would probably be softer. Slept here 3 nights and the worst 3 nights sleep of my life Staff: the front reception girls are nice, however no one else in the hotel greets you, that is if you ever see any other staff…hardly no one around. Pool: so dirty, never saw anyone clean it in the 4 days I was there. Floating debris and grime.

Short stop over for lunch. Beautiful small beach and lovely environment. Almost like you entered an alternate world. Very enjoyable part of my long day.

The hotel is located nicely but everything was just bad. Staff was pretty friendly but clueless. The rooms was an absolute mess. They actually looked like they didn’t clean them at all. We stayed for 4 days and all they did was drop off towels. In the common areas there were just stuff laying around and not properly managed at all. Restaurant was ok. The hotel needs a big renovation and new management. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else in Phi Phi!

It is disappointing for a 4* hotel. Pros: location is perfect, 10min walk to the center, but far from the noise. Pool on the 3rd floor is very nice, amazing view. Rooms are very big. Cons: dirty - commom areas are poorely clean (glass lift was really dirty during all our stay), room has a clean bed, but bathroom shows some details not well cleaned. Needs maintenence (taps, tables...). Towels were clean but really old. Breakfast is just basic and served in a giant room that we suppose its use is only for the day tours they receive for lunch. Beach/pool chairs old and with mold. Monkeys are not their fault, but it's streessful (on the pool, on the beach). Staff tries to help in this matter, thankfully.

Great location just close to the pier and central area but it's quiet. The pillows to sleep are uncomfortable and the breakfast is so-so. The room is very spacious.

I'm currently in room 3016. Can't sleep because the water/electricity facilities are right outside the door in the hallway. Just a continuous, loud hum. I can't even turn on the air conditioning because it just stinks. The hotel is just old and run down so just not worth the money! I relied on the “so many good reviews” here. I would never recommend for the price!

Great place Haven’t been in the hotel but we had lunch in their restaurant on our boat trip. Food is all Halal and very clean and tasty. Bathrooms are clean and the beach area is great. They have a little bar hut on the beach where you can grab a drink or a smoothie or a crepe. The beach itself wasn’t very clean but okay. Beach chairs are free on first come first serve basis. Designated smoking areas also available. Would definitely recommend visiting that place.

Didn't have the best experience here. Staff are unhelpful. The room wasn't ready for us so we left our bags in a dirty room and had to wait half an hour for it to be cleaned even though we arrived 1.5 hours prior. Nice views but not worth the money.

Perfect for relaxation. In a quiet secluded corner of the bay. Spacious rooms with a large balcony for a panoramic view of the bay. Lovely pool. Long boat can pick up right in front of the hotel during high tide for island hopping. Would certainly recommend for a quiet stay away from the crowds and noise.

Hotel totally run down, not maintained. Service terrible. Rude and couldn’t care less. No one in charge. Pool nasty, elevator old. Breakfast terrible. Location literally the farthest possible. “Beach” is not usable, polluted and boats docked there.

Beautiful scenery (although I'm not sure on the fake grass) no hassle at check in, rooms perfectly clean and comfortable. I've stayed on Phi Phi 3 times and this is the best place I've stayed, garenteed a monkey visit too 👍

Evidently it was a luxury hotel years ago. Now it's a nice hotel but there is some maintenance needed. The breakfast is incredibly good and varied, it's self service and you can find fruit, cereals, yogurt, coffee, toasts, marmalade, eggs, and thousand island. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds super comfortable. The location is great since it has awesome views of the sea, especially on the 5th floor. It is, however, a bit far away from the main touristic area where all the restaurants and shops are located (at a 15 min walk). Furthermore, don't be fooled like me: the little beach in front of the hotel is not as it seems. It's very shallow, rocky and full of boats. So not a great place to swim. As for the people working at the hotel, they are rude and unhelpful.

The worst hotel in Phi Phi and even in the whole world !! Please avoid this hotel if you want to have good time in Phi Phi . Everything was catastrophic : the room smells very very bad and not clean at all , everything in the room was old ( you feel like you are at an old house from the 80th but at the same time very dirty ), there was a lot of mosquitos inside the room that , the breakfast is horrible ( not good and soo poor ) , the personal at the reception was unprofessional , unfriendly and rude (specially the big women was the worst ) Even if they propose for me this hotel for free , i will never ever come back !! You can find similar comments and even worst ( like finding rats and other things in the room and in the pool ) here and in booking . Even 1 star for this hotel is too much .

The resort itself was nice and in a more secluded area at the very end of town and away from the touristy stuff. We had a swim up infinity pool outside our room and it was gorgeous. The staff was also nice and they cart in your luggage from the main pier (no cars on the island). The only negative was that the hot water had a problem so the shower was either really hot or cold and we couldn’t set it to the temperature we wanted for a comfortable shower.

The place with a lot of potential to be great. Amazing view and nice rooms, but there is no effort for make the place friendly- the stuff are not welcome to the guest, the breakfast to basic and not really recommend. The facility too old (shower with rust ect.) Unfortunately not recommended

Amazing place.. We booked a room with an infinity pool and the view from the room was amazing. The rooms were big with a couple friendly washrooms. It had its own kitchen where you can prepare your basis ready to eat meal if you are willing to. You can enjoy beach side swing as well

I have just found a cockroach at our room!!!! The hotel is absolutely no resort. Its very, very dirty! Poor pool and really should be renovated. No cleaning service at the rooms. There is no way for getting any privacy at the balcony because there are no dividing walls at all. Besides it is way to offsite. Would not recommend that place.

Hotel is ok, rooms are ok, view is ok. But is very very dirty which prevent you to like the place. Plan to deeply clean your room by yourself when you arrive. Once done, the place is nice!

Best hotel/resort of my life. It has spectacular views of sea and mountain range. Though it take couple of minutes of walk from main port of Phi Phi island but you will enjoy it, I will go to this resort again. And they are so caring about guest. Foods are also delicious.

We went there only for a lunch as part of a phi phi Island trip with klook / Yatch Master company . Being vegetarians the options were limited . As a resort this place cannot offer any privacy due to the heavy day tourism traffic ! The surrounding beach was crowded

We haven't stayed there. Only had a lunch. The restrooms didn't have any toilet papers. The meal was ok but could be much better.

I like the location, beach front hotel with nice swimming pool and great room services. Their breakfast is just ok, not great at all. The coffee is nice. The hotel requires some upgrade as some facility is outdated. It is depends on what price you pay for. I booked during peak season which make me expected more for what I pay for.

  • 5/5 Kabute T. 1 year ago on Google
Big high quality rooms. Breakfast is just OK (e.g. coffee is nescafe powder) The location is very quiet and the beach is just in front of the reception. The hotel is 15 min walk from the party area.

  • 4/5 Jason C. 1 year ago on Google
First let me preface this with we normally stay 5 star resorts, The room on the beach with pool was very large. Great bed and bathroom was ok. Large kitchen but no plates, no utensils nothing but 2 glasses. I asked for ice was told to go buy some. Which was odd. The room is outdated but the pool and view is great. The staff are very friendly and professional in there jobs. Breakfast, for a Westerner was very basic and I arrived at the wrong time the eggs were cold. It was ok. The real problem is the monkeys, I recommend staying on the 3rd floor pool side. Ground floor is a battle at times to keep the monkeys away lol. The view and the staff make the resort pretty good. And I would return.

We were staying here 2020, 2021, 2022. During pandemic room costs 1000 - 1200THB, now 2000THB with Breakfast. But it still has great value for money. No complaints. Just perfect place for staying on PhiPhi. As for the soundproof: yes, you can hear your neighbors from the next room but with the closed windows you don’t hear night music from the reviving bars.
